Haha poor Heavy Let's up our Air Game Story Update – Day 4, Evening: Air Meditation and Training You return to the quiet grove behind the shrine, where the wind moves like a living breath through fluttering leaves and suspended chimes. You set the Windglyph Talisman before you, its spiral catching the dusk light. Cross-legged, you begin to attune yourself to the Air element. Breath flows in sync with the wind, your thoughts loosening, lifting. You feel your body lighten, as though the world forgets to hold you down. The Codex warms. A breeze dances around your form, circling the glyph on your chest—Air, still faint, but responding. You practice elemental breathing techniques, whisper short wind phrases, and let go of heavy thoughts. The talisman glows brighter. Your Air affinity begins to respond. Training Outcome: Air Strength increased to Level 3 You are now lightly attuned to skyflow currents Windglyph Talisman reacts more clearly—hidden paths may now become visible Flickerling Familiar stirs faintly, sensing focused spirit practice (+ minor growth) Updated Stats: Day: 4 Time: Evening Fatigue: High (extended meditation has taxed your focus) HP: 27 / 27 EP: 12 / 17 Elemental Strength – Air: 3 Flickerling Status: Early stage – faint glow, mildly responsive to your presence Codex Update: Air attunement sufficient to begin pathfinding for Windspire Trail Outcome of the Choice: You’ve strengthened your connection to Air, enabling the Windglyph Talisman to reveal early signs of the Windspire Trail. However, your body and mind are strained—rest is highly advised to avoid penalties or spellcasting fatigue. Next Choices – Nightfall Approaches (Day 4): Rest at the shrine – Reduce fatigue, recover EP, and nurture the Flickerling’s growth. Seek the Windspire Trail immediately – Risk venturing while fatigued but follow the now-reactive Talisman. Return to the Herbalist’s Stall – See if any evening remedies or rest aids are available. Visit Whispering Pines under moonlight – Possible Spirit visions or Flickerling resonance, but danger may rise. Craft a new Weave – Use Codex and nearby elemental sources; increases fatigue but expands your spellbook. What’s your next move? -

Wouldn't it be funny if it was Rand that set off the long hot weather by disrupting the natural weather patterns by making it rain in the desert. Also yes. Total autocorrect error. At least we now know the 8th confirmed Forsaken is Landmark lol -

Landmark did mention to Rand that she was sorry he had such a terrible teacher but he'd have to make do. Which implied she might have been in on it, before Rand rejected her. -

