I said this not so much because Zander said I was stupid directly, more that you quoted my message with verbal clear ffs as if I didn't know. I do know. I do understand. I'm saying much earlier I thought he was one of three people among whom I thought at least one was scum. If he wasn't an uncc'ed vig I still would think that tbh based on his play for what it's worth

If someone plays Mafia and can't take a bit or responsibility and criticism then I don't know what to tell you.  Its been stated it's a part as long as its not personal.  It's part of a game where you have to accuse people of lying or telling the truth.

 

I've never once personally insulted the person only the performance of the play.  Like a coach or a teammate does in any sports game.

 

Either way don't worry about it.  I'm done and won't sign up again.  Like can't understand why someone might get frustrated you'll at least see when I flip Town.

 

But never once did I indult anyones person.  People criticize me and my game all the time and I never said anything or complained, it's a part of the game especially between the players who've played together before we may get frustrated or flustered but it's never personal.

I'd like to apologise for my outburst last night. I have found this game very frustrating, to the point of seriously considering quitting but decided to see if not posting would help. Perhaps trying to keep with reading was a bad idea. 

 

My frustrations have not been about people finding me suspicious, or about people not agreeing with my reads but the feeling of being completely ignored. Perhaps I am tapping into my own paranoia, but I feel completely excluded from trying to solve the game. This may be because my reads were completely rubbish and illogical, but they were my attempts at playing the game. It has really felt that as a new player, I have been nearly completely excluded from the game. The idea that inexperienced players are synonymous with incompetent players seems to permeate the chat. The idea that a new player couldn't be a wolf without literally typing I am a wolf by mistake. A player told me that I was either a wolf or bad, so obviously not worth concerning themselves with in either case. 

 

I don't know to what extent these frustrations come from my own sense of inadequacy, but dealing with them has been a struggle without snapping back at people. Hence why I tried to stop posting but sadly failed. 

 

It seems that town is struggling this game, but I don't know if that has to be a bad thing. It is just a game. I must admit while I have my suspicions I have very little certainty and that is why I'm trying to work through them and why it is so frustrating that no one appears to take seriously anything I post as it does nothing to help those uncertainties. 

 

Seeing as I am one of the leading lunch candidates, I'd happily try to resolve any suspicious feelings anyone has of me. Honestly just like last game, I have zero idea why I'm everyone's most suspicious player. Sorry for the wall of text, I just wanted to apologise for contributing to the negative atmosphere and try to explain where I was coming from, especially as I can do it at this point without personal insults and expletives.

Why? He claimed in a manner that seems consistent with the role as I understand it. This is a DL game with 2+ days to go at that time. Many people had not been in to reply to his claim. If someone CC's him then we have something to work with. I'm a little shocked by what happened with the claim as I feel if Zander is town it was an opportunity lost to slow play the claim and see who would try to slide on for "reasons". We had loads of time. 

 

I guess Z just got really frustrated. Certainly no hard feelings on my part. I hope he makes his way back cause the game is funner with his crazy spammy self.

I was there first for competing trains. I did think both are mafia (RTE still) so I was good with either of them. Now, it seems he is the new watcher so therefore town.

This game can be frustrating when it feels like you aren't being listened to. For what it's worth, I think your town and one of the reasons is I feel you have been trying to solve. My impression is that your delivery of your why is sometimes hard to follow. Other times it is perfectly understandable. At those times I am pretty certain that your town and trying.

This game can be hard. Sometimes we struggle to sort out who's who. Sometimes,  like last game it seems to fall right into place perfectly.

Side note: that last game despite being a town sweep could gave gone so much differently with a few minor twists. It was really hanging by a thread. Your zen comments really helped me realign my thoughts which in turn really helped us win.

What I'm trying to say is don't beat yourself up too.much about letting it get to you. If you feel your going to a bad place, just step away for a minute, a few hours, even a day, venter yourself and then reengage. Heck, even Maverick had to recenter before he could deal with those enemy fighters.  

If you need a "talk to me Goose" moment, take it.

I dont think its a case of people excluding you. Its probably more that they dont know know how to read you yet and you are posting in a way they arnt used to.

 

Get used to being ignored. I laughed for real when RTE called me an experienced and strong town leader type. Cause people dont listen to me. I can make a case, be absolutely dead on and unless someone else makes a case on the same person what im pushing wont happen.

 

The other side of it happens. People listen to the charismatic proven players, even when they shouldn't. 

Remember last game I said about lynching someone for posting they were scum with their very first post? It took me FOUR DAYS and they only did it when there was a cop view on him. And I was an unclaimed Doc and blocked FIVE shots that game. Why didnt they listen to me? Cause Tom was a good player and charismatic. People would follow his lead. Despite the fact that EVERY time he was scum I was on him from Day two on.

 

Thats just how it is. Only way to fix it is keep playing, so you get better and the others get to figure you out, or think they have anyways 😄  

 

Dont let it get at you, its just a game and not worth the ulcer.
