Not a bad list. The thing is with Tress, I've noticed some possibly strange behavior on her part (the overreaction to EP's joke stands out for one), but tbh, because of her meta she's not that difficult to figure out if she's mafia or not (sorry Tress ). Sans her GSOD, she's usually mafia, so it usually comes out in the end anyways. Alas, these are the trappings of having a very unique meta. Just ask Red.

 

I haven't used my GSoD in my last 5 games, Despo. It started out because I was in too many games at once, and also too busy with RL stuff (also having the corner where your computer is infested by bedbugs does not make one want to sit there for any length of time to do a spreadsheet, just sayin'), and then I decided what the heck, maybe I'll try playing like other people for once and not spending ALL OF MY DAMN FREE TIME putting that much work into playing a game. It was awkward at first, but I'm getting used to it.

I got a serious vibe from the statement EP, which is why I questioned it. So you're saying you were serious, but I shouldn't have thought you were serious, so me thinking you were serious and asking you about it makes me scummy?

 

I have reason to be cautious right now. I think someone has made a very bad miscalculation and revealed quite a bit more than they should. I wanted more discussion because I wanted to see what that individual would say in the game thread, which unfortunately hasn't been enough to go on. There is one other person who should have an idea of what I'm thinking, so if I'm killed, I hope you know who's behind it.

As I recall Tress, you've also gotten FOS'd for meta the last few games. But if you're trying to change your meta, so be it. Just know that kind of thing can get you some heat for a bit, peeps have poor memories. I look at it this way- meta is just a tool. It can't on it's own condemn someone, so even if you're off your meta, if you show your play to be pro-town I won't harass you.

 

As for the other thing, why are you being cryptic about it? Is there something restricting you from being able to go into detail about that?

Well, a lot has happened since I left. The people who voted for no lynch and are now trying to play it safe are pinging me because it reeks of opportunistic play. I would also like to note that they player that stuck out most to me is David because it seems that once he got FoS'd he started posting a great deal more. That seems new scum-ish to me. That said, at the moment I am greatly against the community chest because of the people who voted for it and no lynch so I will vote chance

In my experiences playing Monopoly, Community Chest tends to be the safer option, as there's less of a chance that you are likely to get penalized by drawing a card. The downside is, of course, the rewards aren't as high. Safe on Day 1 has its merits, but hey, why not go for broke? We already decided that we're going to draw a card, so might as well go big or go home. Vote: Chance.

Caught up. Not much to say on the previous day, except I take everything on thread as in game play unless proven otherwise. Therefore EP's frustration rings to me as in-game play for now and was odd. Though he gracefully recovered from it.

 

Really though, I'm okay with Day 1 having been a startoff to get us to a chance/community chest. I think it takes a lot of the Day 1 oddness out of the picture and hopefully will give us something to work with for better or worse.
