Okay, before I get into anything else, I also agree that referencing that last game, or other games, gets annoying. I mean, sure, if you've played with someone before and want to bring their style into it to judge the way they're playing, fine, but it gets confusing when you go too far with it.

Okay now I'm going to have to go back on what I just said (about referencing other games) to defend myself here.

Now I am really confused because you did not vote day one. I never twisted your words that game, I twisted and manipulated the situation, there is a difference.

I was talking about voting in that game overall, not just day one. And maybe there's a difference, but it's a small, insignificant one, as far as I'm concened. Seeing as this is an online game, twisting the situation is twisting someone's words, since it's all we have.

Back to you Alanna. The people that voted for Torrie said there vote was a joke and they were trying to get information off of the lynch. I presented as good a case as you can expect for day one, but I think I have stumbled on something more.

If it was really a joke, maybe they should've unvoted before she got lynched. And trying to get information off of the lynch, that's exactly why I voted for her, as I already said. Having lynched someone, I feel I've got more to go on now, even though she, sadly, turned out to be innocent.

Wonderful that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.  It's a WIFOM that's anti-town.

And forgive me for "over analyzing" this:

TOWN IF I AM NK PLEASE GO AFTER ALANNA OR LILY IF I AM STILL AROUND I WILL LEAD THE CHARGE MYSELF

Not exactly being subtle there.

WIFOM is normally a mafia tactic unless you use it against the mafia. By me saying that it sets Lily or Alanna up as potential mafia members, either in fact or a set up created by the mafia. Since I pointed that out the mafia should target someone else, but then I will be implicated so the mafia will have to choose someone and try and build a case. But since I have posted all of this then they will have to create a case, and since this is day one there is no real case for the mafia to create, so anyone trying to create a case tomorrow out of mine, lily's, or Alanna's nk are most likely mafia.

What I just posted may not make since but it was hard to phrase, I had it in my mind but I just can't say it correctly.

Firstly there is a big difference. If you manipulate a situation you use WIFOM arguments, and what if analysis.

Secondly they stated that they were not serious. You however tried to use logic but failed at it. I will post the quote.

Hmm, Lily makes a good point. And I don't have any better reason, at this point.[glow=red,2,300]Vote Torrie.[/glow]

Your post is not anything close to a joke, and you are saying I like Lily's logic so I am going with it for now. You had no real reason and no just case. I am confident you are mafia and I am leaning towards DSage being mafia also.

Yeah, sorry but I can't follow your logic apparently.

You are either trying to discredit me or you are telling the truth. I know it is hard to understand it felt weird when I wrote it down.

Firstly, what is WIFOM?

Secondly, I don't know how many times I can say I wasn't trying to use logic. I'm not going to say it again. All I was agreeing with Lily about is that we needed to vote because there wasn't a lot of time left. I wasn't agreeing with anything else she said (I don't even remember what else she said). I wasn't agreeing with her 'logic.' I wasn't joking either, or I would have retracted my vote before she actually could have been lynched. Seriously, I feel like I'm going in circles here, saying the same thing over and over. As for being convinced I'm mafia, I'm starting to get convinced that you're mafia, Pete.

Wine

In

Front

Of

Me

Picture this. Someone sets out a tray with two glasses of wine on it. One of them is poisoned. Which glass do you take? Do you take the glass that the person had intended to drink or do you keep our own because you assumed the person would figure you would want to drink out of there glass. Or do you get there glass assuming that they figured you would think that and then get their glass anyway. It can go on forever.

Also you are getting hot around the collar. Alanna it is a game sure emotions run hot but if you are not mafia even if you are nk or lynched and the town wins then so do you.

Dragonsworn, Lily, telling the rest of us what to do if you get NK'd is bad bad bad.  It gives the Entities a way to make someone else take the blame.  Bad play by both of you, I would have expected better.

I don't know what you're talking about, DSage. I didn't tell anyone what to do. I merely said that I thought Dragon was acting like he does when he plays mafia, and then realized there were some differences after all and apologized. I wish I hadn't said anything, but done is done. I got upset when he started in on me, and I shouldn't have. I can't take it back, so I have to live with it, but I believe he is innocent now.

Oh okay, I get it. The wine thing, I mean. It reminds me of Princess Bride ;D

And I apologize if I was getting too heated, Pete. I hope you know, even if I seem to get really into it or take it too seriously, I truly don't. I like having these debates/argument with you, and I don't really mean anything by it, certainly not outside the context of the game. I was probably even a little more heated than usual earlier because I was dealing with some RL stuff at the same time, that had me really frustrated, so everytime I came back to post here I was even more frustrated, though not by the game. Does that make sense? I apologize, at any rate. I know it's just a game.

Alanna, I think that's where the WIFOM is from. Personally, they make my head spin. I can't even begin to follow what Pete said.

I went through something similar in another game recently. I brought RL frustration into an already upsetting situation. I certainly can't hold that against you.

Yep, that's where the name comes from, though ironically, that situation is not a true WIFOM because both glasses were poisoned rather than only one.

Lily, you're right.  You didn't quite say that.  I was rash.

Hm, I come back after a short absense and you already managed to ban an innocent book. That's what happens when I get busy in RL during a mafia game.  ;D

(I see people think that my absense is a mafia tactics. Well, that's not true, but I understand that I can't prove anything to anyone).