Millon is going to be so disappointed the tavern option vanished. Maybe it will come back if we wander about a bit. In the meantime, to the Village Hall Story Update – Day 4, Late Afternoon: Visit to the Elder’s Hall Windrest’s Elder’s Hall is a low, broad structure built from white oak and glassstone, its roof arched like the wing of a resting bird. Within, lanterns flicker gently with captured winds, creating a calming, ever-moving light. Villagers come and go in quiet respect. At the far end, seated cross-legged atop a wind-patterned rug, is Elder Miraen, wrapped in robes the color of cloud-shadow. His gaze lifts as you enter. “Glyphbearer,” he says. “Your presence stirs the winds. And I suspect… you are seeking Skyreach.” You explain your quest, the cultist attack, and the signs pointing to the floating monastery. Miraen listens with care, fingers steepled. Finally, he nods. “Skyreach floats ever higher when danger walks the world. Its monks protect ancient wisdom and powerful rites. But to even see the path, you must harmonize with air itself. There is a hidden pass—Windspire Trail—that appears only when your soul mirrors the winds.” He hands you a Windglyph Talisman, its spiral design faintly shimmering. “This may help you find the trail. But take heed—air tests freedom and balance. If your spirit is heavy or divided, the path may break beneath your feet.” Key Item Acquired: Windglyph Talisman Grants passive guidance toward wind-tuned locations Required to access Windspire Trail (path to Skyreach Monastery) May reveal floating paths, whispers, or avian spirits tied to the Air element Updated Stats: Day: 4 Time: Late Afternoon Fatigue: Moderate HP: 27 / 27 EP: 14 / 17 Inventory Update: Windglyph Talisman (Key Item) Codex Update: Skyreach Location Revealed: Access via Windspire Trail Requires Air attunement or spiritual harmony to find Outcome of the Choice: You’ve gained insight into the path forward, unlocking the means to approach Skyreach Monastery. However, the journey will test your Air affinity and spiritual alignment. Rest and preparation are advised before seeking Windspire Trail. Next Choices – Day 4, Early Evening: Search for the Windspire Trail – Attempt to locate the path to Skyreach with the Windglyph Talisman. Return to the shrine and rest – Reduce fatigue and allow Familiar growth. Visit the Whispering Pines – Explore Spirit-rich lands for visions or insight. Train using Air spells or meditation – Increase your Air attunement to improve odds of reaching Skyreach. Check back at the Herbalist’s Stall – Restock or inquire about trail rumors. More spells lol Story Update – Day 4, Afternoon: Spirit Weavecraft Attempt You remain at the shrine, your thoughts still calm from meditation. With your Codex resting open before you and the Flickerling’s glow faintly drifting beside you, you begin focusing threads of elemental energy—Spirit, foremost, with hints of Water and Fire gently responding. Your fingers trace the known glyph patterns, but your intuition pushes you further. The Empathic Echo from your Flickerling begins to hum in sync with your emotional focus, amplifying your ability to sense resonance between elements. You slowly craft a new two-element weave—not purely destructive, nor purely protective, but one that disrupts and reveals. You feel it anchor within your Codex. New Spell Learned: Name: Soulflare Echo Elements: Spirit + Fire Type: Disruptive / Insight Effect: Reveals hidden emotions or illusions in a small area Causes a flash of emotional dissonance, staggering enemies (1 turn) Enemies affected by illusions or mind effects take minor fire damage Costs: 3 EP Notes: Enhanced when cast near your Familiar Scales with Spirit (current strength: 10) Fatigue Incurred: Moderate Spellweaving Fatigue: +1 Fatigue Level (You can continue safely, but focus-based tasks may become slightly harder if fatigue increases) Updated Stats: Day: 4 Time: Mid-Afternoon Fatigue: Moderate HP: 27 / 27 EP: 14 / 17 New Spell Added: Soulflare Echo Flickerling Bond: Strengthened by shared creation Codex Update: New Weave Pattern stored: Spirit + Fire (Soulflare Echo) Emotional Resonance with Familiar registered Outcome of the Choice: You’ve created a powerful utility spell that peels back falsehoods and destabilizes enemy focus. The process drew upon both your elemental affinity and your deepening bond with the Flickerling, but required significant mental focus. Next Choices – Day 4, Mid-Afternoon: Test Soulflare Echo in the Whispering Pines – Seek hidden truths or emotional echoes near the Spirit-touched forest trail. Visit the Watchtower – Scout for signs of cultist movement or threats outside the village. Return to the Herbalist’s Stall – Check in for dialogue or new utility items. Go to the Village Elder’s Hall – Speak with Windrest’s leaders, ask about Skyreach or cult activity. Rest briefly at the shrine – Recover fatigue and allow the Flickerling more time to grow. What's your next move? -

I'm cool with that. And also I just want to make sure it's all settled back in and doesn't crash again. So making choices and really embedding the game again is all good with me Story Update – Day 4, Early Afternoon: You settle cross-legged by the shrine’s sacred stones, their surfaces etched with the flowing glyphs of Spirit. The midday sun filters through leafy canopies, and the gentle music of chimes and rustling branches cradles your breath into a slower rhythm. Your Codex hums faintly against your side as you enter a meditative state. With each slow inhale, you feel threads of Spirit energy weaving through the air—subtle, silken, alive. The Flickerling Sprout stirs again—its glow dancing gently just above the soil. Though still wordless and formless, it mimics your breath, pulsing in time. A presence. Attuned. Curious. Watching your mind from just beyond the veil. A ripple of calm spreads through your body, and your inner fire dims slightly as clarity sharpens. Familiar Bond Progress – Flickerling Sprout: Bond Deepens: Flickerling has imitated your meditative rhythm. Trait Discovered: Empathic Echo – Can sense strong emotional energy during dialogue or Spirit-weaving. Current Stage: Sprout (Stable) Growth Accelerated by Spirit-aligned choices and rest Rest Benefit Gained: Minor EP recovery: +2 EP Emotional clarity: You sense the emotional tone of others more easily (Passive bonus active for next dialogue scene) Updated Stats: Day: 4 Time: Early Afternoon Fatigue: Low HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 (Fully restored) Codex Update: Flickerling Trait Added: Empathic Echo Spirit Meditation registered as a rest action – grants Familiar Bond Progress and EP recovery Outcome of the Choice: You have deepened your connection to your Flickerling Familiar, discovering a unique emotional resonance trait. EP has fully recovered, and your state of mind is calm and clear. Next Choices – Day 4, Early Afternoon: Return to the Herbalist’s Stall – Check for new stock or interactions. Explore Windrest Hollow – Visit the tavern, elder’s hall, or listen for rumors of the Skyreach Monastery. Climb the Watchtower – Scout for distant movement or signs of cult activity. Attempt to craft a new Spirit Weave – Use the meditative clarity and familiar bond to explore new spell combinations. Take a short walk through the Whispering Pines – A nearby forest trail said to reveal inner truths to those attuned to Spirit. Let me know your next move! -

