No # 7 (Small RP) - Open (Through sign ups) - Realisation

Covai opens a gateway to the White Tower. Unfortunately he happens to open it into a courtyard with Red Ajah members inside. Unable to close the gateway before they are spotted (Those shiny pins are a giveaway), Covai and his party  travel through and inform the Aes Sedai of why they are there, and ask to speak to the Amrylin.

Some of the Aes Sedai leave to report (both to the Amrylin and Ajah) whilst the others stay behind to watch over the crazies

**This RP will basically involve Covai and others rocking up and waiting around, admiring the sights of the White Tower from the courtyard. This RP will focus mostly on the Aes Sedai returning with the news and Covai's offer of collaboration. The WT can do what they like with this, and BT involvement will be confined to commenting how pretty the flower beds look, and how someone could at least bring them some food whilst they wait. Oh, and the funny looks on Novice faces have having a bunch of Asha'man standing around looking scary )

So, any WT got a plans on who's involved with this one? Currently only Covai and Arath are confirmed for this RP, but the BT will have a signup to allow some other BTers to come and stand around looking bored :P

Serge will be in this group as well.

At the same time as this RP, Maegan (the former Highest, bonded to Serge) will feel him arrive in Tar Valon, and go running to inform the Highest that an Asha'man is in the city.  The Highest will grab her Sitters and go to the Amyrlin and Keeper.  The Amyrlin will send sisters to escort the delegation to her offices. :)

None of the former bonds are supposed to be in effect anymore.

Although never actually RP'd out, ALL the bonds were to be released and the Aes Sedai returned to Tar Valon.  As I understand it anyway.

From my understanding, the BT would only release the sisters they captured with the bonds intact.  Sort of an insurance policy in case they decided to come back.  And since the WT really has no way of enforcing any sort of 'release the bonds' mandate, they are still active (not that it really matters, except for this RP, since there are very few players left that were bonded).

Everyone might want to take a look at this. I'm well aware the Watcher's RP imploded and killed itself off, but this is the oficial summarry on DM.

Day 28: The announcement of new Amyrlin and equality of WT & BT is delivered to every court. The Bonds are finally released.

This is a great example of what I was talking about in regards to getting everybody on the same page. And to be fair, even this 'offical' summary doesn't make it clear.  Without trying to sound nasty here, the Watchers RPs started too early, and these details weren't worked out, and a year later we're still having to deal with it.

The understanding on the BT side of this was that ALL bonds were released. Its listed as the final stage of the Watchers RP, and basically part of the reason was cutting ties to the failed RP. Sorry if I'm insulting people using the term failed, but thats how I see it. There was a lot of fumbling in the dark, and despite a few good RPs from both side, nothing carried on afterwards.

Kara, thanks for the input :) Sounds right to me as well, once they're involved Covai and co will be lead to them, and RP No# 8 will start in seperate thread.

Muir, Serge hadn't been confirmed but we'll add him in. The bond isn't in effect, but if he's in the party and Maegan happens to be amongest the Aes Sedai in the courtyard we pop up in, that still gives you the chance to go grab the people you need to. Same effect, different cause. Sound alright?

Tig, thats about right. BT side now includes Covai, Arath, Serge, and a few others who arrive at the courtyard. WT side includes the Sisters in the courtyard, (Maegan and others?) and the Amrylin/Keeper/Sitters (names?). Hows that sound to people at the moment?

Ikki could come with if you want, but I don't want to hog from other people since I'm involved already.

Names! Maegan is Arie's old char. As far as I know, she'll be NSWed. Shevara is the Amyrlin, Raslyn the Keeper, then the Sitters are Viviana, Larindhra, and Jasmyne. Zarinen is the Highest.

And that sounds fine to me. Maybe throw in a novice/Accepted after the Ashies get there, maybe even another Sedai from another Ajah.(But that might cause unwanted problems)

Covai, I was working off the information from the previous WT staff (Arie) who told me that's how it happened.  If that isn't the case, I can adjust accordingly.  I'm very sorry you feel like Watcher's was a failed RP.  I consider it one of the highlights of my DM career.  I quite enjoyed it all around.  The player attrition and staff turnover was unfortunate, but that has the tendency to happen in any major RP.

That changes the timing quite a bit, which was the important factor in this RP.  Without he bonding, there is no reason for Maegan to be involved at all, and her role can just as easily be filled by any other Aes Sedai.

I was also under the assumption that all the Asha'man who signed on to be bonded in the first wave would be there, which would include Serge, Ikki, Tavon, etc. :)

*grins at Covai* - you're all heart!

Summary:

All Asha'man who have their bondmates picked out for the first wave of bondings, will be in the initial party visiting the WT.

Bonding will happen right there and then (after agreement is reached).

Idea: Reason for a group of Reds to just happen to be together, with a few Novices / Accepted - that Red Picnic idea I floated a while back?
