Why aren't all mafia games played in this subforum

Because people don't want to have to wait in the mod queue, and so jump it by modding elsewhere. This in turn steals players from games on this forum, making the mod queue even longer.

I'm pretty sure the WT banned them due to people only joining to play mafia and not participating in other group events though I could have heard wrong.

 

You could ask Alanna about haveing one in the Aiel not sure their policy in the SG. :P

Still, wherever you go and ask to be put on their Mafia Mod List, if it's your first game it's a good idea to get it checked out by a more experienced Mod for balance and stuff.

You know, this totally wasn't what I was going for with my post.

 

But, sure, SG leaders decide what happens in their groups. Bug them. As for setups: basically, you want a quarter mafia: three quarters town ratio. Distribute power roles equally, so that no side is unfairly advantaged. Try to think of how they will be used by the players before the game starts, so you can see if anything needs tweaking. Work out the shortest and longest possible games, for example.

I wasn't, I only know that they are banned at the WT I do not know which other groups banned them. So instead of being an idiot I just said what I knew and left it at that.

I disagree. I've seen plenty of mods who "had done this before" proceed to concoct the most lopsided, unbalanced game you could imagine.....which flamed out in horribly spectacular fashion.
