Intimidation shouldn't be a factor. Someone is always better than the best person you know, so just jump in and kick some @$$. Kivy and Wes and Sira intimidate me at times, but I'll call them out any day.

For serious.  Look at Lav.  She pulled one over on Kiv. ;)

I was totally intimidated early on - the confused thing was not an act, the hyper analysing and such is not my way and had me lost. But in the end...you just gotta go for it and hope to hell you survive ;D. I pretty much swam blind and hoped I was going the right way ;)

Honestly that's all I ever do.  Pete came to me when he was new asking for help and I didn't know how to give any.  I never have set plans or strategies.  I play off of what everyone in the game is doing.  Far was right... I  over-analyze posts.  ;D

Yep - even when I'm scum, there's very rarely strategy to what I do. A whole lot of tactics, but strategy?  No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy.

Pete, you've got to get over this "everything Kiv does is scummy" kick you have going on.  :D

Well, that makes me feel better.  I was worried that the scum role was wasted on me, because I'm rarely part of any brilliant strategies.  Mostly, I "scumhunt" and improvise with the situation.  I always thought that was one of my big tells - I am way more quiet as mafia.

First off, sorry for my inactivity.  I missed two three-day weekends, got hit hard with schoolwork, and caught stomach flu to boot.  It was an awesome game, and I wish I'd been able to be more active and come up with a more diabolical plan.

I don't know if I correctly called any shots, but I did have a few facepalms...

- I totally missed Dae's hinting.

- I was thinking Pandy was either the Traitor or trying to get us to waste our kill Night 1.  Half a victory there, I guess.

- I'd like to take just a little credit for thinking Pale was bluffing when he said Lavinya would die and advising her to claim a lesser role.  She pulled it off perfectly, of course, which was huge for us.

- I thought I'd caught Kivam as the cop when he said that he believed Lily and FDM were innocent.  That was way off.

- And afterwards I had Nae pegged as the cop until the final day.  I knew she had some sort of power role, I just couldn't figure out what it was.

Oh, and my "reveal" was going to be as the SK.  I figured no one would believe me as an innocent, but they just might buy that I wasn't mafia.  I was going to try to convince you that the innocents needed to lynch a mafia, otherwise the game was over.  The numbers worked out - I just would have had to convince you guys that there were probably two mafia.

I thought Kivam was the cop too.  I even hinted my backup status at him.  His firefighter roleclaim would have been brilliant if he were the cop, but I guess if he were the cop he wouldn't have been so obvious with all but saying he had definite information about alignments.

I'm still working - my little guy just needs lots of attention - but I'm getting there.

I did not contribute much....okay, I didn't contibute anything.  I really didn't know what kinda things to call when I was a townie with a one time night kill.  I was also a little intimidated by all the people I was playing with so....yeah  :-[

You played your role well.  Contrast you not killing anyone with what Pale did.

But they're worth it. I judt didn't know that I had given up my life to become an attendant...this kid isn't happy unless I put him on my shoulder and walk around. I have a worn trail on the floor in my house...

Actually, i don't think anyone would ever survive mafia if they did not play an ever changing game of improvisation. you just have to work to solidify that always the same routine for good or evil. not that it works when people know it is your style. again, feeling the lpvw talya. :)

I have to agree with that, Alys. I'm constantly evolving as a player. I take chances and do odd things. Some work. Some don't. I'd rather be known as unpredictable than have people assign me a style. More scum leeway. *grin*

BDPR - BabyDreadPirateRoberts says "thank you" for your patience, and that his dad will have the points up very soon. Does this kid have mafia written all over him, or what?

The pic is for Nae!
