A few things before I do a more detailed read to catch up...

 

I've been really sick the past week, like, really sick "I can't get out of my bed, can't talk, made a B on a midterm exam" sick. Now that it's spring break and I'm getting better though, I'm putting forth a lot of effort to catch up with everything on DM. I'm sorry about that. . .

 

I agree with the Ahmoon lynch, from all points that have been stated. I won't go back and quote what others have quoted, but I'm definitely in favor of a majority despite not trusting Mynd one bit right now. I feel like he's digging for a lot of information, which is really putting me off, despite Aemon's clearing. But that's that.

...LET THE LORD OF CHAOS RULE!.... or something like that. Since there are only two false dragons claiming, then it makes sense that Aemon would be Logain and Vambram-thank-ya-ma'am is Mazrim Taim. Were there any other false dragons besides those two that could be in play?

 

That's what I'm wondering - is the face that there are two false dragons right now a coincidence that I'm trying too hard to match with the books, or was it designed this way by Womby?

 

Bgrishinko reminded the town that while there are probably a few folks who were given Dragon Reborn in their Role PM's, Wombat also made it clear ANYONE can claim to be Dragon at anytime. Vambram's claim does not necessarily make him Taim, Aemon's claim doesn't necessarily make him Logain, although the finder role with a Day 4 restriction implies that is true. Vambram has made no such claims as a day 4 restriction, but the town implied it for him. Vam has also made no references as to why his claim is beneficial to the town, what skills does he have? BG thought he may just be an ordinary Scum trying to scam the town, but was still unsure.

 

If Ahmoon were able to make some meaningful observations and share her opinions to be helpful to the town, BG would be willing to move his vote to Vamb.

Amandine's Posting Record:

 

Day One: 9 posts over 25 pages, swoops into the David lynch at the last minute after spending much of the first day voting Red. Three posts Night 1, one crowing about how the town is awesome for getting scum on the first lynch.

 

Day Two: 3 posts, one to say that she's tired and will be scarce, one to say that she isn't sure what to do, and one to say things that everybody else has said. No vote. One post night

 

Day Three: 4 posts, second post another excuse for the quietness, swoops into the Blackhoof lynch at the last minute. Two posts at night, one to again crow about getting scum.

 

Day Four: 1 post to both talk about busy schedule and to swoop in on the Moon lynch.

 

In all honesty, this posting style screams to me of lurking scum. Nyn's style of coming in on occasion to get out a vote says the same thing, but the frequency with which it occurs with Amandine says to me that she is either scum, or has the most evil boss in the history of ever. (Yes, that bad grammar is intentional.) All this being said, I am going to vote Amandine. My confidence in the Moon vote isn't strong enough to warrant me going with the vote right now.

Quibby, that does make a lot of sense but 1) one could say pretty much the same thing about Moon as well and 2)we are gonna need 16 to clinch a lynch. Aemon could always view Amadine tonight and let us know how she looked in the morning, or the other way around (Moon if we lynch Amadine). Note that there could be more than one mafia scumbag whose name begins with the letter A.

 

I think we should stay the course on Moon for now, but I'd like to hear from Amadine and see how she votes this time.

Yeah, agreeing with Quibby is like making a pact with the Dark One himself. Still, he seems to be doing what some people are not doing, and that's casing who he votes for. Everyone was so quick to jump on the Vambramwagon without doing any gum-shoe work on their own.

 

BTW, I sympathize with how busy one can be. I too am in Grad School as well as the dubious role of a Science Professor's Graduate Assistant, more like Igor it seems. Anyways, being too busy to read is no reason to toss your votes aimlessly. Sure, this is a large game, but it doesn't take much time to skim through what has been said in order to come up with your own conclusions. Most of us will be glad to paraphrase RED's posts if asked.

 

Not to be rude, but it does become a bit insulting to others who are really trying to win the game when we hear "oh, im just too busy" or "ive been sick...achooo.....so im not posting much" because I think we all are busy and have been sick, but we play the game we signed up for. Just sayin.

 

Now then, when Vambram returns, I would like to hear more from him in regards to his alleged False Dragon claim. What benefit was it to him to make such a claim? Did he get some kind of ability or power? Or was it a ploy to get himself lynched?

I need to post here that I will be taking a Leave of Absence from dragonmount.com and also the internet starting Tuesday afternoon, Missouri time. My wife and I are going to Columbia, Missouri for an appointment I have at the VA Hospital there. I will not be back home until in the evening on Wednesday.

 

Here, Vambram posted after day began and his reasons for since then being absent. We should expect to hear from him tonight I would reckon. Anyone saying that he hasn't been active must not be reading this thread or doing any real casing of him as a suspect, or they would have found what was so easy for me to find just now.

 

Still, I would like to know what he expected would happen if he declared being the Dragon Reborn AND if anything did happen. If Rand is going to declare himself in the same way, I am curious to discover what will happen with Aemon (who we are sure is Logain) and Vambram (who is likely Taim).

 

 

Myndrunner, I thank you for quoting my last post on Monday evening, real life time. In all sincerity, I am appreciative for your post there, which you reminded everyone as to why I would be absent online for at least a day and a half.

 

As for what I expected would happen after I declared that I am the Dragon Reborn? Well, honestly, I was not sure what would happen. Remember, the WOT setting for this mafia game is at the end of Book 6. (Is that correct, my friends and fellow members of Dragonmount?)

Therefore, whenever anyone in the WOT books declared himself to be the Dragon Reborn, that always caused chaos as well as immediate suspicion by many people, as well as almost immediate hunting against the claimants by the Red Ajah and perhaps other aes sedai, also. As of Book 6, whom are the only characters who willingly believed in Rand al`Thor and knew beyond any iota of a doubt that he is the Dragon Reborn? Therefore, I expected some chaos to ensue and for suspicions as well as lynch votes to be casted against myself. On a positive note, after my declaration, Wombat told me what my power is, and also what my item is.

 

I shall not reveal what my power is, or what my item is unless I am given permission to do so my Wombat. However, both of them are useful and of no small consequence for either the mafia, the town, or any other parties in this game.

Finally, I want to ask the experienced players of Mafia a question.

Do all players in the game HAVE to be either Mafia or Town?

From what Bgrishinko understands there are some special roles that are not town or mafia (i.e. Fain). But Bg is a mafia rookie, so his opinions only go so far.

 

Bgrishinko also wanted to know how Vambram expects to convince us he is not a False Dragon. Vam didn't need to admit his powers right away, but at least Aemon spoke of restrictions of his claim. Bg wondered if Vambram also had such restrictions? Also Vam's reveal that he had a special item was just asking for thieves to come out of the woodwork... did Vam have a way to prevent from being robbed?

For now, I'm going to vote for Ahmoondah. I can understand being busy, but then please ask to be replaced. It's better to have someone that can possibly put full attention on than someone who can only occasionally put half attention on the game.

Usually a survivor is of no alignment... they just have to survive til the end of the game to win. Along with whichever team wins. There are some other situations too.. like having to get a certain task done by a certain time or whatever.

I think everyone has a name. Even the mod killed players were named and they were vanilla.
