So, first I'm back peddling?, And now it's weird that I bothered putting a link in the post at all? 🤨

I put the link to that role, because just name dropping it doesn't mean everyone knows what it is. I could have used the name "Tanner", from the One Night Ultimate Werewolf game, but unless you own that you'd have no idea what I'm talking about.

This game is "Campdread fall".

If I played in the 90s action game, I may well have asked what everyone's favorite action movie was.

I may have joked that anyone picking Mission Impossible is definitely a wolf, cause that movie is boring. 😛

Maybe that'll get a reaction from a wolf to jump on a joke votes train. Maybe a wolf will steer clear of that train. There's all kinds of methods to my madness.

 

As I've said before, content is content is content. Once the wheels are greased and primed, then we can start playing real Mafia.

I noted the link being weird to start with I think.  It seemed like too much. And jester is the most common name for the role. At least in the places have played or spectated.

 

Maybe backtrack was the wrong word choice there. My view was it was intended to get the idea of a jester out there to derail your train. 

 

As to your entry, maybe "first" or hello or anything.  Maybe even "I'm town", lolololololol.  My point is that occasionally mafia will have a really awkward entry post. Having the question to answer gives them an easy way in. Others may view it differently (that is often the case) but that's my take.

Yes. I couldn't tell you the game but it has happened. It was somewhat of a slip iirc.

There have been others, but the one I somewhat remember went the one player accidentally put a teammate name in when responding to someone else's post. But yes, awkward phrases and just lack of comfort in small talk openings have gotten mafias lunched.
