The "warm" ter 'angreal

Does anyone remember about the time Elayne was going through that Ter 'angreal cache (I think it was it Cairherien?)She found one that felt warm to the touch and then she blacked out and no one would tell her what happened.

What do you think happened? I have an idea but it would be way out of character for WoT.

Elayne was never in Cairhien.  You might be thinking Caemlyn.

Blacked out after touching a terangreal, I do not recall that.

Only times I recall Elayne going through the terangreals are these:

-right after getting through the gateway (Path of Daggers Chapter 2)

-At Kin's Farm (Path of Daggers Chapter 4)

-at palace just before Aviendha leaves (Knife of Dreams Chapter 15)

It's in Chapter 20 of TPoD "Into Andor" while Elayne and party are heading to Caemlyn.

It creates visual and aural illusions, but if the user is unwary it may put her to sleep and broadcast her fantasies and dreams. That's from the WoTRPG.

I can just imagine what her fantasies were.  ;)

The WoTRPG is not a recognised source, and has been wrong several times in the past. RJ himself said that.

From Encyclopaedia site:

Red Rod

A ter'angreal in the form of a wrist-thick red rod about a foot long. It feels firm rather than hard and feels even warmer than ter'angreal normally do. The red rod is activated by Fire. It creates visual and aural illusions, but if the user is unwary it may put her to sleep and broadcast her fantasies and dreams.

In this case, the information seems probable.  And several times is not all the time.

No, Encyclopaedia WoT has listed RPG information before--but that doesn't change the inherent untrustworthiness of the source. If memory serves it was actually about an encylopaedia listing that this came up originally--it was one of the forgotten weaves Nynaeve gets told about when they had Moghedian as a prisoner--'milking tears'???

And several times is not all the time.

An untrustworthy source is an untrustworthy source.

From Thirteen Depository::

Bright Red Hot Rod

A rod, as thick as her wrist, bright red and smooth and rounded, firm rather than hard for all that it seemed to be stone; it did not warm slightly in her hand, it almost felt hot! Not real heat…

    - The Path of Daggers, A Quiet Place

It was found by Elayne and Nynaeve in the Ebou Dar cache and is now in Caemlyn. Elayne examined it one evening when she was alone and decided to channel Fire into it (The Path of Dagger, Into Andor). The next thing she knew was waking up the next morning, with everyone trying not to laugh and too embarrassed to tell her what happened. Since the ‘hot’ rod has a phallic description, it is likely that Elayne used it in some sexual way, and fairly openly, since everyone knew of it.

An untrustworthy source is an untrustworthy source.

That is a prejudiced statement.  No source I found contradicted their information mentioned in this thread.

Other sources probably also had/have wrong information from time to time; that does not necessarily make all the information they give wrong.

Prejudiced? What? The WoT RPG has provided false information several times in the past. To state it as an untrustworthy source is not an act of prejudice, its an act of accurate perception. It doesn't mean it doesn't have information that is correct, but it does mean that information that it singularily provides cannot be trusted as cannon. Hence 'untrustworthy'.

Other sources that do that have the exact same issue. The 'Thus Spake the Creator' website, for instance.

I believe that, among other things, it may have caused Elayne to take off her clothes and dance on a table. Why?

If I remember correctly, in PoD, when Rand and Elayne were... having some fun right after Rand was bonded by Elayne/Min/Aviendha, Birgette commented on getting drunk enough to dance on a table without her clothes. And she seemed to be referencing something, something that Aviendha found very funny but Min didn't understand.

Of course, whatever the rod did, Elayne wasn't exactly drunk, but I still think Birgette's comment was a reference to the way she had behaved when under its influence.

It was in Winter's Heart that happened. I believe in Crossroads of Twilight a short Birgitte POV reveals that Birgitte took advantage of their bond mirroring at that point to pull a prank on Elayne.

Nice supposition!
