Mish, Battlestar Galactica was made by Sci-Fi, not HBO, so they definitely didnt have nudity, though they tried, bless their hearts.[/quote

Oh I thought they were HBO, my bad

But my point still stands; there's several HBO series with little or absolutley none nudity in them.

okay, my review for the episode

Kings Landing - scene was awesome, loved the added in scene with Podric.

Tullys - i thought i recalled Rob being elsewhere and Cat being there while her dad was alive.  loved the Blackfish though

North of the Wall - progressing abotu on time, though i'm a bit confused about the Warg and Ghosts placement in these scenes.  the part with Sam and Gilly was good.

Danny - the added scenes helped to give backstory adn emotion to her plot; it was a good edition to her story line imo.  i literally cannot wait for the arc in this plot comming up  *giggles*  <3 Drogon

Theon - if HBO's sped up his plot i'm going to be severly pissed off.  i'm waiting, paitently to see how far they go with this, but thsi maybe the first of venturing far off from the books and may take over my hate on the Cersie additions

Jamie - fantastic as always.  i wonder why they shortened the fight and didn't show Berny freeing Jamies hands for the fight.  the scene was played out well though, looking forward to see ing his character deelopement from here and i think ending it with him losign the hand was a good "wtf" moment, so kudos to HBO for using that plot arc to their advantage.  though the music at the end kinda ruined the effect imo

@ Ishy - you're offically disowned

@ SD - my music was about 30 secs after Jamie lost his hand.  didn't really effect me, but the music didn't mesh witht he show at all imo and felt out of place and like a screw up.

@ Nol -

i thought it was Berny who fought the bear and escaped.  you know, the whole "the Goat tried to rape me so i bit off his ear" plot.

though i can't recall how Jamie gets away.

Mance IS a wildling... goats are probably right up his alley.

rotflmao

didn't know he played Aberforth.

I give them credit... even though the book readers would know about the hand, the abruptness STILL caught me off guard. Kudos.

once Jamie mentioned Saphires i knew it was comming and braced for it.  though it was abrupt and even though you knew it was comming you still jumped at it *nods*

very well played on HBO's part *nods*

I downloaded it and got the jarring music over the last minute or so... Annoying. Mis husband (who hasn't read the books) didn't catch that Jamies hand got cut off so

Red: Not every HBO show has nudity in every episode. Sopranos has basically only when they hang out in the strip club, I haven't seen Battlestar Galactica but I don't think there's alot of sex and nuditity there, they've made The Office, no nuditiy there as far as I've seen, and as far as I remember Band of Brothers is HBO and I don't think there's nudity there even once...

Loved the last episode. Want more already. NOW.

Soprano's i never watched but my parents did and there was nudity and sex scenes about every other episode.  my step dad calls the show "SaPorno's"

as Suki said, Battlestar is SciFy.  and "The Office" is TBS.

Band of Brothers was factually based, and made up for the nudity with lots of flying body parts and grotesque violence in every episode; something that WoT cannot give.

Yea, apparently the legit source, the music was afterwords, But no mine, they somehow screwed the pooch on the music. The last 70 or so seconds of the show, the music was pushed back approximately 70 or so seconds, so what should have been that jarring music, about the time the credits hit. I got literally 5 seconds before the blade came down, and I couldn't hear the last 3 lines of dialogue, kinda pissed me off to be honest. Had THAT been how it aired on HBO, that would have been a huge, glaring editing error.

Anyways, turns out it was some error in whoever recorded it..

Also,

Is this the first time they've aired non-period-ish music in the show?

Red:

I don't recall exactly why but Jaime was taken away from Harrenhall. I want to say Bolton made a deal with the Lanister's (RW related treachery?) and that he's being taken to King's Landing no longer as a prisoner but just as a returning Lanister. BUT, that may be incorrect. Regardless I know he is definitely being taken away but Brienne got left behind. Jaime goes back to get her and when he gets there she's in the pit with the bear. It may be that Brienne actually kills the bear, I don't remember. But Jaime jumps in the pit to save her either way.

Okay..

Heres a question for you.

Did that jarring music, cut in while they cut off jaimes hand?

Cause on  mine, it did.

And, This is definitely not intentional if that's what you guys saw to.

And.. I can prove  that (at least on the one I downloaded) in that, theres a bout 30-40 seconds with no audio, that normally = credits, than the HBO sign. (You can hear the hbo sound, about 30-40 seconds when the music stops..)

If this is what you all saw. Then yea, its definitely not intentional jarring, was either a bad edit, or someone in the HBO offices really screwed up.

That, or they are trying to catch whoevers uploading this online, by narrowing down the region its being uploaded from.

I'm in NZ, saw it on our version of the HBO channel. The music cued in as the it cut to black. It looked intentional, and dumb. It really killed the mood completely

The silence would of been better

i paid for nudity.

i demand it in every episode.

Do you know how much nudity costs? It's not cheap

They are just saving up for an orgy later on I recon

Incidentally. That stuff with the squire losing his virginity then the hookers giving him his money back. Was that a joke? Or did he actually do really well

I happened to be watching it with my parents so the naked scene was skipped

@ Nol - thats how i remember it *nods*  which is why i was a bit confused at your post.  i think that will be next season tbh

@ player - honestly, that part was added in by HBO.  i beleiev what probably happened was Podric turned down the hookers and brought the Imp back his money.  he's just that type of character iirc

wait ...

doesnt' Jamie go back for Berny after goign to Kings Landing?  which means this would take place after Tyrion has killed Tywin and Cersie has turned her back on Jamie for losing his hand lovers wise?

I must admit, what they are doing for Danys is making me like her a little bit better.  In the books, I just didnt like her, and that carried over into the show.

But, she is finally growing on me. I cant remember - could she understand the slave trader in the books?

I'm like 98% sure you have your timeline wrong. As I remember it he spends like a day riding towards KL and then rushes back.

Yes. She understands what they are saying in the show as well which was hinted at when she's walking away with her new slave.

Awesome episode! I knew what was coming, but I still jumped. Really good job, HBO! I liked the music, personally. And the graphics of the cut wrist were perfect.

Bit confused on Theon's timeline, I'm not a fan right now. I think if they speed it up it's going to get confusing fast.

I really hope they dont screw up the bastard of Bolton, that story line has such (evil) potential, Hopefully Ramsay is just messing with theon right now

and Im so glad that they didnt change Jamies hand being lopped off, I was expecting it but wasnt sure if they were gonna stick with it

i dont think there was any concern over HBO not sticking with Jamie's plot in that aspect.   with the Imo and his nose, thats different.  his Nose is supposed to be gone; too much CGI and makeup cost to do more than they have.  with Jamies hand though, its as simple as putting on a "glove" in terms of visual effects.

re-Danny - see i'm glad i'm not the only one that thought they recalled her understanding the slave trader.  i recall her quipping back in their tongue during the purchase agreement after one of his many insults.  HBO has done wonderful with her arc though, the additions (minus the Drogo arc in season 1) have been wonderful for her character building and likablility *nods*

not looking forward to the "love sick" danny crap though in future seasons and i hope that HBO doesn't make her look liek a sullen little child like the books did

re-Theon

iirc Ramsey played with Theon many times during his captivity in releasing him just to hunt him down. and there was an escape attempt or two by Asha.  but he should have been capruted and sent back to the dungeons last episode imo.

@ Nol: i very well could have my plot mixed up with Jamie.  in these middle books, i started reading character PoV's as a whole rather than reading the book in order.  Jamies PoV was one i thumbed through to read.