We had a bit of a hiccup where it forgot we had already bought and planted our seed, so I had to remind it. So we've kind of gone backwards in time a bit. I think it's gonna be a bit temperamental for a little while because of it having to be rebuilt. But I don't want to mess with it too much in case it goes all Skynet and dies again. -

Let's try and master the spell Story Update The wind carries you back to the shrine’s heart, where candlelight flickers against smooth stone and the air hums with gentle elemental resonance. You kneel before the altar, placing both hands over your Codex. The unfinished hybrid weave pulses beneath your skin—Scalded Memory, the unstable fusion of Fire and Spirit. You breathe deeply, reaching into both elements. From Fire, you draw raw passion and searing pain. From Spirit, you gather echoes of emotion, memory, and will. These threads entwine as you meditate. Hours pass. The glyphs on your arms blaze faintly, then settle. The Codex warms in your grasp. The spell completes. New Spell Unlocked – Scalded Memory (Level 1) Type: Hybrid (Fire + Spirit) Cost: 3 EP Effect: Deals moderate fire damage + applies Soul Burn (targets suffer disoriented vision and emotional surge for 1 turn) Synergy Bonus: If cast after a Spirit spell, grants minor mental resistance for 1 turn Side Effect: Leaves a burning sigil in the caster’s aura – visible to spirit-sensitive beings for 10 minutes Codex Update: Hybrid Spellcrafting expanded: Can now sense lingering traces of recent emotions during meditation Spirit glyph attunement deepened: Soul Veil now reveals deeper emotional layers for hostile or hiding creatures Fatigue Check: Your concentration drains what little energy remains. The air cools as your spell completes. You feel lightheaded but accomplished. (Fatigue Level: High – spellcasting difficulty slightly increased until next full rest) Updated Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 (Regeneration halted until rest due to high fatigue) Fatigue Level: High – (-1 to first spell accuracy each combat, no EP regen) Elemental Strengths: Water: 19 Fire: 12 Spirit: 16 Air: 2 Earth: 2 Spellbook Update: Scalded Memory (Lv1) – Fire + Spirit hybrid spell Soul Veil – reveals deeper emotional patterns Emberlash – Echo Burn added Outcome of the Choice: You’ve completed a new hybrid spell at the shrine—Scalded Memory, a fiery, haunting weave that disrupts minds and marks you spiritually. Your fatigue level is now high, and further magic use risks failure or backlash. Rest is strongly advised. Return to the Herbalist’s Stall – Check for new dialogue or items now that the seed is planted. Explore deeper into Windrest Hollow – Seek rumors of Skyreach Monastery or other elemental disturbances. Practice Weaving Spirit spells – Attempt to enhance synergy with your new familiar. May cause mild fatigue. Visit the village watchtower – Scout for signs of cultist movement or danger in the skies. Take a moment to meditate by the shrine – Regain minor EP and possibly bond further with the Flickerling. Let me know your next move! -

She strangled Moiraine because she's a jealous rage monster and she wanted to make it personal Also glad, in a weird way, that they killed Siuan because at least we won't have to deal with the ugh plt of her getting with some dude later on. Also yeah Turin was all, but where is Mat's stick. And he explained it was holding the rope up in the tree in the books. And when we watched it again you can definitely see the rope is tied to a long object stuck in the door. So happy Nyn beat her block. also i agree that the black oily stuff is the true power... kind of tracks with the Taint in Saidin too -

