here is a question that may seem odd to those of you who missed the particular game... straight up role or one night relic ability? i ask because of what dpr did that he apparently cannot say (waiting for al...), the prs, the necro, the thwart the vote kill... you get my point?

There is also the possibility... Pete will jump all over this... that they are both mafia and Thorum is being thrown under the bus so we think Lavi is innocent the rest of the game.

Yes, but if that's the case someone with the 'real' ability can view me tonight and find out for sure without ever revealing, true? And then you lynch me. See, too dangerous for mafia, to lose two players in two days. It's a mad scheme. If I were scum, I'd be better of claiming my mafia buddies were innocent.

 

Even if I were scum, throwing Thorum under the bus so to speak, how can it be bad for us to lynch a mafioso??? If you remain suspicious of me thereafter, so be it, but if I find mafia I will tell you so we can kill these guys! :)

lalala... there is a reason early games we played counciled to wait to have a few names and alignments before going public and into protection mode. after the absent danya pulled off the first fake claim on fiddles... i think we had a two guilty or minimum of a three day standard, unspoken, unless up for a lynch. now, we have a tied up healer and a maybe claim.

I was recently in a game with a couple of players in this game. I was mafia. One of my plans in that game was the old "Finder Finder" ploy to smoke out the real finder.

 

***On day 2, the mafia claims finder and points the FOS at person X. The real finder counter claims...and the mafia now knows who the finder is.

 

I'm not saying that's what's going on...I'm just saying that I find it quite a coincidence that this situation has popped up.

 

I also find it less than amusing that a few experienced players did not point this out. I commend those that did.

 

I could go on and on, but what's the point? Out of 23 living players, only a handful have even posted. Which, on a Sunday night, somebody must have been counting on...just saying.

Why in the hell would you trust me? We agree that there is a lot going on - don't add to it. There is no trust, per say, there is only evidence. You can provide great evidence. If you do, I'll support it. If you don't, I'll lead the lynch on you. I expect you to feel the same way...

Alys, we know you don't trust DPR.  In a room full of paranoid people, bashing that point over the head is a bit on the suspicious side.

Coming from an experienced Mafia player, that pretty much goes a long way towards discrediting anything I say.

 

Three pages worth of arguing over the relic whatchamadingle, and now you're both singing the same tune of, "Pics or it didn't happen" to Lavi.  (With Alys making sure to distance herself by adding the "I don't trust you, Dreaddy" schpiel, of course.)  Scrolling back to when our beloved Westley found himself with 3 votes, you defended him- repeatedly- whilst singing of your distrust:

Based on DPR's reputation, people will give his words and ideas a lot of weight.  I don't know about Alys, but I assume that her words will carry nearly the same weight.  With two people like that being mafia, blowing off a finder reveal could potentially be devastating.  Let's look at yesterday as an example.  DPR's assault of Al's posts was more than enough to get a whole lot of us on board.  Why?  Because he's experienced.  He knows the game.  He can read into all the little details.  He can see into your very soul...  Okay, that's probably a bit far, but the point stands.  Of course he's going to use a reputation like that to his advantage if he's mafia!

 

I understand basically everything that is being said between Alys and DPR but I have to be honest it seems a little rehearsed. I don't know if it is it just seems that way.

It does feel a bit like that, yes.

Probably the best course of action here.  It's Day 2, so we have a little lee way.  It's not like we're at lynch-and-lose here.

dpr is playing at a point where i feel he could have me caught in his web but he is saying just enough right that i can't peg him. that means i am going to keep reminding him that i see him and he worries me.

 

also, do not misread me. i disagree with the way lav revealed. i do not like it, but i am not saying it is false. there is too much forest here and i would like to clear some trees, if you get my meaning.

 

quibs, you are doing lav's job for her again. if she wants trust from us "experienced" "influential" players, she needs to talk us through this. she does not need to rely on someone else doing her case work and making her points. if it was anyone other than you who got called out, would you expect the claimant to do their own dirty work before another player backed it? would you find it suspicious that another player jumped right in like it was planned, then "discovered" another semi active player "connected" to the first claimed scum?

 

i fully realize you could have been really excited and feeding off what could be a real claim. now take a walk in a different pair of shoes that has different info from you. can you see how i find it more suspicious with you chiming in for her?

Whew. Sorry guys, I was traveling all day yesterday and thought I'd be able to get online in our motel in the evening. But we got in way too late, traffic was horrible.

 

So. A lot's been going on. I'm most occupied with Lav's reveal and whether to believe it or not. Seems kind of early to reveal, but then, she did find scum (if she's telling the truth), so it's not the worst timing in the world. Also, I see her point about not having much to thrown suspicion on Thorum. So, I'm inclined to believe her...I think. [glow=red,2,300]Thorum[/glow].
