[LIGHT VS. SHADOW] The Ultimate Showdown: RP Battle

Locke

Recommended Posts

The Storm Leader Turin, was proving to be a more than worthy compatriate in this ultimate battle. He seemed to be able to see into the Lighties very soul to find their ultimate weakness - and once found, was merciless in using it to his own advantage. Her own ploy seemed also to have worked. After noting the Squirrel's previous fascination with nuts, the ter'angreal she chose to let fall was bound to attract her attention.

S'ithi saw the little furry become entranced by the shiny nuts. Sure enough the bait was taken. S'ithi smiled as she saw the blissfully happy squirrel scampering away ... now to spring the trap. She channelled pure spirit and activated the Silver Nutmeg. Only the bearer of the nut would be able to see, but she knew that a complex mask of mirrors had appeared and was now entwining itself within the squirrels mind - creating a change of season that should see her absent from this battle for some time.

It was winter. Time to hibernate.

Pleasant dreams oh bushy tailed one.

Turin's ears rang from the Oscar clanging into his helmet. Gotta thank those dwarves for their great skill. The lighties really are very violent.

Turin watched the battle frenzy take the young lightie, swinging that "Oscar" like a mace. Would she notice that it was a Ter'Angreal? She had better drop it soon... too late, the effect had taken hold. She began to turn a Golden Shade and stiffen into the form of a winner posing with the Award. Turin channeled once more and the award vanished. She would be back to normal in a few minutes. Avarice was a good sign. Hopefully this one would yet find her way to the shadow.

Congrats again Nyanna.

Totally nija'd by Ithi. Still works tho

Cooing over her shiny nut-stash, Meesh looks up in amazement as snow begins falling. Surely she hasn't been here THAT long. It IS rather about time for snow, but at least at the Black Tower, none has fallen yet, and the temperature is still quite pleasant. There is no way the seasons have completed their changing, for if that were so it would mean Meesh has missed the outcome of the fight.

Still, it's snowing, and Meesh loves snow, so before running off to check, she stands there with her mouth toward the sky to catch a few snowflakes. She waits....and waits...and waits.... And no cold, icy goodness lands on her tongue. Frowning, she looks at herself, and she is gathering quite a collection of snow on her fur. She brushes it off and notices it feels funny.... Putting her paw on a patch of snowy fur, she holds it there, allowing the warmth enough time to melt the snow. Pulling her paw away, she sees clumps of wet fur, but when she touches it...nothing. It's dry.

Eyes narrowing in suspicion, Meesh looks around, then closes her eyes and listens closely. She can hear a bird chirping nearby...some screams and shouts from the battle....and she can't feel any cold. Dropping the shiny nuts into an apparent snowdrift, she can't help but gasp as it disappears--and there they are, the shiny nuts glittering innocently on the ground, surrounded by a few fall leaves. The snow has stopped falling, and Meesh cackles as she realizes what happened.

"That S'ithi is a tricksy one, is she not? Ah well, it takes a little more than that to put this squirrel out of commission..." She darts off toward the sounds of battle and arrives just in time to see Turin channeling something that appeared to be a ter'angreal (based on Nyanna's golden state) out of existence.

That pulls her up short. How on earth is Turin, or anyone, for that matter, able to create a ter'angreal out of nothing but pure saidin, and then totally undo it? There is something not right here, and Meesh sets off to investigate, blowing up the earth around the Shadowites at random as she goes.

[again who is to say that only Saidin was used? do we "know" all the different ways to make ter'angreal? even if it may be bending the rules(rules? we don't need no stinkin' rules)is not also water bending and steelpushing and all that?nvm, on with the show]

Turin weaved shields to protect himself and his nearby companions from the explosions.

Explosions of earth again? these so-called lighties really were violent. We try to give them what they want to give them peace from the harsh trevails of this world and they throw our gifts away and try to blow us up. How rude.

Maybe something else to distract their violent tendencies, Ah just the thing. Turin weaved a gateway to a mirror galaxy far, far away. andout came charging little block-like people that looked vaguely familiar to most in the arena. Yes the LEGO Star Wars characters had arrived. Turin sat back in his own chair(not gonna touch Despo's couch) and watched the show.

Gotta love these guys. They blow stuff up and if they die they just respawn a few seconds later.

[i dunno about "again" who is to say, but maybe it wasn't--that's just what it looked like. Also, I think we're all following the rules of the respective powers we choose to use--at least I have been, so maybe it's just me. Yes, carry on.]

"Hmm, I'm not sure how mind-control qualifies as what we Lighties want, or false representations of the things we most desire. Although, thus far, none of you has come even remotely close to guessing what it is I most desire, and I doubt you ever shall. But no matter, you Shadowites can spin it to make us look like the bad guys all you want, that doesn't change the facts of who's actually more awesome."

