Well yeah, I get that, but I always see people in general chat saying "wts (insert legendary item)". What makes them special?!?!?! lol How long till that next patch comes out though? Is the newest one live yet? The one that makes the jewels cost less and take less of to upgrade and whatnot?

yea its out now.

It only goes up to flawless-square reduced cost to 'combine', after that its still 30k+ percombine.

blacksmithings taken a very well needed reduction across the board. No more of this 150k to craft 1 item thats got 300dps on it. :P

Do I understand the patch notes correctly? Limiting drops from breaking stuff and killing non elites/bosses unless you have that buff?

I played a little with my monk after the patch and it was easier.

Also I checked out the real money auction house yesterday... wow... people are selling items for like $300.

Maximum you can sell is for $250... Or its supposed to be.

If you have a stack of 5 NV, 'elite' pack mobs will drop a garunteed Rare. Without it, they'll still drop rares, just not as 'common'.

Nerfing drops from breaking stuff, had to do with people exploiting it. People would unlock act 3/4, and just run in, break some cannistesr, loot 20k jump out, go back in, repeat for a few hours and farm 20M.

They 'had' to nerf it.. If anything they Over-Nerfed it. (Blizzard's always been to heavy handed)

$300 was exaggerated but I know I saw some things going for $245.

Still having issues with inferno. I can't make enough money quick enough to get much in upgraded gear. I know I need more dps.

I am in nightmare with my DH and stacking gold find on my gear. I am making more money leveling there than I am with my 60 in inferno.

You have a 60 monk right?

(My main is a Monk as you know)

Whats your Highest resist at, Armor, and DPS at?

To have Inferno on farm, you want at least 600 to all resists, at least 6000 armor, and at least 10,000 dps as a Monk for Inferno to be relatively little risk.

one ratio is, you want your armor, 10x that of your Resists. (600-6000, 800-8000, ect otherwise, 1200 resists, 5000 armor... is far less effective.)

One of the best touted 'farm' areas, is act 3 Hell, Azmodan runs. Basically you run to Azmodans room, don't go through, leave, go back in, run backwards (to the entrance) stop, leave, go back in, and repeat indefinately for tons of gold....

But this also requires like, 30K dps to do it 'fast' enough.

I believe I am at 15000 dps. My resists are all at 480ish. I can not recall my armor stats off hand.

I check the AH every day for good deals on upgrades but can't find a thing I can afford. Any upgrade will cost 1MM but more likely 2MM.

Yea, eventually you will hit that wall.

800 resists are almost required to even touch act 2.

Specially the 10 armor to every 1 resists ratio.

The really good gear that allows y0ou to maintain those defensive stats & HighDPs are going to cost you 1-2m. you may 'have' to focus on defense and not dps. But like Is aid, its a difficult balance. Specially for affordable gear.

I got to Inferno on my 60 Barbarian and had enough of it. No new content for increased difficulty levels. The moderators on the forum admitted the game was designed where you had to either trade/buy items from other players via in game/auction house to get items you could actually use without grinding for a very long time. That kind of stuff ticks me off. Then they change the game. They nerf certain things, and then the item you bought for 8 million gold or however much real money you spent on the item is worthless to you.

Diablo III was not designed to be a game for fun and play, it was designed to make you spend money. Waste of time.

Not to sound Fanboyish. But Diablo 2.

No Auction House. no automated 'sell statin' where others could 'buy' your items. So... Either

A) You never see anything good

or

B) You see something good every now and again, and its probably something you can use.

Diablo 3? Intergrated Auction House.

Sweet! I got a legendary Wizard item of Awesome sauce! But.. I 'm a monk!

Wait. I know, I'll sell it for a legendary Monk Item of Awesome Punching!

Thats the basic logic of how Diablo 3 works. You can't just have 'everyone' getting awesome gear, all the time. Then there would be, virtually No Point in the auction house!

