We know that Rand is the Heavyweight Champ of all channelers?

What if the One Power was not a factor?

Who in your esteemed opinion is the best fighter the wheel has to offer?

Could Rand still hold the title based on his swordplay alone or would Lan cut him down like the dog that he is? Perrin, Mat, Agelmar Jagad, Bashere, an Aiel savage or even one of the Forsaken? Past or present who pound for pound is the deadliest beast in the WoT?

It was his buddy. His name escapes me. But he became overconfident and died. So now Lan is big man. However, I think Mat. He beat the piss outta Galad AND Gwayn I think he is without doubt the champ. Galad was really good and then you have Gwayn, two "warders" against one farmer? Now he has all them fighting memories so hes got it for sure.

Ryne was a better swordsman then Lan, though Lan won. But that was twenty years ago. That being said in KoD a warder was mentioned as being the best with the sword amongst warders, which would include Lan. Still my guess is that Lan or Mat is currently the best fighter in Randland. Selucia is very good as well, and Galad i think has the potential to be the best of all, though based on his fight in KoD he isn't there yet, for all that he won. Gawyn too is seemingly quite good.

I am telling you, Galad is reknouned as a swordsman but Valda nearly had him and would have if he had not recieved hints before hand. Mat beat Galad AND Gwayn easily when he was still recovering from DAGGER CRISIS 3rd Age. He is full power now and as I stated has many battle memories, so he is el numero uno. Lan is good but I cant help but see him as an ebbing flame. You may all be suprised when he dies to save his precious love. Heck maybe Galad could beat him with more training. Just see how fast Rand gained ability with the sword. He beat a blademaster, although that was not pure win for him. Lan is a bit too battered to take Mat. I want to see him use that bada$$ quarterstaff he is making.

Galad has the natural skill to be great if he matches it with extensive training, but he isn't the best... not yet anyway.

Birgitte is a good one, though in truth the speed with which Archers can shoot makes them relatively ineffective except as sharp shooters, or in armies with other archers.

Selucia is Tuon's maid, but she is also Tuon's bodyguard, and highly trained in fighting.

I think it would Lan or Galad. I'd like it to be Mat but he almost got killed cuz he didn't wanna kill a girl. In my opinion Perrin's useless and Rand can't kill a girl either. Though it would've been interesting to see what he would've done against Semirahgue if he managed to Seize Saidin in KOD.

I would say Gawyn good too but I still hate hime for killing Hammar and Coulin

I'd say lan. Not only is he a blademaster, he is also familiar with the Aiel stule of fighting.

And while youngsters like Galad and gawyn might have wicked skills, Lan has an experience they can only dream of.

And if Lan was to face Mat, I think that unlike G & G, Lan has probably met fighters with quarterstaffs before, and knows what to expect.

The only advantage Mat has on the battle field is his luck. And as long as the Final Battle hasn't happened yet, and he is still a ta'varen.. well quitesimply unkillable...

However I'd have to put my vote on lan.

I'll go with Perrin or Mat, we have never seen Perrin go up against anyone with known skill, but he has solod a few fades.

I don't think Lan would stand a chance against Mat and his ash'andri, he got the knowledge of how to use it with his memories, and so in all likely hood has far more experience with it that Lad does fighting with anything.

Um, Lan has been on a one man war and survived thus far.

Mat is at best on par with Lan.

Perrin on the other hand;

he is fast (he clobbered rhodin or whatever faile's captor's name was before he could even react, sure he was a little distracted by faile, but it was still only a moment).

he is strong (blacksmith)

he's got the wolf style (wolfbrother)

gaul complemented him on his dancing skills (from an aiel, that's pretty good and he was still inexperienced at that time).