Meesh dips two digits in some nearby mud and paints a straight line under each eye. War paint applied, she stares as the LEGO Star Wars folks show up, waltzing through a gateway--yes, some of them are actually waltzing, but hey, they're LEGO--they do weird stuff all the time.

Knowing they'll be difficult to destroy if they are main characters and not just random stormtroopers or even "boss" characters, Meesh watches keenly to see who shows up. After a moment, satisfied, she advances carefully toward the disoriented, blocky people.

"People of the Galaxy," she calls neutrally, "You have no doubt noticed you are now in the midst of yet another war zone. Let me outline briefly what your options are. I and my compatriots are fighting for the side of truth, justice, equality, good and Light. Our opponents are quite openly for world-domination, Shadow, evil, and all that nasty stuff like controlling minions and force-choking their inferiors. Those of you who will fight for the cause of good, please follow me to a special conference over there" she points "and the rest of you, we'll be back for you to fight us soon, so just sit tight, and maybe Turin over there" again she points "will give you a briefing."

Meesh walks over to an empty patch of ground on the edge of the proceedings and waits. Everyone she expected follows her, although she forcibly expels Palpatine from her gathering because he's devious and no doubt plots how to overthrow the Light from the inside.

"All right, folks, let me tell you who's a Lighty here." Meesh points out all the Lighties who have joined the fray thus far. "Everyone else is fair game, and if you see anyone new, they will declare for a side first, so you'll know if they're safe or not. Okay. Good? Go!"

Meesh rushes into battle, along with her new-found LEGO allies. She decides to go old-school and grabs a barrel of rotten fruits and vegetables on her way, pelting Shadowites with the exploding food.

Turin saw the little LEGO people dividing up into sides. He was confident that the charactrers on his side would be able to prevail. After all the Sith can do anything the Jedi can plus more. Also all the Bounty hunters were on the Shadows side. Turin merely held his shield to keep from being pelted by fruits and vegetables. As the two ranks of blocky people closed the bounty hunters let loose with their double detonators and Boba Fett added his rockets all set to detonate just prior to impact. Blocks flew everywhere, but no bits of squirrel. The carnage was wonderful and since it was all just blocks, no actual harm was done.

Unfortunately, After a long while with bunches of respawns on both sides nothing was resolved so Turin decided it was time to return the little warriors to their own place. He therefore wove a great wind to blow the little beings into a Gateway created to send them back to their world. The LEGO people are very light so they flew rapidly, none of the people were really effected. The little dirty faced squirrel tho tumbled a little before gaining a hold on a tree. Once the LEGO folk were gone, The field was once again left to the Factions to battle.

That was enjoyable if ultimately a waste of time. Well, I guess we should get back to it. Turin again weaved Air to form hundreds of mini tornadoes in the general direction of the Light-sided warriors...

S'ithi was completely mesmerised by the Lego Star Wars Battle. Really, it was so easy to make her smile sometimes.

IMG-20111010-00344-1.jpg

All to soon the battle was over and the brilliant blocky figures made their way back through the Gateway Turin had made. Time to pull herself together - it would never do for anyone to see she could be so easily distracted.

Turin had already recommenced the battle. S'ithi thought for a while and then created a complex weave that added a house to each of Turin's tornados. It didn't take long for the first un-named random Lightie (with dubious taste in footwear) casualty to appear ... But there would be more.

The Lighties would soon be wishing they could just click their heels and say 'there's no place like home' to escape

Locke felt a brief moment of exposure to moisture as he plummeted through the cloud barrier. Below, he could see the battle taking place between the Light and Shadow Factions, numerous weaves flying between small specks. Among these weaves, Locke notices, are many small concentrations of rotating air weaves. Tornadoes, huh, he thought, Typical of a Shadowite. To channel something so immense without thinking of the consequences. The concentration required to control so many weaves at once would essentially disable him from doing anything else. If he dropped his focus on the weaves, as Turin likely would, then they would just becomes objects of chaos, serving neither side and harming both.

Turning around to face the clouds, Locke channeled water, increasing the amount of moisture in the clouds. Battling without rain? Unthinkable! Soon the clouds began to release their contents, and water poured down on the battlefield. Smiling satisfactorily, Locke turned back to the ground again. Everything was much closer. With that rather large un-inverted weave, those on the earth had likely noticed him by now. This was, of course, perfectly acceptable. The Light was not about Stealth, but Style. So thinking, Locke channeled fire and air extending from his hands, weaving lightning that he shot back in a beam behind him. The force of the lightning caused him to shoot down towards the earth, as per Isaac Newton's third law of motion. Locke was going so fast now that everything around him was a mind-bending blur. Predictably, one of the Shadowites channeled a fireball to meet him midair. This time inverting his weaves, Locke channeled a gateway below him, which he flew into just before the fireball would have hit him. The exit point of the gateway, he wove right behind Turin, facing perpendicular to the ground. Thus, Locke shot out of the gateway sideways and his full momentum crashed into Turin's back, shoulder first. The force of the impact was so great, that Locke felt a crack from his own shoulder as it fractured. Gritting his teeth, Locke hoped that the damage to Turin was greater. With both of them flying through the air, Locke twisted in the air, planted his feet on Turin's back, and pushed off as hard as he could.

