Bear in mind that a messenger writes the message - it comes from the mod so that the sender is unknown, but the mod just copies & pastes (typically).

I don't know. That's the my problem.  Yes, it isn't my first game, but I don't know that I have ever played a game with an informant.  

 

I can't quote PMs, but I asked the mod to clarify and she said that the message came from the Town Informant, not her.  So I just assumed that meant he was clear, which has affected my view of CassTurin, his reads, and the game.

 

I hadn't thought of another mafia messenger.

*to me* the difference is between:

 

“This message is from Turin”  - no alignment mentioned by mod, and anything inside the message is purely from the player that sent it. 
 

or

 

”This message is from Turin, Town Messenger” - this would indicate a mod-cleared townie.

the mod has posted very clear rules and Key is not trying to break the game, so I’m really quite positive she’s able to divulge whatever was in the message at her discretion.

Of course the actual Cop would know this, and whoever that might be is highly encouraged to NOT out themselves.

Okay, it said you have received a letter from the town informant, then some flavor text re: Hamilton and then a statement that was likely the actual message sent which was along the lines that CassTurin was town informant and was peeking Hallia and requested a 'Burn' reference in the game to show I received the message.

 

So I asked for clarification and she said it came from the town informant not her.  Again, I assumed that since this wasn't a bastard game that meant he was actually town informant.

 

Like you said, I don't want to break the game. I'm not at all trying to do that.
