Hybrid, do you not understand what I'm saying? If the mafia KNOW who the healer will be targeting, by watching his target they will find out who the healer is. I'm not saying I def think Ishy is scum still, but I'm still wary of him. But do you not get how his reveal as finder could be just a clever attempt to out the doctor?! And even if he isn't scum, the mafia can still watch him and find the doctor, so the best thing for us to do is to raise a WIFOM for mafia so they don't know for sure if the healer will protect Ishy or not, lowering the chances they'll watch him.

 

You saying that post stinks frankly makes you ping harder. I'm not trying to convince people one way or another, I'm helping to throw the trail off Ishy a little bit to possibly protect our healer. Explain to me how that stinks, please.

 

Oh and for anyone wondering if I can be pressured to reveal my role before being lynched, bad news is you wont get one from me. I'm pure vanilla townie this time. Just want to say that now since I am the leading vote getter and might be busy tonight. But I still don't quite understand the case against me, it just seems I'm being pressured because I've been active. I haven't waffled, I've stated the reason for every one of my moves, and at the risk of getting Lanth to post a novel discussing the merits of the term, I believe all of my moves so far have been pro-town.

Who knows what roles there are in this game other than Lily? We don't know that the mafia has a RB or a watcher and right now protecting the (potential) finder is the best course of action.

 

I covered this in my post responding to Hybrid, but just to run through it again real quick: I'm not saying "Healer shouldn't protect Ishy". I'm pointing out the potential danger with it and hoping to raise a WIFOM for mafia so they don't know for sure if they should watch Ishy or not. My move is being spoiled somewhat by people bringing this up so much. And we don't know there's a watcher, or RB'er, but we also don't know there's a lie detector, or anything like that. Point is, we can still theorize what potential roles there are out there and make better plays using that cautiousness.

Just callin it like I see it Barm. You look at the points I brought up and tell me Ishy's not pinging right now. I know you might think I am, but take a step back really quick and pretend you don't already have bias against me.

 

I think the cases between you and Ishy are equally strong. You have been the 3rd or later person on both the "joke vote" for me and the vote for Red, and did an OMGUS vote on Ishy (with apparently great success).

My case on Des was entirely based on the first two points that Barm made here. Pointing out that I found it to be scummy all of the sudden made me scum to all of you. I would also like everyone to take a look at my voting record Day 1. I made one joke vote on Key. And made no attempts to get anyone to join me. I made the first vote on Des. And during all my explaining of why I voted him, again asked noone to join me. I formed no wagons nor did I join in on any wagons. For most of the game I was the only single vote on whoever I was voting for at that time. So you can disagree with me all you want, that's fine, Mafia is all about discussion. But because I have a point of view some of you disagree with, that's scummy in your eyes? Really? I would think that my voting record and lack of trying to persuade absolutely anyone to join me in my vote should count for at least something. And if you doubt my claim, lynch me and see. I am finder and I will help town win. But to make it to 8 (or was it 9) votes on Day 1 with my voting record is ludicrous to me.

I need a refresher if anyone is on. As far as I know, isn't a RB a scum role? And before you go ballistic on me, remember that this is my 6th or 7th game ever. I was just wondering if a RB could also be town-aligned. Since I don't know one way or the other I will Unvote Des, and may be revoting Hybrid depending on what you guys can tell me.

So I just wiki'd it and this is what they had to say about the RB: "Roleblocker is probably the most common Mafia power role." And I saw nothing on there that suggests a RB could be town. But again, I haven't been in enough games to know, so I hope someone lets me know soon or I will be revoting Hybrid, not only to avoid the lynch going random, but also for his attempt to throw me (us) off.

Roleblocker is almost always mafia, but that would make it a poor choice to choose for a reveal if he is scum. Could just be a WIFOM, but it still seems odd that he'd reveal as that, unless he's worried there's a role cop or lie detector. Guess I'll keep my vote there for now, I'll check by throughout the night if anyone else has a better idea

A roleblocker who was town aligned would say they were town aligned. RB is a scum role far more often than it is a town role - hybrid knows that i am sure. Anyone who was town and claiming RB would be sure to differentiate. The way he has revealed was the same way i did in a previous game with an ambiguous role - i was scum and just stated my role and let the chips fall where they may.

 

Nolder you just shot way up my list, if Hybrid does flip scum i'll be looking at you.
