Where I stand right now on everyone: 

 

1.  Pralaya - one post and disappeared, not liking that he hasn't been back. 

2.  Lenlo - meh

3.  Cloud - too early for me to tell with Cloud

4.  Darthe - not acting as he normally does, leaning slightly scummy. 

5.  Salami - being very quiet. Not normal townie behavior. minimal scum vibe

6.  Krak - leaning town

7.  Peace - no read 

8.  Mish - seems normal Mish so far

9.  Des - not seeing anything scummy from Des right now

10.  Tina - mostly engaging with AJ, not commenting on much else. I'd like to see her get more involved in the game

11.  Verb - spammy lil bugger, button pusher and spam enabler. Watching him. 

12.  Ragnarok - unknown so far

13.  Dap - no read right now

14.  Leelou - town

15.  Andrej - I keep going back and forth on you. Every time I start to think you are town, you push something ridiculous. I am not liking the push you are making on Rag, he made what seemed to be a normal post. Also, Des isn't just tunneling on you, he's mentioned a few people he finds scummy. 

 

Right now I could vote Darthe, Salami, Pral and on the fringe AJ, Verbal and Tina.

That was all he talked about for his first few posts.  Then we had a conversation about it.  Do you really not remember?

 

I was prolly drunk.  And sometimes I will ask someone to repeat a case cause scum can slip up doing that or because I want the whole case in one concise post.

 

The thing with Rag was that he came in to say he'd post later. I just find those types of posts useless and have seen scum use them as a cover for inactivity.

 

I like his play since then though, so admittedly the judgement was premature.

Andrej doesn't know me so went with an objective tell.  The issue being that I like to scum up my town games some.  :)

 

You don't know rag. His point is that meta varies so much that what is subjectively scummy here may not be elsewhere so until a meta is established you have to rely solely on objective tells. Not easy with an experienced player but more reliable in any case.

I'm a genius though so it's ok.

 

Two things:

 

1. Why did y'all let the train on AJ derail? Y'all like letting obvious scum off the hook?!

 

2. Why'd everyone stop playing mafia? Save the chatter for yalls knitting circles, or at least night phase. Everyone, start getting out some reads. NOW.

AJ, my first post was a comment about the theme and absolutley nothing else.. If you were gonna accuse anyone of what you're accusing Rags off, it should have been me. Didn't see you do that. Rags seemed like a very convenient target since he posted just before you did.

The bolded isn't true. You didn't vote for me because I jumped on AJ for his votes on Rag and Tina; you voted for me because you didn't like that I was playing serious since the start of the game. You can find your earlier post somewhere in this mass of quotes.

I'm starting to get a town read on AJ after reading his more recent posts. He has explained his reads well, but more imporantly his recent tone is making me think that he is town (see post #220).

 

I also have a town read on Krak. He was actively scumhunting since the start of the game and I like his play so far. I think that Lenlo is town because of his posts at the start of the game and his later Vanilla claim, but he hasn't said made many game related posts afterwards so I find him more difficult to read. I would like to hear more from Csarmi. He has been around but hasn't explained his votes and hasn't really commented on the game.

I think I successfully edited that.

 

Now to me...this is a very scummy post.  You have town reads?  That's nice.  What about scum reads?  When someone gives a reads list and has NO scum lean, it sends up red flags.

 

Tina or Cloud are my top two.

Still think Darthe was trying to force his meta earlier. And even tho he just tried scolding others for not contributing, I haven't really seen much from him in the contributing towards the scumhunt department.

 

Worried Leelou is buddying me when she defended me against AJ. And the smilie use as well (although yes, she was the first in my harem, now that I remember it. In fact, I think she had something to do with the origin of one of my titles... mebbe she got the werewolf bite on me? It was in the 100k 200k 300k thread, which means there is no way anyone will ever find it again.

 

Also think Rag stinks. Don't like the pompousness about the Champions game, don't like his latest reads (he thinks Tina and Cloud are scum, two I have town reads on), and he keeps making awful declarative statements in lieu of analysis about a post "This is either a scum or dumb post" "He is either stupid townie, overzealous townie trying to take on a Champion, or scum". First of all, it's really a veiled diminutive attack, since he's saying that the only way you're not scum is if you're doing something stupid (which would appeal to some's pride, in which case he can then say that they're scum). Second, you don't play mafia by just saying this post is dumb, this guy is scum. Or rather, you do if you're scum. Or dumb town.

 

If you're a smart townie, you explain WHY a post is dumb, or scummy. In fact, I'm tempted to vote him, but I guarantee it would only feed his ego at this point. Hear me now tho Rag, step it up, or discard that Champion title forever.

I have re-read the thread and can finally be active. Here is my list. 

 

1. Pralaya - has only 1 post so far. 

2. Lenlo - I agreed with his early fos on Player, who said he liked Darthe´s play. I also agreed with Lenlo about Darthe´s play. I also believe his claim. But lately he has posted a lot without actually saying anything. Lenlo - more thoughts from you, please.

3. Cloud - I agree with most things that he says. Town feeling. 

4. Darthe - I don´t see any scum hunting. I didn´t like his AJ vote/unvote. I also think he is trying to use his meta to look town. Slight scum read.

5. Csarmi - is unusually quiet. He is usually more quiet as scum. Keeping an eye on him.

6. Krak - I really like his play this game. I agree with almost everthing he has said. Town.

7. Peace - could be more vocal but I like where he has voted. Town.

8. Mish - is also more quiet than usual. Not sure about her. (Waiting to hear that she is not a Day 1 player.  )

9. Des - I like his posts. I wonder why he questions Verbal but still think he is town though. There is something that makes me feel unsure of him but I don´t know what it is. 

10. Tina - town, not very active so far but will be from now on.

11. Verbal - I don´t agree with his vote on Cloud, he is spamming a lot and comment on just a few things (mostly Cloud and defending AJ). Scum feeling.

12. Rag - it´s hard to say. Verb says we use too much meta here and that might be true. Still, it´s hard to judge someone that you play with the first time. He will look at things different than all of us since he doesn´t know our meta either. Unsure.

13. Dap - too few posts. Didn´t like how he liked Darthe´s initial play. 

14. Leelou - a lot of spam which says nothing about her alignment. I´m not sure about her. Leaning town so far. 

15. AJ - I didn´t like his play at all. He is still trying to justify that he singled out some first posts and called them scummy (me and Rag) while others were okay. For a while I changed my mind about him but then I went back. Then I changed my mind again. Don´t know.

Wich I'm working at changing, I hope people have noticed that lately! But I'm struggling with separating this thread from the Walking Dead (and I see I'm not the only one *pokes Des*) and so I've given the other one more of my attention to get the proper feel for one at a time.

 

I agree with you about Verb though. He keeps switching his reason for why he thinks Cloud is scummy (first it was "you are too serious for this early in the game" and then it was "for chastising AJ for being so serious early"). And he doesn't say much about anyone else.
