Once Key and DPR were NK'd you had no protection but Town had lost. It was a battle between the two mafia factions. You cannot be mad at people for playing the game, with talent and fairly. NKing you after that point would have lost the game for either mafia faction.

Not necessarily.  It depends on the doc. Some will try to run the odds.  Some straight up protect the biggest townie power thats know, others will leave them unprotected running the odds that the mafia will assume they are protected.

 

What the role is matters too.  You protect a cop for eg but maybe not a vanilla.

3p is NOT Town. They can win WITH town or WITH mafia. or on their own even. But they are not Town. Or Mafia. they are seperate.

 

Hardest thing for 3p is hiding that they ARE 3p. Many players instalynch them as soon as that is known. Because they could be Survivor, Serial Killer (SK) or even Cult. There is NO trust though i have seen a known 3p live and win with Town because they had been just SOOOO Towny all game

In the one I played I deliberately kept Macdougall alive with me until F3 and got him mislynched while he impotently spammed angry people faces.

We were confident about another faction because we only had every other nights NK.  I didn’t think it was a wolf team at first, but we were legitimately hunting D1.

Don’t wanna quote the whole ithi post but mafia styles really are fascinating.  I hardly use vote patterns at all, and I thought Turins arguments about the setup were pretty valid.  We were doing something similar in the wolf chat.

Fwiw there was a point where I messaged ithi saying something like “I told Gud there are two wolf teams but I don’t think there are but I want her to hunt for wolves” or etc.  there was definitely a good half of d1 where we were also on that side of it 🙂 it was good to be in a closed setup again

Internally I would’ve thought more like 25% town and would’ve moved ~8% of that 10% taken from above over to the Brit’s.  Starting with an extra person over us is huge, and 11p is small.  Power set was a touch better for us, but too unreliable to be a big advantage.  Town odds bet a lot better the more we kill each other and the earlier the town lynches a wolf.

 

Of course…  the modkill and the D1 mislynch were pretty rough, and that we shot two townies on our night… that’s about as bad as it could go.  There’s a scenario in which town gets an extra day in this round via the roleblock and no modkill, in which case they’d auto win the way the game played out.
