Moiraine's return

When Moir is rescued at the end of ToM there was a scene where Mao or most probably Thom tells her about cleansing and it really excite her. I have been wondering why was she so excited and said something like that changes everything or some such thing, but point is what makes her so excited does that mean that she is privy to some information that we do not know and it fit s right into the piece of puzzle in her mind.

Cleansing was a very big deal. It practically changes the world in one day. There is reason for excitement. Also it's a proof Rand has done alright without Moiraine, which is another reason.

she probably saw that as one of the possible futures but as something that was most unlikely to happen, and that the cleansing makes winning the last battle more probable or something. She would have seen alot more of the possible futures after her "death" not just that leading up to it (and that mat and thom and one other will rescue her.

From the Finns she got the answers. Moraine will be there to save the day.

Moiraine didn't get the answers from the Finns. She would have to go through the doorway in Tear to get the answers. She got wishes. Any answers she got are from her trip through the rings in Rhuidean and from Min's viewings. But it's certainly very interesting what her requests to the Finns were. She was naked when she was rescued and had no items on her beside one angreal which was one of her requests. The other two are a complete mystery. It's been much debated but there is really not enough info to say.

She knows about Mat's memories. Maybe she asked for similar memories, like from the various Aes Sedai who went through the doorways.

I don't think she knows for sure about Mat's memories. She suspects something but it's unlikely she's figured it all out completely. But it does have to be something of that nature given the limitations on Finn's ability to grant wishes that RJ and BS mentioned.

Of course, whatever she suspects is usually true.

Maybe the finns told her that Rand cannot win the last battle and survive unless Saidin is cleansed.

 

Remember they showed her different possibilities about the lanfear situation, as well as what would happen if she seduced him. Could be she saw a lot more than she ever said. Not to mention we dont know everything she gained while with the foxes.

ah yes of course my mistake, but the same still holds true. She undoubtedly received far more knowledge than she told everyone else. So she might believe that some things she had previously thought impossible might not be impossible any longer.

Correct.

But she DOES suspect that Mat got more than questions answered. She knows he went to rudi and she knows his mischievous nature so she would infer he went through the doorway if he saw it not knowing it was different. Plus she saw his spear thingy correct?

She has been through so many different 'future' reading type devices that it is hard to know what she does know. She knows all of the phophecies and I suspect that is where her excitment comes from.

 

I too find myself wondering what 'gifts' she received.
