BUBG Mafia game thread.

Hmmmm this game is definately getting interesting. It's just a matter of who to vote for. We don't want to go wrong here. We see how disturbing these murders are not to mention the fact the mafia killed their own Symp. Who is that ruthless?

 

Gil-T. I'm not even kidding this time. Anyone who starts a post off with "this is getting interesting" in the middle of a calm sea must know something I don't. We don't want to go wrong here? As if we ever do- overstating caution. And why try to mislead us into thinking that the mafia killed their own symp? We've already talked about this.

*Is lost*  I wouldn't be too quick to start voting actives peoples. It seems to me that inactivity is the perfect shield for mafia... :-\ But you could try to double guess that and consider those who are trying to control the lynches.. ::)

What's wrong with keeping a cool head. It is more logical and leads to more logical thinking.  :P We can't get all carried away. Are we really gonna try and beat the mafia with a mob mentality?

I wouldnt agree completely that inactiveness means mafianess.

 

i'm going to vote for [glow=red,2,300]Daet[/glow] because he seems the most eager to defend himself, without even needing to. Other than that, he just seems too confident. Not sure how to put it.

Pinging my radar is [glow=red,2,300]el Nyn[/glow], she is always either 2nd or 3rd on a vote, might be simple coincidence but it's also a damn good place to hide and/or carry momentum. Besides it's good spreading the votes a bit, it'll give us more info tomorrow...

And your vote just pinged the radar excessivly. That smacks of a selfpreservation vote with a tenuous reason behind it. Whilst part of the motivation for this post is self preservation, your still pinging the radar excessively

Right now both Clim and Dae are pinging the ol' Mafia radar for reasons that have already been mentioned. And since I can only vote for one, I'm going to vote for [glow=red,2,300]Clim[/glow]. Dae is in a close second and I might still change my vote before day is out because I see both of them as trying for preservation votes and acting very defensively.

ok so clim has 4 votes now and Dae has 3. IT is hard to decide... both are very defensive. Buy i think we all need to think about how we would react in the same situation. I know i would would try my best to deflec the votes away from myself as well.

 

AS i said it is hard to choose. I voted Clim last time just because...i had no real reason... so i'll vote [glow=red,2,300]Dae[/glow] this time.

Hence defensive play in many ways - second i get an interesting role, i call too much attention to myself. Such is life i guess..

 

Would have tried to leave this a little longer but taking my Girlfriend out tonight and can't garuntee i'll be online before Sunday afternoon otherwise

It's possible that he's evil. I know that in other games, I've claimed Healer just because I didn't want to die. Clim could be evil, or he could be self preserving.

oh everyone *STOP!*

 

this is a 'standard' game, we will not run into situations like having 2 healers on the good guy team, which means one of either barm or dae is false claiming and is in fact mafia.

 

 

so heres my suggestion: we keep both alive. Now I garentee you some mafia is supposed to come in here and say that we should have the finder view one and reveal when she finds the evil one. But then the mafia can pick off the finder and healer pretty quickly after. maybe losing 1 night kill.

 

Rather then have the finder reveal and both of them die...lets let both barm and dae live.

 

Finder, I implore you to view either dae or barm tonight anyways so *YOU KNOW*

 

 

But don't reveal tomorrow. Instead keep viewing people until you find a second evil player. Once you find a second evil player you should reveal yourself. Tell us who that second evil player is and we can lynch that player. if he turns out evil we lynch the healer claimant you say is evil. This keeps (hopefully) the healer claimant and finder claimant alive. Yes they both might die, but in exchange we kill 2 of 3 evils.

 

 

What this means for the real healer!

 

healer, don't heal yourself anymore! heal other players.

 

The mafia can't kill the real healer claimant because if they do then we instantly know who one of the mafia is and that mafia member will die.

 

Note: there is a slight chance of the mafia doing this anyways. If so the fidner should not reveal unless the finder has found the remaining 2 evils.

 

 

*BIG HOLE IN THE PLAN*- if the finder is night killed we are royally screwed. this is why im telling the true healer not to heal himself.

 

If we choose this course of action the game becomes a race between the mafia and the finder to find each other. With more mafia then finders the finder has better odds but has to spend tonight viewing one of the healers so will be behind.

 

If the healer is out there protecting targets we are far more likely to have the finder in this case be successful.

 

 

 

 

 

on that note, out of both claimants i think barm is evil. He has laid low, deflected suspicion from himself and to be honest i was justing a weird vibe from him yesterday.

Uh, I think Barm was kidding. As in "Vemynal. I am your father. Join me and we will rule the BUBG together...."

 

I could be wrong, but I believe it is a commentary on the latest fad of everybody revealing and counter revealing that seems to have taken over every game.

 

Of course, if he's serious, then all of your analysis will come in handy. ;)
