This weekend I will be finishing packing for Gulf Wars and then driving to Gulf Wars and setting up camp at Gulf Wars. I think we'll begin construction of the earth oven for camp this weekend too...

Ooh, an earth oven. Awesome! Our camp (whether I go or not, our group plans a full campaign camp) does full kitchen, but I don't think they've been ambitious enough to do a full earth oven. We need more seriously dedicated cooks obviously. What are you going to be making in this fabulous oven, Kynwric?

My weekend (now that the 27 scrolls I painted are on their way to war with Their Majesties, who are leaving this evening), involves a lot of catching up on house work, and taking my son to see the stage production of Peter Pan. :) He's never gotten to see a professional musical production before, so I'm excited! I think he'll really enjoy this one.

I want to go to camp with an earth oven!

Maybe we'll go see Oz.

Still having Migraines?

Yeah. Twice a week. I went to the Physical Therapist this week and he said he hunted and hunted for a muscular problem but didn't find anything. My neck is perfectly healthy with great range of motion and my shoulders and back are in great shape, too. He was really hoping to find something he could work on to help out, but came up empty. He set me up with another PT there to try a different approach next week, so we'll see how that works. *grumbles*

Yeah, Cindy is right. Go see a neuro.

At the movies waiting to see Oz.

I believe she has seen a Neurologist...

As for what's cooking in the oven, bread and pizza, I'm sure... possibly pretzels... hmmm... I'll have to ask.

And with that I'm off to war... see y'all next weekend sometime.

neurologist... imitrex, topomax?

check, check & check (actually the first one gave me the other 2), Imitrex knocks me out and is reserved for only the most severe migraines (I have little kids who wake up during the night and semi-comatose mom is not an option). Topomax made the dizziness worse and made me groggy all day and since I'm not only a mother, but a teacher with a full time job that I can't take naps during... yeah, that wasn't an option either. I've had an ENG, 2 MRI's, an EEG, and a sleep study in the last two years. I've been on an off of about 3 different pills that were supposed to help lesen the effects of the vertigo and dizziness (or the migraines, depending on the pill), but all they served to do was put me to sleep and make driving difficult. Everything on all of those tests comes out completely clean. Even the PT said he didn't find anything muscle-related that he could work on to help out. I have a healthy neck and good posture, so... yeah. The 2nd neurologist told me to try some magnesium supplements so I added those to my daily pill swallowing and I'm on Lexapro because it keeps me from being a 24/7 PMS risk. My primary care doctor gave me a prescription for flonase to see if sinus meds would help (it hasn't, but I haven't had a sinus infection since I started snorting that up my nose, so I'm keeping it up to date). The ENT that I was going to told me to try some Dymista (another nose spray) so see if that would help. It doesn't.

So, at the ripe old age of 35, I have two inhaled meds, 3 vitamins (multi-vitamin, magnesium supplement, and a fish oil supplement), and an anti-depressant that I take every day and I have a full prescription of Imitrex, just in case ibuprofen doesn't touch the headache.

fun stuff.

BTW, should you ever find yourself on Imitrex, make sure you wait 8 hours after you take iburpofen for it to wear off before you take the Imitrex. Felt like I was on the tea cups at DisneyWorld and it wouldn't stop spinning. Nearly tossed up cookies laying in bed flat on my back!

Oh, that's awful.  Right now I feel as if I'm some doctor's chemistry experiment.

That definitely doesn't sound like fun, Lor! The antibiotics they gave me for the sinus infection I had last month that wouldn't go away had the unfortunate side effect of muscle and joint pains (such as I have never felt! Why do I never get the 'normal' side effects?) It took weeks after the medication was done before I could bend my knees comfortably.

This weekend is going to be fun. We are gaming, and celebrating our GM's birthday (she's also one of my best friends) and St. Patrick's Day, all as one all-weekend on-going fun session! I have already picked up the makings for chocolate rum cake (rum is cooked in, so everyone can enjoy it  ) with buttercream icing, and corned beef, potatoes, onions. I still need to find cabbage. The cabbages at the store looked "questionable" in ways I would rather not describe.

Went to see "The Hobbit."

Got two new birds today from a friend of a friend.

So cute!

I had to stay home and in the house yesterday due to Tadpole running a fever and sneezing so much. Pour baby. Peanut and I bought a ton of plants on Friday to put out in our gardens, so I'm determined to do that today. It may be a few " tales from the midnight gardener," but it will happen!

In other news, my thumb is feeling better. It only hurts when it strain it, so I'm trying to take it easy. :)

Ryrin - The birds are gorgeous! Green-cheeked Conures, right?

This weekend has been going particularly well. The temperature was warm Friday and Saturday (great start to Spring Break), and I got the house reasonably clean before our Gaming weekend got started. That's been fun. Also took a nice walk around the lake yesterday. It's about 3 miles of walking/biking trail.

Today promises to be more gaming this afternoon, and full of delicious thematic food.

I don't take ibuprofen, it's not a good medicine for me.

my sister has had a lot of success with an acupuncturist. he has her on a weird...to us... but very healthy diet. seems to work better than anything.

my plans are to feed the cats, launder the laundry, go back to sleep.

I wish I was at your gaming weekend!  We are going to see Lincoln today.  Lots of chores too.  Groceries, dishes, laundry.  Yes they are Green-cheeked Conures!

Plants have been potted! I did it after the girls went to bed, of course, so just call me the midnight gardener (I think about about to start a blog and a story with this title... because it just sounds awesome). hehehehe

Awesome, Lor! I haven't even bought this year's plants yet. The weather keeps flipping. First it's 70 degrees, than it's 40 and hard frost on the ground with lows in the teens. I am hoping this week is the turning point, because we are on spring break and it would be nice to get my major gardening done.

Back from war... so very, very tired. Had a blast. Lor can tell you about the various injuries... it was cold for most of the week, but the fighting was superb.
