Rules:

1. Day 1 will have no deadline, unless the game starts to drag. Days thereafter will be 72 hours long, night will be 48 hours, or until all NA’s are received.

2. NO personal insults. Refer to #14

3. Don’t game the mod. She doesn’t like it.

4. Do not quote any portion of any conversation I have had with you. This includes QT’s, PM’s, IM’s, smoke signals, text messages, laser lights, and any other form of communication.

5. You may discuss the game with whoever you like, by PM or by QT. All that I ask is that I am either linked to the QT, or included in the PM. I like to see teh plotting

6. PM me with any questions. You may get a PAFO, but ask anyway.

7. No self-votes.

8. You may vote for no lynch.

9. No mass reveals

10. Penalties for rule breaking may range from a PR to a modtwap to a modkill.

11. Inactive players will be replaced without warning.

12. I don’t like inactivity. If the game is inactive, I may make things more interesting….

13. Votes/unvotes must be in bold and red.

15. No editing.

16. This is a hammer game. It takes half the votes plus one to lynch.

17. One “bah” post after you’re dead. NO game info may be contained in that post. Also, when you die, let me know if you want to be a replacement if I need one.

Count me in for my first DM game! I'm really new to mafia but I've followed the two most recent games here and read through a couple of completed ones... Also signed up at mafiascum.net and am in a newbie game there, but it's going abysmally slow and I no longer expect to learn anything from it at this point. In fact I'm expecting I'll get myself mislynched because I'm trying to get people to talk and they'll probably latch on to me as someone who stuck out.

that's why a mix of experienced players and newbie players is best for the newbies to learn

Allegedly this game has a few semi-experienced players in it, but they just haven't been talking. At all. It's been 6 days, and a total of 43 posts, including 10 from the mod, and the confirmations. I'm bored out of my skull, and actually at this point wish they would lynch me on day 1 as vanilla town so I could in good conscience leave the site and never go back.

 

At least I know you guys talk. *sigh*

Terribly. Although it's picked up today, and it feels like I'm getting chastised for irritating the more experienced players for complaining about the inactivity without offering anything of substance myself. So I took a cue from another thread I was following and read everyone else's posts in isolation and threw out my thoughts in summary. Now they're either going to think I was lying about it being my first game, or someone may actually say something useful.

 

Of course it isn't a hammer game, which I didn't notice at first, and they set the day 1 deadline at 3 weeks (still over 2 weeks to go at this point), so yeah. It's going to be a long one. I'd be happy to play here while all that nothing is going on.

Re-read the rules for the game it looks like it *is* supposed to be a hammer game. The language in the rule set confused me. Which is a relief, actually, it may go faster than it looked originally... and I'm glad things appear to be picking up.
