I dont trust nor do I want to encourage such a thing. So in response to it I will vote the person who does it. Besides its kinda hard to trust someone willing to lie to everyone just like that.

 

Same as what I just said to Nolder.  Do you read me as scum and why?  Or are you punishing behavior you don't agree with?

Just caught up real quick

I too smell a gambit. It's stupid to try and compare Verbal and Serra's reactions, for a multitude of reasons. 1) Serra could have seen Verb flip and knew there wasn't much he could do to prevent the lynch anyways since town would wagon on him no matter what 2) Verb and Serra are different people (from different sites) and will obviously react to situations differently

 

But most importantly something everyone seems to be ignoring 3) Verbal flipped VENGEFUL KILLER. Dude was trying to get lynched man, which is why he was acting all coy about it. Serra could be scum and not VK so wasn't trying the same move, or he could be and was acting flippant to try and get lynched, or he could have been town and being flippant.

 

Point is, nothing about his reaction differing from Peace's reaction should have been enough to placate Peace.

 

Another point is that it WAS antitown to fake a viewing after another viewing had just nailed scum, only to reveal the deception later and call everyone lemmings. What would you expect Peace?

 

I think Peace pulled this move as scum as an attempt to gain some town cred, which he basically did with Yates and Ishy, and possibly help derail Chuckle's lynch or make his teammate (Serra) look bad.

Speaking of which, Yates buying the move as a townie move CONSIDERING WHAT HE JUST PULLED, also pings a good bit. Kinda strange all this, cause if I'm remembering correctly I had faint town reads on both Yates and Serra this game. Seems I was wrong.

I have a feeling you just want a case so you can respond to it in nice simple responses instead of having to justify your overall scummy behavior. The gender thing doesn't seem to be there. I think I'm male in T1 (my name is Leith Mortensson), you saw my flip in T2 (Viggo Mortenson, hope I don't get scolded for posting that), and I'm Selena Morten in T3, a chick but also town.

Look at the timestamps. An hour and a half he gave for his "reaction test" and Serra was at L-1 when Peace unvoted. During that short window of time, Serra had posted twice. Once saying he wasn't scum, the next posting a gif of someone tapping their fingers flippantly. Not exactly a long time there. Had one more person voted before Peace unvoted, Serra would have been hammered. What if Serra hadn't been online to reaction test? What if he was speedlynched before Peace could reveal his deception? It was a reckless move that I don't think a townie would have pulled. A scum pulling a gambit however? Yeah I could see that.

Oh and btw he makes several "lemmings" comments, which is a myth btw. Lemmings aren't suicidally dumb by nature. This misconception was largely spread by a staged Disney nature "documentary" which made it seem like they were committing suicide when they were simply migrating.

Alright.  Caught up in this thread.  I think Peace ran a Town gambit.  She could have let it keep going but didn't.  It was pretty obvious when she first made the claim what she was doing.  But maybe it was obvious to me b/c I just caught up in the other thread.  I think Serra reaction tested well and is Townish.

 

Going to be L/A this weekend for birthday shens.  Expect activity in spurts if/when it happens.

Yeah she could've but then how would that have looked for her? Not willing to dismiss this just yet.

They shouldn't trust me but their posts lean heavily towards a policy vote and not an alignment vote.  I want them on record stating so that later when I flip Town it can be scene they are making an opportunistic vote instead of really thinking through the ramifications of the play I made.

 

 

Also, Desp...it's clear you read everything and reacted to the first thing that came to mind.  You came out guns blazing without thinking things through.  Read all the interactions again and consider a different perspective.  If you still think I'm scum...fine.

I don't like any of this one bit. Not one iota. If it was a town Gambit, it was stupid and generally ineffective. In fact Serra seemed kind of resolved to the lynch as a fair turn of events in my opinion. No last words, just Jayne.

Ok..you are on record here with a punishment vote for a playstyle you don't agree with.   Why include the "but?"  Explain how my behavior is scummy.  Don't just call it scummy.  Don't be opportunistic....unless you are scum.

@Peace: I find it slightly insulting that you think I was just summoning the first reaction possible to the stuff I posted. While I am a passionate player, I am not the most reactionary of one. I find you scummy now, I don't have to go write in my diary* and return to the thread and review stuff to think that.

Can't go before the emo movement, otherwise the reference isn't as funny. Blink 182 would be the earliest. Green Day possibly. I guess you could stretch it to some punk bands, or maybe even the cure.

 

Funny thing is, before emo the thing that satisfied all the emotional peeps with awful taste in music was the Nirvana scene lol. Some grunge was good (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam if they both qualify), some was pretty turrible (Nirvana, STP).

I explained how it was scummy before. This is a stupid move that I honestly dont think a player such as yourself, if you were town, would pull. You picked someone to almost die just to test for BS right after we had a whole other cop claim thing going in another thread AND after multiple other players have spoken about a recent game of theirs that was won by fake claiming cop. 

 

No I dont think Town peace would do a stupid stunt like this, but scum peace might just think it good enough to slip by, get some suspicion so he doesnt look squeaky clean and then start calling town players out for following a cop claim. Its a stupid move and I dont think your that stupid.
