I am kind of surprised that in all the different threads discussing the glossary reveal I've seen, no one has pointed out that this seems like a pretty good place to put something about it if it were Slayer what done killed Asmo. As so....

Slayer: Assassin of the Dark One, known to have killed such high priority targets as two Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, and one of the Forsaken himself.

Perhaps I am wrong, but it's been quite a while that I've considered Graendal and Slayer the only two credible suspects left. Everyone else is ruled out or makes no sense. Gren seems the suspect to have the least going against her, but Slayer has always interested me in that Jordan seemed to tease him an awful lot, and we still know so little about him that all of his detriments as a suspect could easily be stripped away in a book where we learn more about him....like maybe ToM....

Gren has some pretty strong evidence for her....but nothing comes directly to mind how exactly a glossary entry could link her to Asmo's murder. If Asmo's murder was a part of a bigger plot, perhaps it would be connected to something else and in some connected glossary entry, but it's not. Hell, Jordan wasn't even going to reveal the murderer until we squealed about it for 10 years. Seems like the entry has to be something to do directly with the murderer....and like I said, seems to fit pretty well into an entry about Slayer

Edit: Oh, and a question!

So Terez, which was your favorite Forsaken reveal in the book, Demendred or Mesaana?

hey terez great review i am now even more excited to read ToM.

was wondering if you can say if we see the dream ter'angreal again? the one that sheriam took

Didn't Sheriam take all but one and give them to Messena?

Didn't Leane have one when she was kidnapped, so that's why Sheriam couldn't get it?

Then again, didn't Egwene say all of them were taken?

Why did Sheriam lose her finger, if all of them were taken?

she lost her finger because i think one was with siuan and she didnt know.

that was a copy.

i wanted to see if we would know what mesaana did with them

As for the person being turned, who are the main canidates:

Taim - seems too obvious

A Forsaken - meh

Slayer - is it possible to turn someone that's not a channeler? Maybe a dreamer is susceptible.

any guesses before the book comes out?

I think 13 Black Ajah and 13 Myrddraal horses will turn Bela. Shaidar Haran needs a horse, and the shards of the Black Ajah are too useless for anything else.

What do you think? ;)

No, it is not possible to turn a non-channeler....at least, not by the 13x13 method. Sheriam made it seem like it was something non-channelers didn't have to worry about, but it's not as if she knew everything or had no reason to lie. There might be another way. I suspect that Isam was raised to be a Darkfriend, but that Luc didn't have much choice in the matter. I could easily be wrong - just because he was a Mantear doesn't mean he couldn't have been a Darkfriend before - but if that was the case, then why did it take Gitara Moroso to get him to go to the Blight? Isam was waiting for him in the high passes, and that has an ominous ring to it. But also, one lived, and one died, but both are. That implies that one of them is dominant in a way, to me.

As for the other question...there's only really one who has garnered any real discussion over the years.

I don't want to know what's in the 'discuss the full book' thread, since I'm relying on a very thin veneer of self restraint as it is.

I think thin does not even come close for me. I can see myself cracking in the near future... Good job I'm not one of the three wonder lads otherwise the DO could have turned me simply by giving me the complete set of WoT books there and then.
