We have multiple players that have come out with the "appear as" revelation and it is my thought that perhaps all of us will appear different to a cop than we actually are. I, for example, would like to out myself as an "appear as" mafia and a "really are" town. What possible use could a truthsayer (or whatever CS called himself) and a cop have if not expected to work in conjunction? Let me know if there are reasons.

Well, I have both as town (appearance and alignment) so we know it can't be the case. So do you think that everyone but me has align/appear as different?

Depending on who Lily viewed and what her results are, I say our best bet is to lynch either Wombat, Tina, or a heretofore undecided third party. Why, you ask?

Csarmi, I'm not going to tell you what to do. If you call your shot, it will give me two choices on who to view. Personally, I'd like that. As for choices on who I'd like to view - Wombat, hands down. He can be an extremely valuable town player and dangerous as scum. But it's your decision to make.

Csarmi, I am not in the habit of checking profiles to find out when people were last active, hence the reason I made the comment about the OP not having an edit stamp on it. I believe the role you have claimed makes sense in a game like this, but your play style is about as anti town as they come. Because there has been no counter claim (and I believe there would have been by now), I will simply have to tolerate you.

 

My main suspects have not changed: Darthe for fierce defense of Verb D1. I still believe that the horsemen are obligated to derail a Verb lynch because of the OP. Krak because of the lurking, unhelpful, not-really-game-related posts until just recently, and the recent posts which show (to me) that he hasn't really been following along. All in all, he looks like scum just trying to skim his way through.

Purely judging by vote counts, my main suspects are Tina, Mish, Nyn, Salami.

 

 

Tina had a momentum vote on Nolder D1, early vote on Dice D2, and camped a vote on Mish D3.  The vote on Mish is inconsistent with the rest of her voting pattern imo.  Her D1 and D2 votes appear to be taking a stand, but her D3 vote is anything but.

 

Mish seems to voting early and camping.  That does not look like she is scumhunting.

 

Nyn had a camped vote on Salami D1, which is basically meaningless, a late vote on Dice D2, which is also pretty bereft of meaning imo, and a camped vote on Mish D3, which is also not very meaningful.  That's a pretty bad voting record.

 

Salami hammered Nolder D1, but that was after a weird switch onto Lenlo.  His D2 vote on RTE is bad.  D3, he didn't even vote.  That's also a pretty bad voting record.

Now Salami has his roleclaim, and Mish is Lovers with Despo and golded, so I don't think lynching either of them today is the best move.

 

That leaves Nyn and Tina.  Both have similarly scummy records imo, but Nyn has more relevant and pro-town posts imo.  Also, her late vote D2, although not very meaningful for analysis, was slightly pro-town imo as consolidation is important.  Tina appears to either be skimming or feigning confusion and hasn't said much of import.  Her D1 vote looks like a shameless bandwagon, and her other two votes look like camped votes.

Your reason for suspecting Darthe is crap imo.  Firstly, I don't remember him defending Verb that fiercely.  Secondly, Verbal made two statements regarding lynching him in the OP:

 

1.  Lynching him before the other mafia would have "dire consequences."

2.  The mafia would defend him.

 

 

Now, those two statements seem to have inconsistent implications to me.  Therefore, I think at least one of them is untrue and that Verbal was WIFOMing about his lynch.  Given that it is much easier for Verbal to predict the direct consequenses of his lynch than how the mafia will play, I find the second statement to be more suspect and therefore, I think basing any gameplay on it is asinine.

Given that we don't have coroner info, I'm more interested in behavior that is inconsistent than behavior that I see as undesirable. In a regular game, the latter can be analyzed via flips. Not so much in this game. The former, meanwhile, is almost always an indicator of bias regardless of flips.

Alright. So.

 

Not a fan of CS not calling out his target beforehand, but at least the target makes sense. Had anyone other than Mish been gold'd I would have been much more leery of CS's claim again.

 

Lily's viewing on the surface seems to make sense, but I don't really buy it. Yeah RTE was golded already, so you can trust your reading on him if you're a Cop if CS is telling the truth. But RTE was already practically confirmed town. His ability was vetted by the mod twice, as was his character, and while his early play was questionable, his usage of his role was extremely protown. So I don't buy that he was the obvious choice, when the MUCH more obvious pick was my Lover, Mish. There's still all kinds of wifom embedded in that situation, and Lily viewing her would have cleared that up. I think Lily figured she should say she viewed RTE so that if there's a Tracker, they wouldn't ask her why she visited someone who died in the night. Another reason that RTE would NOT have made an obvious pick is that he would have been a high priority target from the mafia team, so why view someone who will likely die?

 

RTE was more of a threat to the mafia team than the cop, but I still don't buy that they wouldn't have tried messing with Lily's view in some way. Would have been more believable to say that you were roleblocked or something.

I don't like the Krak train, seems like mafia pushing an easy lynch. Still think Mish is scum. She and CS advocated letting night run its course last night, and big surprise we lost the ability to hold the mafia NK in check for the rest of the game (which was stupid OP, but meh).

 

I'm also thinking that we may not even have a cop this game. This is a bastard game after all, and I could totally see Verbal not putting a cop in that way a scum could claim it without getting cc'ed, kinda like he did in the Kingdom of Hearts game (that I was completely right about and that everyone should have listened to me during). Either way, I don't like the way Lily went about revealing her earlier "viewings", and her "viewing" for last night seems too convenient to me.

 

CS and Lily, did yall reveal your character yet?

@Despo - I agree that RTE wasn't a very good choice for cop view, as he seemed to be confirmed town on one hand and an obvious NK target on the other hand. I don't think I'm ready to lynch Lily today, however.

 

I didn't reveal my character and I'm not planning to reveal it either. I can't see how that could help us.

Feel free to try and convince me. I can't see how it could hurt us either, but I just don't know enough of the game mechanics / setup to be sure either way.

 

Now as for RTE's role - it was nice to have it around, but really hard to use it well. MAybe we could have tried using it to prevent all night actions from happening and make a lot of lynches in a row (practically skipping nights), but it was always going to be very risky, just a momentary lapse from RTE and bam, night is screwed. I don't think that can be asked for anyone - to be 100% online.

 

I know I had a terrible time Sunday when I wasn't sure if RTE would call early (though I assumed he wouldn't) and kept clicking refresh just in case the night fell. Been doing way too much of that from 2pm to 10pm my time, then gave up.

Wombat has some very good points regarding Tina. She's gotten a little lost amongst the others for me, so I haven't really paid that much attention to her. But she's usually way more vocal when she's town. I gotta go back and see if I can figure out Csarmi's way of looking at a players posts, and take a look at her. I don't really remember much of her post content.

Wombat, I find it interesting that the reasons you have for voting Tina are the same reasons that people suspect Mish and Krak (not so much confusion on the part of Krak, but skimming and not posting anything with real content to it). Is there any reason you are giving Krak a pass on that?
