And then Tyrion's 3rd party team wrote him a letter introducing themselves. And he Killed them.

 

Darthe was actually cracking up laughing in a SHOP when that happened. These are GREAT moments.

 

Or when ishy somehow didn't get Lynched and went on to win after claiming Anakin in a Game where even the title said he would turn.

 

We should be celebrating the good stuff and not always moaning about the little things that go wrong and annoy us.

Another great moment was when I got peace to cc my vig claim in darthe's basic game. Then I shot him. Of course the mafia still won that one in no small part because peace had.managed to link himself to a bunch of townies but not his teammates.

What tactics and such are considered poor form?

Within the rules? I would say overplaying the policy lynch angle. There are certain people that can develop... a reputation. That reputation makes them sort of undesirable in games. A lot of times I will see that person just be beaten down by the player base, have their mafia skills mocked, then get policy lynched on Day 1. That would be bad form but within the rules.

 

I also think it's ok to pick on someone if they screw up. Once or twice is funny. If you start harping on something [like a spelling mistake or misunderstanding from an ESL player for example] and hammering the person over and over? That's not cool and I would consider it poor form.

 

SOME PEOPLE WOULD CONSIDER CAPS LOCK POST HEROES TO BE JERKS RUINING THEIR FUN. I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON IF IT'S A WEIRD POST RESTRICTION OR IF IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE THEME OF THEIR CHARACTER. IF MY FORUM NAME IS "CAPSLOCK," I GUESS I SHOULD EXPECT SOMETHING LIKE THIS. AS LONG AS IT'S FUN IT DOESN'T REALLY BOTHER ME. BUT SOME PEOPLE CAN ABUSE THE CAPS LOCK AND IT *CAN* GET ANNOYING. I THINK ONCE A GOOD CHUNK OF THE PLAYER BASE IS ANNOYED YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER STOPPING. I WOULD JUST POLICY LYNCH SOMEONE POSTING LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME.

 

Really, I think it's ultimately a judgement call. If you are doing something that is ruining the enjoyment of the game and people ask you to stop? Knock it off.

This Is why I love to mod. Giving players the tools they need to be awesome so long as they use their wits is wonderful. Everything can be figured out.

Diabloical. At the time I could have strangled you Darthe. As it stands now, it's a good memory of a 'so close' moment.

 

I love every aspect of this game. The tantrums. The outrage. The pissiness. The cool logical cases. The walls of text that I skip every time...

 

It's pretty much all good. It's when people start taking it too seriously that you have issues. But the only issue I can see is people overcommiting to games, and that is another story.

Maybe it's the just fact that Ive been drinking, fut frikking GD Ape to hell for recently making me think he actually might be a decent human bring. Not sure at all why I'm saying that here.

 

Meh, guess I was wrong about the premise in the OP. Could be just me being butthurt about getting lynched, could be that I just wasn't giving enough credit to the emotional manipulation aspect of cheerleqading,. Whatever;. I'm here to have fun and lynch scum.