Locke landed on his back with a thud. Shakily, he pushed himself to his feet with his left arm. He wove a Gateway, and stumbled through into the Light ranks. "Don't suppose any of you know Healing?" he asked cheerfully.

Turin was still concentrating on keepoing the mini tornadoes moving the correct direction. The houses made it a little more difficult to keep them on track. Ithi's additoin did pay off when the houses startde to fall anobgst the light side. Her smile faded slightly when she noticed Locke coming from above. Clever use of lightning as a propellant, very Iron Man. someone else was throwing fire at him so that---- Wha? ugh!

Something slams hard into Turin's back, knocking him off his feet and the wind from his lungs. Flying sideways he feels a kick also in his back and tumbling into the ground rolling to a stop. Catching his breath, he feels like he has been put through a mangle but is not too badly injured. This elven armor is some of the best ever made. Thingol's people were skilled. Turin could tell that his shoulder was not right and other damage would need mending. He got up cautiously, and walked back to his chair and settled in to watch more of the battle. Maybe the newcomer Ithi would heal his wounds. She did smile brightly at seeing the LEGO people battle.

Since Turin had lost control of the mini tornadoes they were now moving about willy-nilly. Thankfully they were all amongst the light side. The houses were falling now...

Tina saw Locke flying through the air. You could say much about her opponent, and she often did, but he had style. The second after she saw him tumbling through the gateway - maybe not very gracefully. Turin looked like he had been hurt. Well, if you let a Lightie kick you in the back it should hurt. But right now she was in her nice mood. She grabbed her Turin doll and a needle. A little acupuncture might be good for him...

S'ithi had never considered that her Houses would add to the level of concentration required by Turin to keep his Tornados under control. Oh well ... The Lighties were getting squished and to be honest - a Storm Leader should be fully able to deal with a few unexpected additions really.

She saw Locke come flying through the air towards them, side stepping graciously - she allowed Turin to take the full force of the blow. Everyone for themselves after all. He did look slighty injured after the confrontation however, and was now acting all strange like something was stinging or sticking into him. She hoped that Lock had not damaged his Mind as that would be beyond her healing skills. To be able to Heal madness you have to be able to understand it - and she was perfectly sane.

She rose from her couch and approached Turin. Although some of the Rules seemed different here, she felt compelled to keep to the general niceties required.

You look unwell Storm Leader Turin, I would offer Healing if you would care to accept it.

There seemed to be a brief pause in the battle so this seemed like a good time to get everyone back up to full strength.

S'ithi smiled at Turin and wove a delving to establish the severity of his injuries first - she would never go in blind. His collar bone was cracked, along with a rib, but the rest was just bruising. Considering how hard Locke had bashed into him it was a miracle he was not more severely wounded.

She finished the delving and placed her hands on his head. An Asha'man would be a very useful thing indeed perhaps ... But not this one. She smiled to herself and wove all five of the elements in a complex Healing Weave which settled on Turin. It was well done, but left her a little tired, so a quick sojourn to the Couch was probably in order. There didn't seem to be anyone about from the opposition at the moment anyway.

Aww, using past tense, now, are we?

Meesh sighed in disappointment as Turin disappeared the LEGO warriors--the added numbers had been nice, but, in true Shadowite style, Turin hadn't wanted to see something he'd brought into the battle working against him, which didn't really surprise her. Oh well, it had been a fun experience while it lasted.

As the mini-tornadoes appeared and the houses atop them, Meesh wondered if maybe S'ithi wasn't Black Ajah....she certainly seemed to favor the Shadowites. Having a wildcard out there was distracting, so Meesh thought it best to simply categorize S'ithi as a Shadowite for the time being, as long as S'ithi helped Shadowites and no Lighties. No mix-ups, that way.

Suddenly there was a flash of lightning and a boom of thunder, and Meesh looked up and began cheering as she saw her Faction Leader shooting down out of the sky like a star. A Shadowite blasted a fireball at Locke, but before it struck Locke vanished and suddenly Turin was staggering and being knocked over, and Locke was picking himself up off the ground gingerly.

He wove another gateway and Meesh ran up to him as he joined the group of Lighties.

