I can't believe I'm seeing people advocate a random lynch! That's scary. I don't even know what to say to that. A random lynch is never a good idea. They almost always hit town (I've seen them hit mafia one time in the two years I've been playing) and could hit a power role. You know, roles we NEED to win the game? *shakes head*

Actually I saw one in my last game :p

Right BG?!

The odds are still very much against it. Random lynches are a really bad idea, and they make the mod feel bad like nobody wants to actually play their game.

I have actually been lynched for suggesting a no lynch choice in games. Random lynches are not the way to play mafia. You can loose a valuable power role just as easily as catching scum. It is a horrible idea. If you think random lynches are okay then you are really not dedicated to all the nuances that playing mafia has to offer. It is a game of bluffing and using your wit. It is strategy and putting pressure on people. I would rather go after an inactive player then EVER advocate for a random lynch.

Depends on the situation imo and how late in the game it is. Can't play mafia without taking some risks though.

That is the whole point of the game. Taking risks. A random lynch is not a risk, it is just plain stupid and only helps the mafia if you not only get a town member, but also someone with a power role. I just isn't a risk worth taking. It is just poor strategy and lame.

Precisely, ishy could have been bluffing. Vambram did that once- he had been hammered and he was ole, "fools, u lynched a vanilla townie!" and then he flipped mafia lol.

Once again, the doors were locked. Everyone feared the worst returning. Out of their merry little party of 16, 3 were already dead, and they did not know the killer of the first. Something was terribly terribly wrong, and answers could not be found. However, some ventured to leave their bedchambers that night. Some crawled into someone else's bed, while others all together spied and sneaked around. When the morning came, no one had a truly good night's rest, but they all arose to see what the new day would bring. They all arose... except for one.

The Lady of the North looked around for her husband in the great room. They had slept apart that evening, as the Lord was a loud snorer and she knew that she had needed some sleep. She, along with some of the other Ladies of the Court, went in search of him, to find that he had been slashed from chin down to navel with a sword. The screams could be heard throughout the castle as everyone came to look.

Graendals Favorite, Lord of the North, Innocent Vanilla Roleless Townie, is dead.

It is now Day 3. The Deadline is 11pm EST on Monday August 15th.

With 12 Alive, it takes 7 to Lynch.

See where that line of thinking gets you GF. Now I wonder why the mafia killed you off. I would think they would prefer someone talking about random lynches as it only really benefits them. The odds being in their favor that is.

amegkure what exactly is your reasoning? I don't like it when someone makes that statement without explaining. Unless I missed the explanation earlier.

Yeah well my opinions different lol. I said before I think it depends on the situation.

How is it not a risk..now don't gget me wrong here. You guys are the vets but if you go random you risk losing good valuable players. With a 25% chance hitting scum... anyway im done with the random lynch talk. Im focusing my attention on kivam. And will try to present a case sometime today.

Amega, you have just gotten scummier in my eyes. Taking out one half of a public fight and it throws suspicion on the other half. Basic scum tactic, oldest trick in the book.

either you have fallen for it, or you are scum and spreading the blame that your team has set up.

And yet an hour before the deadline I was there. Which I said before and you apparently chose to ignore..

my FoS isn't over the fact that you were there, it's over the fact that you were there and DIDN'T VOTE!! even after stating that you would to get a controlled vote. and because your purposefully ignoring half my arguement and your the scummiest person i have in my sights right now

VOTE: TIINKER

but getting a l-1 where you decide it's certain the player lynched is town, why exactly is it good to lynch them? A random lynch is scary, yes, but I can't see lynching a practically confirmed innocent better.

i know she's dead, but this is just to clarify my point. ishy wasn't confirmed imo, cofrimed means the Mod said he was innocent or the finder outs themselve and says he viewed as innocnet.

that said, if a player is being lynched and they claim townie, unless its a power role theres still more benefit to lynching them because of the info you get surrounding their votes and how people acted on the vote.

it sucks to lose an innocent, but that info is often what helps us catch scum later on in the game and is very usefull. so Ishy didn't die in vein because of the fact his death is giving us so much info.

^^ this. the NK is more WIFOM than anything. scum use it to try and clear a mate, and they use it to implicate townies. basing a lynch on someone off the NK will only make it easier for the scum to direct your votes and thoughts.

I don't get you. Why would I vote when he was hammered? And if I'm going to be on before the deadline and I said I'd vote him if really necessary why would I vote before I had to.

Actually I'm quite looking forward to a lynch on myself just so to prove I'm innocent and how odd your arguments are.

FOS me all day for questioning a quick reveal - a lot of people did it.

FOS me for "laying ground work" - it seems you do that from questioning.. a lot of people did that too

FOS me for not voting someone who was already hammered - GF actually flat out said he wouldn't vote Ish. Should I have done the same?

Okay I can understand the first two maybe but the third.. What? It's like you really want me to get lynched and are just throwing in random ideas now.

Tiinker you could have said you didn't feel right about a Ishy vote and vote for someone else with votes on them. The deal is I see in more and more games the lynch coming down to the last hours. If we the town are doing our job and being active players then that shouldn't happen. We should decide on a scum to vote for a do it.

Also, scum lies. We can't tell if someone is professing they are town to save their scummy hide or not. The only time I listen is when they claim a power role. I will back off and give them the benefit of the doubt until their is no counter claim or they seem legit. Now mind you scum can fake claim, it is a favorite of Jack's whether he is town or scum for some reason.

I want to wait for ameg case and Kivam's reaction.

Well I wouldn't have done that. I said I would vote Ishy if there was need to. But there was no reason for me to vote him when I came back because he had already been hammered..

What I've noticed:

Voting against Genevive:

Lily, Jack, Ishy, Hoof, Sakaea, GF, Min, Aemon

Voting against Ishy:

Ishy, Aemon, Red, Min, Sakaea, Jack, Hoof, Kivam.

On both lynches:

Aemon, Min, Hoof, Sakaea, Jack

These are the people I would look closest at.

Sakaea I'm temporarily suspending any thought of guilt because of my night one protection.

I'm not Voting Yet: I still must decide who I will vote for. But for now, I have my list.

I'm still most intrigued by the interplay between min, krak and jack. Min seems to be the nexus of the three and her coroner report would probably give us the most information. Combine that with the fact that I've been generally suspicious of some of her play since .day 1, and thats where my vote will go when I get to a computer.

I'm waiting for Ameg to clarify this a bit more. While I am growing suspicious of Kivam, comment made me hold off on what I was going to say unfortunately ameg has yet to say straight out why GF getting NKed would make Kiv a scum for sure

g

so with that im pretty positive kivams scum vote kivam
