So here's the deal. I'm a gunsmith, the investigative type. This means that I can see whether someone has a gun ( or in this case fangs as well... flavor) or not. All mafia have guns, cop, etc. I'm not sure if Joat would, but I'm guessing yes especially if Vig. Leaves me abiguous as to whether a person is a power role like Cop or Mafia. The point is, Ishy's clean. He claimed Mason which would not have had a gun in flavor. This leads me to believe Mynd is clean as well. I checked someone else last night and they were clean as well, and since I'm poisoned I'm debating on saying who since it basically is confirming a non-cop town and I'd hate to narrow the power role field for mafia... then again... I've been poisoned.

And if you are accepting of his Flavour, then it's not really guns - it's teeth. That's why I thought it weird that you said all the Mafia had guns. Also, has he had it Mod Confirmed that ALL the mafia have guns/teeth or is that another assumption.

And Basel is still behaving like a total Mafia by not acknowledging any posts against him and instead going after someone that another has already said they have suspicions of. He feels like Mafia to me, regardless of whether he has guns or teeth or whatever.

 

Unless he starts actively playing like Town, and actually showing an independence of mind and proper casing etc, then I'm really not convinced by a 'no gun' result. Plus ... if there is a gunsmith role that can detect guns/teeth, then I bet there is a balancing gumshield role of somekind out there. It's probably why he thinks he can ignore all the normal evidence against him - he feels all invincible etc.

From yesterday:

 

Basel: doesn't mention mafia death, has some serious arguments about semantics at night. Complains that what else could he do but vote the leader at such a late stage - when he's had plenty of time previous to vote. Never answered me when I asked him who he thought a better option to Lynch apart from him was. Follows other people's arguments and votes.

 

Mish: still feels wrong, although was second vote on Len - so I'm a little unsure about her.

 

Erm Cloud did a good woot job when I pointed out the absence. But I dunno about him. I just feel like his posts are not careful enough for him to be mafia and talking on a QT. It really feels like he is typing whatever pops into his head. As he is still alive then I would like to know how many Mafia were on the Len Lynch - and then could someone else do the clever stuff and use that to compare to his previous info etc. That kind of stuff makes my head hurt.

 

Sadly I haven't gotten any results back. I probably got roleblocked. Wasn't really expecting to get anything last Night to be honest, but being alive is better than getting NKd I guess.

I have noticed that after BG's investigation on you that you have taken on a different pose, as seen in this post. The previous Day you were following Turin's case on me, dancing around the accusations of Mish who attacked you based on your meta and defending yourself quite heavily at Night. Didn't you yourself say and I quote: "..nothing is truly confirmed until someone flips. Even if BG saw Turin as innocent, that doesn't fully rule out the possibility that Turin is guilty." You shouldn't start feeling too comfortable now Basel.

I do have my reasonings, and I posted them in my previous post. You seemed to have overlooked them, maybe you did so on purpose to build some pressure on me?

I said 'probably' roleblocked because I assume that there are multiple ways to roleblock somebody. In other words I'm not sure if there is a Roleblocker out there or an other PR that does the same thing. Honestly, did you expect the Mafia to keep a Sensor alive and let him go on to his business? That's naive thinking and you know that as well as I do. They probably just blocked me instead of NKing me because they know that you guys already find me suspicous and would gladly lynch me. 

 

I'm not going to vote on Basel till there is more evidence. I never rush votes. In all honesty I'm not even sure if he is scum or not, but his behavior does indicate that he is. We won't know if BG is Town or not unless he dies, but I think that he is Town. If he flips Mafia then all the people that he has confirmed instantly become suspicious. Seems like a too high risk to take.

It's only a change of heart if I believed what I was saying, once BG had advised Basel had no gun lol. Otherwise it is just me seeing who would follow me on Basel despite evidence to the contrary.

 

Although I do still wish that Basel would put forward some original thoughts and contribute a little more. Sometimes I feel like I am reading the same post several times, and in fact it is just him agreeing with someone and saying almost exactly the same as them.

 

Your posts seem to have been crafted with a little more care today Cloud. Could it be that I had the right feelings about you both days, that you seemed Town yesterday, but today you seem Mafia. Also the loss of results is very suspect. Perhaps instead of Blocking you, they recruited you. Did you get bitten last night perhaps?

 

Also ... BG must be suffering dreadfully. When did he get scratched/injected with the poison exactly? With Despo getting killed before the poison ran its course, do we actually know how long it takes?

In other news, I got tired of calling bookshops nearby and getting a huh? response from them with regards to aMoL, so I succumbed to amazon. Amazon said I wouldn't get the book till Friday, so I booked the Monday off work - I don't really have free time at the weekend because of small people and stuff. So that was the bad and slightly ok news.

 

I've just got an email saying it's been shipped and I will get it tomorrow. Hurrah! Apart from I don't work Tuesdays (and that's where the book is being delivered) and I've already booked the time off for next week.

I'm feeling better and more like myself today than I was in the weekend. I know it doesn't tell you much and it aint the answer you are looking for but it's all I can say without going off-topic. I actually think that I look more Town now than yesterday. It would be a lot easier for me to make up results instead of telling the truth of me getting roleblocked, trust me on that one lol. If I were bitten I would only tell you if you ask me very kindly

See I already have my case on you so don't need to make another one over the joke. I find it interesting that Kae got killed last night. An unconfirmed lurker that missed two deadlines. Especially with a claimed flavor coo, doc, sensor and two masons out there. Very odd. Also based on the scene no one else got poisoned last night. I wonder if there was a way to protect against it or they tried it against someone that was immune.

 

So we have cloud nudging Basel after Basel nudged cloud. They have both played odd. But I have reason to believe Basel is in fact town. I am also more confident if BG. Although he could be giving innocent reads on known townies if he were mafia to look town and give additional cover to the masons. f that is the case then we are dead already.

Ithi: I'll admit I haven't played at my best this game. I will assure you that I am town. I'm going to vote Cloud for now, but if you lot decide to lynch me, and I'm around at the time, I'll add my own vote to myself (not seeing anything about self-votes in the rules). At least it will help vet BG's other results, which I think is a good thing.

1)  If Ishy, Mynd and BG are all mafia, the gods of Random.org hate us and town has been doomed from day one.

 

2) I'm really not liking the way Ithi has been trying to cast doubt on BG's results.  The role description pages are linked right in the first post, and very well explains how BG's role works, and neither list of role descriptions includes any role that counters the investigative gunsmith.  The balance to his role is that he will see a "gun" (or teeth, per flavor) on any player who either is mafia OR has a pro-town killing OR INVESTIGATIVE ROLE.   If there is a normal cop in this game, he will get a positive result on that player if investigated.  Per the Mafiascum role information, though, if there is a SK, he will not see a "gun" (or teeth) on them. 

 

Sure, Basel could be SK - perhaps with a day kill.  But that combined with how Dice was playing makes me not trust her a lick.   Vote Ithi.

 

3) I now have a copy of AMOL in my hot little hands and plan to read until my eyeballs fall out.   I'll check in again well before deadline.

I detected how many Mafia members there were on the lynch of the first Day, there were 2.  

 

The two trains of Day 1 were against Hoof and Mynd. Hoof of course got lynched that Day so that means that there were 2 Mafia members among the 10 players that voted on him. These are:
