A New Beginnings is set in an Alternate Universe and is not associated with the characters from the books. This, of course, means that we don't allow references to or recreations of those characters. There will be no canon characters from the books allowed in the game - largely to build our own story towards the Final Battle with our characters as starring roles instead of the book characters.

 

We have a Modified Timeline^{(see History)}. You should use this as a point of reference, rather than relying on the knowledge taken exclusively from the books. Just check over to the side and you'll find a handy link to tag you right over to it. If you aren't sure or just want to check, please do ask the STAFF who are always more than happy to help out and provide any further information you may need to explain fully.

 

As a whole we consider ourselves to be a creative, enthusiastic, and very dedicated group of roleplayers committed to character development and storytelling, with a side of world-building thrown in for good measure for those who might be interested.

RULES

 

1. All Members of Dragonmount are required to Read and Abide by our Code of Conduct. 
2. Our Community Rating is 13+ so all stories within must adhere to PG-13 content, however, if you are unsure about the content you are welcome to connect with staff and ask about exceptions or alternatives.
   • Mature Content, at the very least, must be hidden or have [ M ] listed in the title of the thread to denote its contents.
   • Additional triggers should also be listed at the beginning of a thread and/or post for more sensitive readers/players. 
3. Characters from the books or shows are not allowed. All characters must be your creations.
4. All roleplay is conducted in the third-person point-of-view. Please look this up if you do not know the difference between first-person and third-person POV. (WoT, LotR, and Harry Potter are all examples of books written in the third person perspective).
5. We are ONLY accepting NEW characters into New Beginnings.
   • EXCEPTION: The older RP, also known as the Legacy RP, has an ongoing story that has been RPed for over 20 years and we welcome back older characters. However, we are not organizing roles or anything that plays into a Main Storyline. Consider this the "sunset" aspect of the Legacy RP, closing out old stories or transitioning to the new. Please do make sure that if you're part of this group, contact mods here and keep in mind our organization is going to be VERY different than the Legacy RP.
