well I just forgot that part then

if you reread my posts you'll see I was always talking as though banishing and resurrecting was assumed but not a sure thing

Dangit Mawth, just agree with me! lol

I'm much more comfortable with a lynch on Nolder, though again I would have to look back to find something to back that up. I feel like he's been playing people against one another trying to get any but his scum teammates lynched... Perhaps guiding the players a bit too heavily. Again... maybe I'm wrong, I do need to back up my accusations.

Hmm... If pressed I'll go back and read all of your posts and quote every one that's pinged me thus far, but not at the moment because I am actually procrastinating my schoolwork that's all due by 11 or midnight tonight, and I need to get on it ASAP.

Off the top of my head, though, I have a distinct impression of you saying things that either looked fishy to me because you were acting as though we didn't know things that were actually confirmed or implied by the mod, or else looked like you were trying to discount certain possibilities in the game.

Like, I believe it was you who was saying there couldn't be a cult in this game. Why would you say that so confidently, when 1st off there is the whole resurrection piece in this game, and 2nd we just don't know everything about this game? And as it turns out, there IS a cult, so I wonder if you were trying to get people to discount the possibility of a cult so that you could fly under the radar.

A cult in a game like this?

just seems overpowered to me but I'll have to wait until it's over to judge it fairly

I was wrong and that's all there is to it

also I think we've played together before once or twice

you should know I do the exact opposite of flying under the radar

Just in the Mythical Beings game I believe, and I wasn't talking about you as an individual player but more about you as a cult team.

Like, if you can get people to agree cult isn't likely, then even if they think you're scum, they won't think about you (or anyone) being cult until you die and are coronered and come up cult, and hopefully by then you'll have given your team a head start.

That's the type of situation I was referring to.

Actually, just to throw it out there with no bias on the point, this is a quote from Nolder: (I don't know how to make it an official quotation)

Nolder

that doesn't make sense to me

as we lynch and people are killed by the mafia they will join the ghosts

and thus join the mason (aka town) team? huh?

I'm sure the ghosts are a mixture of alignments just like any other town

most will be townsided but there might be a couple mafia symps in there and possibly a third party

regardless I don't know how much help they'll be to any of us since we really can't trust any of them

Maybe he knows more than he's letting on?

Ah well, okay. Just saying that you did not rule out cult. Of course I just got to your post in my reread saying you don't think there's a cult. So umm... yea.

I am just gonna make zero accusations right now... until I finish this reread. Eh?

I agree with Mawth. She wasn't town and thus I don't trust anything from her. I think a vote on Kiv is a bit rushed. I want to do some digging before I pull either way.

Thank you. Not sure what her play was but I'm not cult, so it wasn't that.

Like you'd say anything else, Kivs.

Oh, and since I realized I haven't said anything further about it....

I'm feeling a lot better than I was last week. Not 100% yet and last week was really stressful at work so I couldn't rest much, but definitely on the mend. Mostly I just have a cough and a runny nose, a little extra tiredness, and some occasional nausea. I think I'll have the cough and runny nose until February, if it's anything like last year, but I can handle that.

So thanks to those of you who kept me in your thoughts. I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to make it through with my "sanity" intact.

Okay can I start by saying what a dummy I am?

Firstly I am retarded cuz I thought Min was anti-town after the reveal on her, when she is merely anti-cult. I must have missed the blatantly obvious word USURPER. Still, I am not confident in her adamant vote on Kivs, though I will say I am less distressed than I was previously.

Secondly, I dumbly assumed that a coroner was more of a cop role, that could check anyone... but now I believe (and for Light's sake correct me if I'm wrong) that they can only check the role of a ghost. Which stinks because once a ghost is resurrected their alignment is once again unknown. At least we can go off the opinions they gave as a ghost, SORT OF... but yea. And so my point about not wasting the Coroner's report on Min is a bit lame because I was thinking "WHY WOULDN'T THEY CHECK SOMEONE ALIVE THAT MIGHT BE MORE USEFUL INFO?"

SO yea. Duh.

AND finally... after a complete reread. I am dumbfounded to say that I actually retract my FoS feelings towards Nolder. Despite all the fuss, I actually find myself agreeing with a lot that he has had to say, or at least thinking that most of his posts make sense as a town player.

Furthermore, I actually agree with this post by Meesh more than anything:

...I am being pinged by Leyrann and Boopsy right now. I have to admit Leyrann pings a little more, but with less reason at the moment except gut reaction to his posts. Boopsy already has votes on him, and I don't get his reasoning for putting Kivam down, or his cheerleading at the idea of a vote doubler on Kivam, or his seeming certainty that Min had a role (that last isn't really solid, but it felt to me like maybe he's on a team with her? Just a vibe, nothing more)...

Thus, I FoS Leyrann and Boopsy. For the above stated reasons. I will continue to make a full investigation on them later, but I have spent far too much time with Mafia tonight!

Actually, Reyn, I'm glad you brought up my quoted post.... Boopsy has been very quiet lately, so I didn't think of him off the top of my head when I read Min's alignment, but now that you brought it up, I actually think the thing about him saying Min had a role that made her know Kiv was scum....makes him more likely to be cult with her.

And no, Min wasn't anti-cult. She was definitely anti-town, if I understand the role correctly. She was just anti-cult-LEADER. She still would have had to help the cult win in order to win.

I'm gonna unvote and vote Boopsy for now. He's been invisible, he needs to step up and say something.

This could also mean that Kivam is cult. He could have been trying to pull attention from Kivam, if he was cult leader. That would mean that Nol was also cult, but I still think Kivam is a better choice for a lynch.

She is anti-town. Very much so. The key point there is that she is both anti-cult AND anti-town.

GIYF. But yes, a coroners purpose is generally to examine the dead bodies and announce what alignment/position they were. Generally they can only do it on recently dead ones, but this one may be able to examine any ghost. It really depends on how Hoof made the role.

Edited for blueness.

oh

you know something just occurred to me

I guess it should have been obvious right away but I just didn't make the connection until now

Min was a Cult Usurper right?

she made it pretty clear who her target was

Kivam is obviously Cult and hopefully the Cult Leader

Vote: Kivam

i totally agree Vote: Kivam

I'm back. *sighs* I TOLD you guys I can't play on weekends. I'm here.

My thoughts? I thought the game only had 2 people who could resurrect and banish. Apparently not. Quite alot of necromancers/priests.

I'm not sure if banishing Min was a good thing or not, since she hasn't actually done any damage to the cult. But I now think that Kivam is part of the cult and must go. So... Vote Kivam.

Am I the only one who thinks this is really really weird? Please tell me I'm not.

Posted

Well, its good in that we now know of the existence of a cult. Its bad in that she would have been trying to attack and undermine the cult for us. What do you see in it that is overly weird?

Posted

Not a WIFOM. Boopsy saying Min hasn't damaged the cult is really weird if you think Kivam is cult leader. Makes me think Boopsy might know Kivam isn't cult, which in turn makes me think Boopsy might be cult. Of course, it could just be that Boopsy is illogical and Kivam is cult.
