Concerned mainly. She was pretty active early on last game and considering she was the one who asked for me to be summoned I assumed it meant she was eager to play. The fact that she hasn't even checked in yet concerns me both for her as a person and what it could be as an alignment. Until she checks in it doesn't really mean anything though. Can't read what isn't there.

Wow,  the groupthink in this thread is ridiculous. None of you see it as a little odd that everyone seems to be jumping up and down saying that what Liz and I have done are scummy? I find it hard to believe that you are all town and really truly can't see the problem with everyone but Liz and I saying that what we've said is scummy. Definitely leaning town on Seph and Cuth right now, but I'm questioning some of you who have come, in this morning and are so easily going with the general consensus of the thread. Incredibly concerned that Tinker doesn't seem to think there's anything of value in the thread right now.

Cliff note version, make of it what you will: Liz and I placed a joke vote on Dice and it blew up out of control many of the conversations we've had with people made them start going after us for being scum (we're not) so we've been on the defense all day phase. Liz was trying to expand everyone's thoughts and ask people to open their minds and really think about it and asked who would our scum partners be. So now that's apparently the scummiest thing ever. I spent a large chunk of last night trying to reason with those who were on because they were expecting us to find scum, when it's kind of hard to get things done when you're constantly having to defend yourself. Cuth, Seph, and Eldrick gave us a courtesy unvote, we unvoted Dice. Came back this morning to people who hadn't been around a ton yesterday agreeing that we're scummy. It just seems odd that no one has a problem with a large part of the game thinking this is scummy. It's like they're just going after the easiest thing to lynch in the thread.

 

 

Now that I'm caught up I'd say it was poorly played...don't see scum making this play...unless you're the type to wag it in our face.  Ugh.  Are you that type?  Unfortunately, the comment has garnered the attention of our town and your flip may prove useful to sorting out the others.  Still prefer to lynch Eldrick instead, so there's that going for you.  Where is your current vote?  Still on Dice?

I'm kind of null on you at the moment. Things are happening really fast and I haven't time to really dissect anything in my normal nerd fashion of word docs and spreadsheets.

Cuth, I feel like he's looking a bit better. He's getting around to answering questions. I'm really big on why answers, and the fact that he's answering them makes me feel okay about his posts. 

Darthe, I think he's stringing us up for lynch bait because he thinks he can. I don't really think it's alignment indicative for him, because of the games I've played with him I feel like he just does things to amuse himself.

What I was trying to say about Cuth was that he's giving his whys and not just this is town or this is scum. I like being able to understand people's train of thought, regardless of if I agree with it or not. 

 

I should probably apologize in advance then lol. With recent discussions I hope we can get more people involved at least. If you all are town, I really need you to find some wolves because at the moment, your the best option imo.

 

 

What do you think we're doing? The questions we're asking are so people will actually seriously interact on D1. Finding scum isn't going to happen in the first how many hours of the game, usually. But we're trying to ask questions and see how people can respond so we can figure out for sure who is scum and who is not. 

 

I get asking questions. anyone can do it, and depending on thread flow a wolf can even lead the direction of the thread. I really stopped trying to town read people over that, and focus on the opinions they are forming.  I am curious about what you all thing about each individual person, and at the moment who you think is a better lynch besides you and liz. Tbh I don't remember anything scummy from you, but you haven't gave me anything protown. If i missed something i apologize and i promise to look out for you in my reread.

The other thing that makes your complaint invalid is that I specifically asked you questions about your perception of my vote on Dice and Mrs. Clov's concerns about Darthe and you never actually answered those (unless I missed that somewhere). Can you accept that people play differently? Not everything is black and white and not every person who is town is going to follow a certain guideline, nor is someone who is scum. Just because you don't feel something should be done in a game as town, doesn't mean that everyone's going to feel that way. Liz and I are doing things that are going to try to get us intel, and we play for the long game not just a quick lynch on D1 and hope it's scum. So by saying who do you think is our scum team we can look at that person and figure out if we agree or disagree. I get what you all are saying about cases I really do. But how can we case anyone when you all are attacking us and not even giving us a chance. We've been on defense all day, and it's kind of hard to switch to offense when every other post we have to defend ourselves because someone doesn't agree with our playstyle.

@liz can't that lead to misguided goals? asking to find to figure out your partners when you are actually indeed town, forces us to try to tie players to you who actually would never have any. That gives us misguided views of others in the thread and can potentially hurt the town. There are other questions that would work better imo. But I think finding them yourselves and making a case is better because asking us seems like your trying to find a out? if that makes sense. 

Kinda like I wonder who else they don't like so I can get someone lynched besides me. It's a tough spot obviously, and I am trying to not let my opinion of new posts be skewed by my vote. But I think casing someone will work more in your favor if you are town. If you get lynched and are town, it at least gives us a better chance at finding the actual scum.

I don't slip as scum. When I play scum I'm extremely meticulous and I'm careful about what I say.

And I've already stated that I've made the same statement as town on more than one occasion, which makes it a null at best.

Darthe is giving a bunch of people easy town reads. Not sure I like it. However, him coming out with a claim off the bat like that is as null as it gets. 

 

Liz and MrsClov not reacting that well to the pressure imo. 

 

Dice getting a few people town reading him easily this game. Will yell at me for not getting it.

Usually with Eldrick, I feel like he's very wordy, but I can follow where his train of thought is going.  This time, it almost feels to me like he's using his powers for evil?  Like...distracting the thread?  I dunno how to verbalize it exactly, but it feels off to me.

 

I'll take it into consideration. To be fair my catchup reading was fairly quick, and mostly just so I had seen everything once.

I'm with Seph here, I have Derf as town as well.

Reads list, in no particular order.

 

Cass - Town. She's doing a good job of pushing the game forward. Asking good questions. I liked her response to my town read of her too. Felt genuine, that she's not used to it.

 

Darthe - Light Town. More aggressive than I'm used to seeing. Willing to attribute that to town for now.

 

Cuth - Null. Still have that nagging feeling that there was a reason for a scum read, but haven't reread to find it. Have liked his recent content, though. His push on Lizclov makes a lot of sense. Don't see them as w/w.

 

Lizclov - Scum. For the asking who her teammates would be. Still don't see how it could be a town move before there are scum flips to link to. Any information gathered from this would be misleading if they were town. Even if the linked person was indeed scum, them flipping town would make the link void, and could even form doubt about the other being scum.

 

 

I don't remember enough about anyone else to have a read. Noone else has done anything to make me suspect them, but they haven't done anything super towny either.

 

Except NotBob. Not checking in is obviously scummy :P

I don't remember enough. Memory is fickle. I tend to end up focusing on a few people at first.

 

Eldrick is pinging like crazy to me up to this point. He feels off.

You're going to have to explain to me how he's more "off" now than in any other game. I haven't seen anything conclusive at this point.

There it is. Hallia's probably town. I feel pretty confident in my ability to read Hallia. I've come to expect posts like this from her town game. It goes beyond her just quoting stuff and making comments about how it's in her town/scum pile. It feels genuine to me.

To add to my previous post on Hallia. I also liked some of the questions in her catch up. It was making me feel good about it but I was waiting for a reasoning post to sweep me off my feet.