I suspect Dragon and Mnwhiterose of both being mafia. Dragon voted for her to make people think there was no connection between them, and when he saw that the Mnwhiterose bandwagon really started, contrary to what he expected, he diverted it, though at this point in the game there was little difference between banning Mn or any other book.

I was the first person to vote Luddy. I started to vote for you because you are number eight. It was mainly a joke vote. I have not agreed with mn on any point, and she has not given me any reason to think she is scum. I voted for Torrie because she was starting a bandwagon and bandwagoners sometimes tend to be mafia. After that I read Alanna's posts they did not sit well with me and I tried to unvote Torrie but I just missed the deadline. Luddy it looks like you are trying to build a case against me, albeit a weak one.

Hmm, Luddy makes a good point, but I'm still trying to find my way towards analysing actions :)

At the moment, most of my attention is on Dsworn, Lily, Alanna and Dsage. I'm convinced that one or maybe two of them are mafia. I guess we should just wait and see what the next phase brings. If the nightbanning (is that what we should call it? lol) works out how I think it will, the dynamic between the four (soon to be three?) of them will come out a little more.

Of course, now, knowing my luck, I'm going to get banned overnight. Except now that I've said I might get banned overnight, I probably won't. And now that I've said I probably won't, I probably will. Sigh.

I see how this WIFOM thing works. Mostly I just need some wine in front of me! :)

So, you think Dragon is mafia, but why me? Or is it just guilt by association?

No problem. There's a lot of that going around this game, I think.

Luddy, glad you could join us. I love your thought processes, and they make the game easier for me.

As for me being a person of interest, all that really happened is that I saw history repeating itself, or so I thought, and I more or less lost it. I have no problem being adult enough to admit I was wrong. Trying to do anything else would make me look suspicious, because I'm not very good at that sort of thing. I can't make you all believe me, of course, so I'll drop this now. I'll have more to say if I start collecting votes, I guess.

I did a reread, and nobody really sticks out more than anyone else, I'm afraid. I did take note of those who voted for Torrie without really giving a reason, but almost all of them did something either before or after that makes me not suspect them. I'm really at a loss at this point. Keep talking, everyone. Maybe something will stick out later.  ;)

DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUN

All the books woke up in The Library, excited for the new day. They had survived! They would be read! They weren't banned!

And then they heard a chilling sound.

A sound that pierced fear into their poor Book hearts.

The sound of a crackling...FIRE!

Oh no! Who was it? Who was missing?

And to their horror they discovered that THE ANARCHIST COOKBOOK by William Powell was BURNING! Heaps of copies of the Book were piled, drenched in kerosene and set on fire.

The screams of Charis would forever haunt their memories!

1249237222-000e9544medium.jpeg

The Anarchist Cookbook will shock, it will disturb, it will provoke. It places in historical perspective an era when "Turn on, Burn down, Blow up" are revolutionary slogans of the day.

Says the author:

"This book... is not written for the members of fringe political groups, such as The Weathermen, or The Minutemen. Those radical groups don't need this book. They already know everything that 's in here. If the real people of America, the silent majority, are going to survive, they must educate themselves. That is the purpose of this book."

In what the author considers a survival guide, there is explicit information on the uses and effects of drugs ranging from pot to heroin to peanuts.

There is detailed advice concerning electronics, sabotage, and surveillance, with data on everything from bugs to scramblers. There is a comprehensive chapter on natural, non-lethal, and lethal weapons, running the gamut from cattle prods to submachine guns to bows and arrows.

The section on explosives and booby traps ranges from TNT to whistle traps.

One hundred and eleven drawings supplement the recipes.

"This book is for anarchists," says William Powell, "those who feel able to discipline themselves on all the subjects (from drugs to weapons, to explosives) that are currently illegal and suppressed in this country."

Techniques, disciplines, precautions, and warnings pervade what may be the most disquieting "how-to" book of contemporary times.

and then there's a warning.

Warning

Read this book, but keep in mind that the topics written about here are illegal and constitute a threat. Also, more importantly, almost all the recipes are dangerous, especially to the individual who plays around with them without knowing what he is doing. Use care, caution, and common sense. This book is not for children or morons.

-Willam Powell

William Powell was just 19 when he wrote this 1971 cult classic. The guerrilla how-to book managed to anger not only government officials, but also anarchist groups. One such organization, CrimethInc., said the book misrepresents anarchist ideals and later released its own book of the same name. Other critics attacked the book for more practical reasons — some of the bombmaking recipes that Powell included turned out to be dangerously inaccurate. Ironically, an older and purportedly wiser Powell later tried to censor his own book. After converting to Christianity, Powell publicly denounced his work, writing in 2000 on Amazon.com that the book is a "misguided product of my adolescent anger at the prospect of being drafted and sent to Vietnam to fight in a war that I did not believe in." But even Powell couldn't successfully ban the book from print; he no longer owns the rights.

Day 2 has begun! It takes 6 votes for a successful lynch with 10 players left. The deadline is Oct 14 at 7:30 pm CST (the Mod needs to be in bed by 8 and is running late tonight!) unless a majority vote is reached.

Have fun!

I am voting [glow=red,2,300]alanna[/glow] based on my previous posts.

And the first person to call me blood thirsty or lynch crazed will get my pent up aggression posted towards them.