As for the Nerfs. yea, Ican understand people raging about that. But htis is also blizard we are talking about. They are Notorious for OVER NERFING. They claim they test... But they don't.They claim they 'listen' But htey don't. And part of that? Yea, most of that has to do with probably the worlds largest Troll Forum base ever...Seriously. I swear 3 out of 2 people are trolls on those forums!

Hopefully they'll see that they over-nerfed the attack speed buff.

Hopefully they'll realize just how much more it hurt melee than it hurt ranged. (And melee need tons of help in Inferno.)

They also need to actually... Patch the game.. Faster. they have the money, they should be able to pump out a patch, faster than freaking RIFT! (From trion!) But.. they take way to long, and either don't have enough QA people, or QA people that drool on themselves to much.

Finally, Everygame is meant to make you spend money. (initial Purchase.)

They maek you buy DLC, for new content.

They make you want to upgrade your 'account' for more money.

They have in-game stores where you can buy crap to pimp out your characters for micro/macro charges.

Its just, each game has it disguised idfferently. RMAH, is optional. And who says you have to 'put' money in it? I know people that literally sell Junk items on the RMAH for $1.25 a shot. They are slowly building up to the $100 mark, so they can in turn, buy something with said cash.

but.. At least they finally improved drops! I got 3 potentially upgrade items the other day.

Right now I am running act 1 inferno on my monk (which is generally easy) to get drops for my 54 DH. My DH has hit a wall where I am dying in Act 2 of Hell. I am having trouble living through elite attacks... especially the ones that wall and pull you towards them. Harder to kite! Of course all my gear is buffing gold find as well as other stats I need, so I am sure I am trading off Def for that.

I do find myself throwing my hands in the air and logging more often now though.

At lvl 60 on my DH I started leveling a monk because it costs me more in repairs than I can loot as gold playing act 2 on inferno. At this point I just play regular mode with my 4 year old, otherwise I have about had it with the game. Also, no legendaries or set pieces have dropped for me yet.

Yeah see, the drops are bullshit aren't they? I don't care, yeah the auction house is cool, it's whatever. But I've always played diablo, since the original on Playstation for the cool weapons etc I get for killing bosses. This game? You don't get shit for drops. I don't want to play a game where I just have to constantly farm gold and go to the auction house to find something decent for my character. What fun is that?

But, you' always had to farm crazy amounts of time in the game to get that cool shit, Even in Diablo 2. I had almost never seen any unique items in legit Playthroughs of Diablo 2, and most of those that I did find, I couldn't use. So for me, nothings really changed, aside from actually being able to get ahold of some good stuff on the auction..

If you don't know, you can set a maximum buyout price on the auction search this helps you filter out all the over-prices rubbish.

The only way to do it at 60 is get into a legit party and kill 5 sets of elite mobs and then go kill a boss etc. you get decent loot that way, but it may not be useful/any good. The problem is expect 50-100k in repair bills for that run. I literally get 1 shot by mobs in inferno. If I lag at all, which is constant on their shitty servers, I die so fast I don't even know what hit me. At 10k in repairs per death it hurts the pocket book.

My monk is coming along. I hit level 25 last night. I am hoping playing a toon that can get hit 3x before I die will help.

Act 2-3 is easeir on range than on melee.

Cheaper to.

Ranged = dont' get hit, peroid, not meant to 'tank' aything.

One 'easy' way of getting a 5 stack of nephs valor, is , like in act 1, butcher run.

Go to the 'cemetary' into the 3 tombs, (the random ones) kill all the easy elites in there. (10 mins tops)

Then go do the butcher run.

each elite you kill, will drop 1 rare gaurnteed.

act 2 inferno for monk?

You want at least 800 to all your resists. 8000 armor, 40% dodge 35Khp. and around 30k DPS

A DH/Wiz? THey just need 60K+ dps.

Is that your DPS sitting in town, or is that your max spike dps?

Anyways, some of thep eople who were getting that high up in inferno as, DH/Wizard, did so using basically exploits. Using Tryeal to block walls so they coudl go full out on the mobs, or just dieing and having tyreal kill everythign for them.
