To me this is weird. You were following last game so I think you know Darthe's work/home schedule. He was constantly late on deadline things and very spotty in the evenings to even do VCs. I'm not sure of DPR'S schedule but I do know he is a busy guy.

 

Looks like a sketchy reason to shade someone.

Yeah I was working with this being a D1 joke, taken in the context of photoshopping Sinister's wolf garden. But if a serious attempt to cast shade it is really dodgy.

The last line seems to say that you don't really have anyone you are willing to lynch. Only SD is a town lean. Lemme know if I'm wrong in.my assumption. 

 

With regards to me, is that supposed to be a joke? If it is, it shouldn't be the only thing in the post about me. If it isn't, it is either a bad play (taking one person and pre-assigning an alignment to them), or a bad look for trying to utilise preconceived notions (Turin is always wolfy) in order to give shade for no good reason. If I didn't know I was town, I would think you were distancing from a teammate. I'm starting to think you really are just mafia. If it turns out that way, then I think your teammates are possibly SD, and 1 of your clustered 4.

For real though, there's the joke votes which never tell me much of anything except whoever was the one that put a 2nd vote on someone.  A joke excuse but still managing to put a 2nd vote on one which helps at the end of the day phase if no one has done anything particularly scummy.  Makes for an easier train.

 

That's pretty much all that has caught my eye...well and a certain someone starting the game with "I'm town" which only serves to look not town imo

In what world is being willing to proclaim yourself town, anti Town behaviour? Be proud of your towniness I say.

 

This might be longish and will have some game spec aligned talk so spoilering.

This game is closed as far as what roles are in the game. We don't know if there is a cop, or doc, or possibly a lie detector. The last game which was closed setup was Ithi's Hamilton game. I advocated that all townies in that situation should be willing (enthusiastic even) to proclaim themselves town just to make it easier to allow a potential LD to scan whoever they wanted to without drawing attention to themselves. It had the added psychological advantage that mafia would be resistant to do so, and that it might plant the seed in their heads that they had to avoid using directly checkable statements in conversation. There were 2 issues with this plans effectiveness:

1. The confirmed townie couldn't get past that it wasn't a role claim and discarded the idea.  

2. The mafia nearly outnumbered the town so there wasn't sufficient peer pressure.

 

Despite the difficulty the 3 players  I noted as giving the most push back about the plan were ALL MAFIA. Furthermore,  2 of them used the same awkward language I predicted later in the game.

 

In conclusion, the fact that the primary reason is only helpful to town, makes this a viable thing imo whether you believe the second part or not.

The Darthe take fells wrong. I don't know why yet. Gonna have to ponder that.

 

The Tigraine take might be something. Darthe's question about joke phase was to everyone imo. Tigraine said she didn't know and kicked it to Heavy to answer. I need to see if Heavy was active in thread at that time. 

 

If GK is mafia I think his comment on Dice is suspicious.

Why not give it a little more time to see if your plan worked before stating what your purpose was? Your admission of your purpose  lets the non-participants know your plan and they can slide in with excuses, real or other, nullifying your results? 

 

What’s up with all the italics? I was going to wait to ask but since you are explaining things, what is the purpose of over emphasizing so many points?

Dice loved Without a Paddle, and Tigraine enjoyed the bear scene.

 

Turin choose Addams Family Values, where Wednesday sets the Camp Staff on Fire, because they tried to get her group of campers to play the Native Americans in the Thanksgiving Play with the Pilgrims. (Clearly she had valid reasons for doing so)

 

Heavy Choose Hateful Eight / The Abominable Dr. Phibes, two movies I'm not familiar with.

 

DPR choose Friday the 13th (on today, the 13th). The movie about the mother who takes revenge on the Campers who stay at the Camp, because she feels they are all responsible for killing her son.

 

Darthe choose Cabin in the woods, and if you go with GK's interpretation of the events that have unfolded, then Darthe has infact, Chris Hemsworthed it into that wall. Lmao

 

Everyone else either hasn't choose a movie, or refused to choose one because they don't watch "horror movies", even though I gave everyone an out by picking any movie of any genre that takes place at a camp, or the woods.

 

IMO not answering participating says more then participating.

 

Participating, may or may not give me some indication about what your surface thoughts are regarding the game.. It may mean nothing at all.

 

It is day 1 after all. Aside from Claims, and some other random stuff, who people vote for, is probably going to get us more information for D2 then anything else.

The DPR comment is good observation also, sadly he got DPR'S drink wrong. DPR said he was having a martini, which is either gin or vodka.

 

The other thing that sort of has me questioning is that there was a lot of extraneous conversation but tis early so I will see how that plays out going forward.

I slept on it and still think this is conceptually wrong enough to be wolf motivation.  Words have definitions.  A 3 player WTL is a different thing than a reads list.  EP getting instantly salty about the distinction is a wolf trying to sell a line.  These two questions above are somehow worse.  vote: SD

Tbh this seemed jokey to me, and I see where it was followed up on.  No one would out themselves on page 10 over a thing like this.  Hell, the only reason I think EPs or SDs posts are real is because EP has the subtlety and rust of an axe left in the stump and SD is trying to jump on any WIFOM he can find.
