No Frills Newbie Mafia--Game OVER!

Game Intro:

In the game of mafia your alignment is either innocent or evil. You will know which by the pm I send you. If you are innocent, you may only post on the game thread. If you are evil, you will be able to communicate with your evil team off of the game thread.

 

Once you have confirmed with me that you’ve received your pm, you may begin playing. If you are innocent, your goal is to find and lynch all of the mafia. If you are mafia, your goal is to kill innocents, and not get caught.

 

The game ends when either the innocents find all of the mafia, OR the number of mafia equals the number of innocents left (thus taking away the majority vote).

 

In this game, there will be Day and Night. During the day, players will vote on someone to lynch. To vote, you must [glow=red,2,300]glow[/glow] the players name you wish to be lynched. When someone is lynched, you will learn their alignment and role (if they have one). When that happens, the Night phase begins. 

 

During the Night phase, the Finder will pm me one name, and they will receive the alignment and role of that player. The Healer will pm me one name, and that player will be immune to any Mafia action that night. The mafia will decide on one player, and that player will be killed during the night phase. Because the number of innocents outweigh the mafia, the mafia are allowed to communicate outside of the game thread, and they get to choose their kill without a vote.

 

TECHNICAL RULES

1. If your role says you can talk with other people, you can, but only with whom it says and only when it says. If the role does not say you can talk with other people, all communication about this game MUST stay in this thread until the game is over.

2. As soon as you are dead (reached majority vote or killed in a night scene or day-kill scene), you are dead. You may post nothing game related (not even a suspicion) beyond this point. You may make one ‘Bah’ post, but it should contain nothing that could potentially alter the outcome of the game.

3. Day deadlines will be imposed in this game. If a majority is not reached before the deadline hits, I will kill the person with the most votes. If there is a tie I will flip a coin.

4. Night deadlines are always imposed. You have until this deadline to get in your night choice, if you have one. If you need night to be extended for whatever reason, PM me and I’ll see what I can do.

 

MOD RULES

2. NEVER ever quote your role, or any part of any PM I send you. Period. You may paraphrase these PMs unless I tell you not to. Failure to heed this rule will result in a modkill.

4. If you are going to be gone for an extended period of time (48 hours or more), I’d appreciate it if you’d post a notice in the thread, or send me a pm so I can post one for you.

5. Don’t edit your posts. No, don’t even think about it. YOU HEARD ME! Just because that ‘edit’ button is crying out to you after you just noticed a glaring Freudian Slip in your post, or that you misspelled something does not mean you should listen to Mr. Edit Button and give him a click. I'm not sure asking questions can be considered a deadly weapon in the Mafia Hunt (since, you know, we can lie ;) ) but Day 1 is all about instincts, silly reasons and people smelling bad.

Tis why we usually end up lynching an innocent Day 1. Because if by chance, we start voting for a Mafia player, his buddies will quickly come to the rescue and start a bandwagon on another player. But that's necessary and will give us helpful info on Day 2 to start elaborating theories based on voting patterns, comments etc...

 

So everyone should vote, and most importantly spread the love, that way we can have the more info.

 

Oh, and btw in my days as a newbie, we were given Day and Night 1 off ;)

"I wasn't expecting such a rush!"  Hahaha.  I think that his Dress to Kill routine is about the funniest stand up ever made.

 

On a side note, Eddie Izzard came to a small venue where I live (Rhode Island), and I got to see him for about $30.  Sweet - he was awesome.  Sure, he made fun of our state, but come on - who hasn't?  ;D

 

Moggy, that's funny you chose me because of the #.  I have that there because of some stupid drunk college thing where we swore that the number brought good luck.  It popped up everywhere, which of course wasn't true....we were just looking for it.  But anywho, apparently the good luck is starting to run out if I'm getting voted for it, lol.
