We have one more honor to give out.

 

There is one more person, who is here today, who needs to be recognized. This is the person who has made the Reds become what they are today and leads us all, with head held high. She is the one who kicks encourages us to become better, both IRL and at DM.

 

I personally know, whatever I need, I can go to this wonderful woman. She is steady, wise is attacked by a coughing fit, a wonderful friend and a valued mentor who still has all the Reds under her wing (Ok, maybe not Eglee).

 

 

She has been in charge of us crazy folk, and has added to the insanity, for three years now!

 

She is the Bane of the Algai, the Red Ajah Sangoire Red, The Head Nut, and the most beloved Head of Ajah there is.

I remember when I first met her off the DM boards on another site and I thought her quite the spoil sport, for she had made me report for some kind of trouble I was up to. This is a clear indication that first impressions can be wrong. She is an amazing woman. For she has been kind to me, cared for me and shared her wisdom with me when I asked for it. But more important than all of this to me is, that she believes in me.

 

Now this is not about my relationship with her, but rather that of her and her Ajah.

 

She is what an Ajah needs. She is what our Ajah has and I count myself very lucky to have found my home in this Ajah. Never will there be anywhere that she does not participate or encourage people to keep things going.

Some people might approach HoA’s and find them intimidating cause of their rank. And yes.. She is one intimidating woman, but she will never shy away from giving a visitor a thorough snugglebite or point them in the right direction.

 

I might not have experienced it from the beginning, but from what I have heard and noticed, She has been the backbone of the Red Ajah. She has been the one to bring the Ajah to where it is today. She is our one and only Highest.

Myst is the reason I joined the Red Ajah. Not because I wanted to be in the same Ajah as her ... wait ... that sounded wrong, didn't it  ???

What I mean is, she showed me that the Reds weren't at all like I thought they would be. Sure, there are many similarities, but without most of the negatives. Plus, once she had her fangs hooked in me, I was too scared to say no you couldn't drag me out with a team of Bellas  :D

 

I joined a few weeks after she became the Head Nut, when there were about 3 of us, and got to know her through all the trials and tribulations, the joys and triumphs. I've watched her work her butt off to get the Ajah where it is today - a strong family of more than 13 members, now!

 

This woman pours her heart and soul into her passions. I'm just so glad and grateful that one of her passions happens to be the Red Ajah, and its members. I'm honoured to count her as friend, too, for a better friend one can't ask for.

 

Beloved, thank you for being our friend, mother, sister, Head - we are honoured.

The heathen knothead notes the faces turned his way, many seeming to be wonderin' what all the ruckus is about that's disturbin' their jocularity meetin'. Just about then he notes Mysty crookin' a very stern finger "encouraging" him in no disputable manner (that HE can think of anyway) to approach her personage.

 

The Auld Pirate staggers up the stairs and trips over the last one, sprawling unceremoniously at the feet of Herself. Looking up he rolls his eyes disparagingly and mutters. " Mary, Jesus and Joseph yer Ladyship, Ya don't suppose none o'them noticed do ya?" He scrambles to a mostly upright position and makes his best leg and accepts the lovely flower Mysty hands him, trys to focus his eyes on it and sheepishly mutters... "Ummm... Thanks?"

ahem..... good rum, ye' ol' Sea Dog? ;) *helps the Pirate to his feet and snugglebites him thoroughly in the neck, getting a nice buzz in the process* Hmmmmm, this thing just trippled the effect of my daiquirri! I could get used to this! LOL

 

Congrats Mannylove! Very well deserved. You did an AMAZING job on those signatures. They'll be going on the Red Ajah website to be admired for all time! :D

Mystica I have to honestly say you are the top people who keeps this old Red coming back. I love our ajah and I give you alot of the credit for helping me get back to being "IN" the ajah.  I know I'm not around as much as I would like to be but you and all my sisters never make feel like a weirdo when I jump back in and I love that which is why I always try to come back after only a few weeks and not years like before. ;D You are our anchor and I know that can be hard to be with a bunch like us but know we would gladly do what we can to lighten the load when you need it ;D

Although I'm not currently a Red Sedai, I have to say that when I left Dragonmount many years back the Red Ajah really seemed to be dying out, and everyone was just going on their own little ways. It was such a shame because we had such a fine group of Reds back then, and a lot of fun - but it's just the way things happen sometimes. Since returning I can see that that is most certainly not the case now, though. Mystica, I am sure that you are one of the biggest reasons the Red Ajah is going as strongly as it is now, and just one more reason I am so glad to be back here!

*nibbles the two ancient ones for half an hour* It's always fantastic to see old members return and having a good time and feeling at home at the Ajah :) It really is a nice way of checking whether we've stayed in touch with our history even while moving forward into the future.
