  1. Well it has been said to take the show as another turning of the wheel. Mostly the same events with some different Details? And how are the characters completely different? Perrin is still a large man who his dealing with some serious issues with the nature of violence. Rand is still a love sick sap who is destined to destroy/save the world. Mat is still a character who struggles with doing the right thing verses the easy thing. There are details of their characters that are different but the characters themselves are largely the same.
  2. I would say that situation that Perrin and Laila have in the show actually makes alot of sense when compared to the books. In the books the Boys leave EF when they are late 18 early 19, in the show they leave when they are 20. Perrin remarks that if he had stayed in EF he would have likely married Laila. Well considering they stay an extra year+ the events turned out as Perrin had speculated. Even Laila's switch from farm wife to Blacksmith can logically follow that way of thinking. Getting together with Perrin allowed her to learn a new trade.
  3. Why send dozens of Trollocs to attack 2 farmers? Especially when they have 4 others they need to grab in a Village full of people.
  4. He is a blademaster that hasn't picked up the sword in 20 years. He holds his own better than most of the TR folk but then loses in close quarters. That seems fairly reasonable.
  5. Well said, I understand the fatigue that sets in when you feel you have to respond to these same sets of questions every few months. It does take its toll. Thank you for the well articulated responses.
  6. They are certainly merging storylines from book 2 and 3. I imagine storylines from both will be cut or moved around. I personally don't think we will get Callandor or tear until season 4. Others think we will get it in the back half of season 2.
  7. On the Dusty Wheel livestream Sarah Nakamura wouldn't comment on people's guesses as to whom it wass but did say it was not Tuon. My assumption is Suroth and Fares Fares will be taking the place of Fain as Fain will be integrating himself with the Whitecloaks.
  8. 8 episodes for season 2 and 3 are confirmed. Season 4 and beyond are the ones at risk. I cannot speak as to why this list is missing episodes but we don't fully know how they are catalogued aside from the date the scripts were submitted.
  9. This was my original theory, which would have made the arguement in episode 7(in my opinion) a little clever. Having Perrin be bi wouldn't really affect the story going forward. But someone on these forms pointed it out to me that during the Machin Shin scene Perrin hears "You killed your wife because you loved another woman". But as we often do with these books I just made it my own head cannon.
  10. Oh wow, what a still! She absolutely looks the part.
  11. Rafe did say the Wigs ended up being a surprising over cost.
  12. As much as I love the show I will certainly say Amazon has dropped the ball when it comes to marketing and merchandise. It is kind of embarrassing at this point. Please keep us updated on your purchase journey.
  13. Saw the latest video from Lezbi Nerdy and it seems the youtube creators have created a WoT Hype Train Tag. Thought it would be great to give our answers here. The questions in question; Wheel of Time Hype Train Tag Questions: What is your favourite episode from season one? Who is your favourite character from season one? What is your favourite piece of dialogue from season one? Which character did you end up loving that you didn't expect to love so much? Who had the best outfit in season one? Who portrayed their character the best and why? Tell us about a moment that unexpectedly made you laugh or cry in season one? What moment was the best homage to the books? Aside from Blood Snow, what was your favourite Cold Open? What was the best moment in the BTS footage of season two? Which new actor are you most excited to see on screen? Ceara, Donal, or Ayoola? My Answers; Episode 4, the entire episode was just amazing for me. And as a fan of the books I was in complete shock when Lan was lying on the floor bleeding out. I kinda love that the show can throw a veteran reader some curveballs. Lan, this surprised me quite a bit. I am a bit neutral on Lan in the books, yeah he is a badass with layers but Daniel was able to emote sooooooooo much of it, so well, on screen. Ila's speech to Perrin, Man did this do the job of re-texturing the Tinkers philosophy for me. Padan Fain, Johan Meyers performance is just magnificent in the little we get. I am looking forward to see where they take him in season 2. Nynaeve's and Agelmar's. I just love all the details in Nyaneve's outfit throughout season 1. The Green coat is just wonderful and the hints with Green overlapping yellow is just lovely. Agelmars outfit is just gorgeous when you get to the details. Love the black hawk motif as well. Daniel Henney and Madeleine Madden, nuf said Ila's speech, Major tears showed up when I didn't ever really care about the tinkers. I really hope they bring her back for season 3. Weep for Manetheran. Was so happy to see some version of this in the show. I was certain it would be cut because long monologues never seem to make it in adapations. Episode 2 - The Whitecloaks introduction. Valda is just soooooo freaking menacing while keeping a creepy, calm demeanour. I also love that the Whitecloaks are actually competent and pose an actual threat(aside from threatening farmers) Listening to director Ciaran Donnelly geek out about the Bolt Camera used for the Blood Snow scene. Ayoola, Just excited to see Aiel and see some Aveindha sass. And a link to the original Lezbi Nerdy video I referenced.