"Don't suppose any of you know Healing?" Locke asked, grinning impishly. He never stopped laughing, that one, even when he should. Meesh jumped onto his arm, noting his wince at the pressure, and scampered up to his shoulder.

Perched on his shoulder, Meesh looked at him sternly before twapping him once, then a few more times for good measure. "You should be careful not to break yourself, Eebs. I only have one button for fixing you, and it has limited uses on it. It would be a shame if you got broken and had to stay that way. Would kind of make moving around a little difficult."

She was light, but she felt bad as she noticed Locke gritting his teeth while she sat there on his injured shoulder, so she climbed onto his head and wove the Healing weaves she'd made up on the spot learned in her time here at the Black Tower. When it was done, she jumped back onto his shoulder and watched carefully for any signs of pain. As expected, he was completely Healed.

Satisfied, Meesh jumped from Locke's shoulder directly to the ground, circled him once, and kept a straight face as she saw the flipper growing out of his back. He didn't need to know about that particular side effect at the moment....

Facing Locke once more, Meesh saluted and then sent some of her peculiar Healing into his internet as he scowled at it. She added a sting in there for good measure, because the internet was a mean, tricksy, capricious thing, and deserved painful reminders of who was boss.

Turning back toward the Shadowites, Meesh noticed the tornadoes and houses falling toward the Light ranks, and she stopped and opened Skimming gateways in front of every tornado/house combo until they were all gone.

Knowing that her Faction Leader was there fighting with them gave her reason to grin widely, and she did so, then made a huge sling of Air and started bombarding the Shadowites with razor-sharp nail clippings from her belt pouch.

Totally declared for the Shadow lol - seeing as how most of them can't be bothered to turn up themselves

S'ithi saw the deadly clippings flying towards the Shadows encampment. Goodness me those Lighties obviously hadn't had a decent pedicure in ages if this was what one was apt to find on the end of their toes. S'ithi knew exactly how to deal with unsavoury hygiene habits though. She created a particularly skill weave of earth and air (mostly) and created an army of flying and snapping bathroom pedal bins. Their knife sharp teeth would make short work of the clipping, and they would even cleanup the resulting mess themselves.

Had an epic post all written out and everything. Click post, get redirected to thread, and admire my work. Not. You guys missed lots of sonic explosions and stuff, and then at the end I collapsed unconscious. >.> Hm, so maybe's it a good thing, since now I can continue the fight. :)

Locke begins to go on the offensive but accidentally channels the 6th element and travels back 344 years in time.

(Bummer Locke. It probly woulda been great. But the show must go on....)

Turin was still recoving from his healing. He was very hungry now. Fortunately the Shadow provides for it's people, especially Storm Leaders. A servant brought a large platter of food and a pitcher of wine. It would be enough to get thru the battle. Surveying the field, Turin saw the groty toenail clippings getting chewed up and swallowed by the trash bins. Then there was a lull...

Locke started drawing massive amounts of Saidin and an unusual weave formed. Turin prepared a shield but strangely the weave, and Locke dissappeared... Very odd. This one was tricky, a watch must be kept to prevent any more episodes like the last one.

Back to the fight, Turin began to weave with the True Power, and thin lines of black light spread over the field in a semi circle surounding the Shadow Faction. The lines settled into the ground, waiting for any Light-sider to cross them...

I bet it was epic...sounds to me like it's more your browser that ate your post, though. *kicks the browser a couple hundred times for good measure* But it's good that it ate your post, then, because if you had collapsed unconscious I might have had to punch you. Just saying.

Meesh pouted as she saw S'ithi's nifty trash bins appear and fly around, devouring her hard-earned nail clippings. At least they were rather neat about it, and very soon the battlefield was even cleaner than it had been before. Meesh thought she even saw a few sparkles here and there....

She noticed Locke getting ready to beat the Shadowites unconscious, but as she watched he suddenly winked out of existence with a small clap of thunder. Silence fell for a moment, and Meesh shook her head. There was no telling where he'd gotten to, but she had no doubt he'd be back soon. If not, he'd miss the battle, and that just wouldn't do.

Meesh saw Turin moving his hands around as if weaving something, but she couldn't see what it was...she frowned and blinked as barely-visible lines of black light appeared around the Shadowites and sunk into the ground. She wasn't sure what they were, but she was sure she didn't want to know.

Releasing saidin, Meesh shifted to waterbending and tested the ground around the Shadowites with a Lighty-shaped blob of water.

Turin sees the water decoy approach the trap. This water is so pure that it contained no life and therefore did not set off the warding. Turin just waited until it got closer and sent a weave of fire to flash the water to steam. Then a litle air to help it disapate. Finally Turin sent one huge flow of water towards the light-siders to try to cool them off...

Just couldn't stand this on my page 2.
