what i mostly dislike about your reason for voting Tress Nol is that

 

A. you're giving Hallia a pass on inactivity.

 

B. you leave cloud entirely off your list. when he's had less posts and less response to content than Tress, Mish and Kronos.

i'm just confused as to why your singling out Tress over Cloud, Mish or Des in this case.

She has the least posts of anyone besides Des who by all rights should be replaced or Hallia who is new.

 

its not always quantity of posts with inactivity but also quality.

I mentioned that. Nothing anyone with posts below the mod has said was really "quality"

I don't blame them since it's still day 1 but if they can't make quality they need to post more

 

and aside from Des who hasn't posted at all, and Hallia who you're giving a pass two, Cloud should be next on your list given he's posts maybe twice with only 1 content related post, then Mish, then Kronos & Tress.

I'm not giving Hallia a pass exactly, I am giving her a pass for one day, this is basically her warning right here. I don't want her to feel overwhelmed and decide mafia isn't her thing just because there is a problem with activity lately.

 

And no you're wrong. Until she responded to me Tress was at the bottom of the list not counting Des and Hallia. At BEST you can consider them all equally bad if you want, I know I do. 2 posts, 3 posts, not much of a difference when you look at us who've been in the double digits for awhile now. Is there any special reason we SHOULDN'T start with Tress?

I don't know what to think about Darthe at the moment. My gut tells me that he is town, and that he's only getting voted on because of all the attacks on him by Red. I'm having a hard time getting a read on Red, I don't know how to deal with her overagressive playstyle. I have a town read on Nolder. I don't really like the vote from Kronos. It looks like he skipped the posts where Red explained her reasonings for a no lynch at the beginning of the game (perhaps to divert attention?), and parts of Darthe's posts where he stated that "Red has bitten" aka it was a trap (post #34), and that readings can change very quickly (post #45).

@ Nol - if your aiming to beef up post count by threat of votes, no reason we shouldnt start with Tress.  i disagree with this tactic.  imo people shouldn't post unless they have something to add, posting for the sake of posting is spam and distracting.  not that there isn't plenty to comment over.  as of now there are a handful of things worth comment.

@ Lia - the best way to get a feel for this game is to jump in and by playing games.  messing up is also part of the game, everyone has their good moment and bad ones.  best thing to do is go with what your gut tells you and dont be scared of making a mistake

What are you talking about? I didn't have some special "list" that I made up, I was looking at postcounts for the thread. Again, Songstress had the lowest postcount AT THE TIME not counting Des or Hallia. So I started there.

Yeah I know. I was talking more about your playstyle in general, because we also played together in the Bloodlust game. I guess that the best way to defend against your playstyle is to remain calm and use simple logic, and Darthe hasn't really been doing that. Reading back I noticed that Darthe tried to be more agressive in his defense against you and tried to wiggle his way out of things he has already said. I'm starting to think that Darthe is scum, but either way I think that his lynch will make the most sense for Day 1 because we will get the most info out of it. I'm also suspicious of Kronos for reasons already stated above. We need more posts to though, and until then I'm not for speedlynching anyone so I will keep my vote on Kronos for the time being.

Let me put it this way. As a player I haven't really been having much fun playing mafia on DM for awhile now. A lot of people haven't. This is NOT how mafia is supposed to be played. Games should not take month(s) to complete unless they are very complicated or there are a lot (20+) people in them. As both a player and as someone who has modded more than a few games I am not satisfied with the pace of this game. My solution is to policy lynch people who make games drag out of games until they pick up their game. If you don't have enough time to post more than once or twice a day then you probably shouldn't be signing up for a mafia game. You can tell when people are tactically being quiet and when they are neglecting the game most of the time and far too often these days it's the latter.

I understand where you're coming from Nol, but I think Tress falls under the first group most of the time. I've played a few games with her and she's never amongst those with high post counts. But she can contribute really well with what she's got (expect for Darthe's bloodlust where she was trying to get lynched on purpose :P ). Sometimes it pays not to post so much; I know I have a tendency to make more note of the posts of those that post more seldom, it's an unconsious thing and not very smart, but I can't help it :P

 

Man Cloud, I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone else pick up the game this fast! Proud of you, you're really my mentee But I still haven't decided on if it's town confidence or maifa confidence you've got here... :P

 

Re: Darthe & Red, am I the only one who feels like Darthe is a bit off? And by that I don't mean that he's scum nessesarily; I've seen him as town and scum, I've been scum with him. He just seems a bit unbalanced here as to what I'm used to. Not sure what to make of that. Red however, is spot on her meta :P I don't know where any of them belongs just yet. My gut is confused!

As for the participation conversation. Remember that the mod has placed a rule regarding how many posts you should have. As long as they are meeting that it should be fine. With that in mind, we still have not heard from Despo.

 

Mish are you saying he's not playing the way he normally does. I don't really know anyone's meta so I usually don't notice things like that.

Darth with his vote jumping, newb tactic then "lyncht he inactives after getting rid of Red" stinks. least we not forget that mass claim crap he tried to pull. about the lynching me, its not so much that its me he wants lynched, its that him and i are the most vocal people in this game. it feels like an attempt to take out the biggest threat to him and then coast by, especially when he words it the way he did.

 

then we have Nol, who as Darthe starts getting more votes and more pressure, well Nol comes in and redirects attention away from Darthe and onto a legit beef about inactivity. this pings as a two birds type of thing; a legit complaint that is on Nols meta as he's voiced this many times before and being used as a means to give Darthe cover. Darthe has for the most part stayed away from this discussion.

 

 

it reeks of team work tbh and i dont like it. seeing as everyone but one has started to actually play and the deadline is a little over a day away.

Kronos; I guess that's what I'm saying. I don't feel like I've played long enough to judge anyone based on meta and so I generally avoid using that word. But yeah, usually Darthe has this air of being very in control of himself and the game, and this game he seems a bit more unstable. Of course, knowing Darthe, he might be doing it for fun to mess with our heards regardless of alignement

 

Red, that is a very good point about Nol and Darthe; I didn't catch that.

ir he could be using a smaller game to try out a new playstyle to see if he likes it. which is why i'm judging him more on the content rather than meta.