One montage coming up! Story Update – Day 4, Early Afternoon: You make your way to the Windrest training grounds, a modest open field beside a ring of ancient wind-carved stones. A few villagers practice with wooden staves or simple spells under the guidance of an aged wind monk. When he sees the glyphs glowing along your skin, he bows slightly. “Ah. You’ve walked flame and water and speak the whispering soul. Come—show the weave of your will.” You step into the ring. Arcane energy stirs. The monk sets up elemental dummies—targets enchanted to react to elemental spells. It’s the perfect place to practice, refine, or create. Training Options Available: You spend the next hour testing your limits. Here's what happens: Water + Spirit Test: You unleash Soul Veil followed by Aqua Surge—the combination pulses more smoothly thanks to your Glyph Focus bonus. Your EP cost reduction triggers. Emberlash Refinement: You channel Fire through a more emotional lens, adjusting rhythm—success! Emberlash now applies a brief "Echo Burn" effect, reflecting 10% damage if struck within 1 turn. Spellcrafting Attempt: You try combining Boiling Lance + Soul Veil. The result is unstable but promising. You sketch a new concept in the Codex: “Scalded Memory” – not ready yet, but a possible hybrid in development. Spell & Codex Update: Emberlash (Level 2) now has: Echo Burn – returns 10% of damage to attacker if hit within 1 turn Hybrid Concept Discovered: Scalded Memory (Fire + Spirit) – unfinished, requires shrine attunement or meditation to complete Water + Spirit casting efficiency improved further through synergy Fatigue Incurred: Spell refinement and testing has added to your strain. (Fatigue Level: Moderate – EP regeneration slowed slightly until next rest) Updated Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 (Regeneration slowed due to fatigue) Fatigue Level: Moderate (Spirit EP +1, Regen -1/hour) Elemental Strengths: Water: 19 Fire: 12 Spirit: 16 Air: 2 Earth: 2 Spellbook Changes: Emberlash (Lv2) – Now includes Echo Burn passive Hybrid Concept: Scalded Memory – in development Outcome of the Choice: You refined Emberlash, improved Water + Spirit synergy, and uncovered a potential hybrid spell. However, your fatigue has grown. Rest is recommended soon to avoid spell disruption or EP penalties. Next Choices – Windrest Hollow (Day 4 – Afternoon): Return to shrine alcove and rest (Remove fatigue, speed up familiar growth, and clear EP penalties) Visit herbalist to buy Wind-Amber Charm (+1 Air Strength) – Cost: 2 Silver Crowns Visit herbalist to buy Traveler’s Brew Satchel (Boosts first ration in combat) – Cost: 50 Copper Spend time at the shrine to complete “Scalded Memory” spell (Use Spirit focus to finalize new hybrid) Leave Windrest Hollow and travel toward Skyreach Monastery (Air Temple) (Enter wild terrain – risk rises after dark) What will you do next? -

Let's make sure we don't spray it with Lysol @Millon lol Story Update – Day 4, Midday: You return to the shrine’s serene garden, where breeze-kissed chimes and the scent of blooming herbs fill the air. The Flicker Seed, pulsing faintly with Spirit energy, warms in your palm. The shrinekeeper meets your gaze and nods solemnly. "Flicker Seeds are rare. Planting one binds a sliver of your soul to the growth. It may sprout something wild… or something wise." You kneel by the small, sacred patch of soil lined with sigils of Spirit. As you press the seed into the earth, your Codex glows. Spirit light threads into the soil, weaving a protective pattern. The ground hums softly. A breeze stirs. Suddenly, a flicker of blue-white light hovers over the planting site—unformed, curious, sensing you. The bond has begun. Growth will take time. Familiar Bond Begun – “Flickerling Sprout” Spirit-Woven Familiar in early stages Will grow over time (progresses through rest, exposure to Spirit, and key decisions) Flickerling presence grants passive +1 to Spirit Weave cooldown efficiency Random familiar traits will be revealed on growth Fatigue Incurred: You feel mentally drained from the ritual—slight fatigue until next rest. (+1 EP cost to Weaves involving Spirit until rest) Inventory Update: Flicker Seed: Used – planted in shrine garden Gold Marks: 0 Codex Update: “Flickerling Bond” milestone unlocked Passive bonus: Spirit cooldowns slightly improved Familiar progress: 0% – Awaiting growth events or resting exposure Outcome of the Choice: You’ve planted the rare Flicker Seed and begun a unique Spirit Familiar Bond. Let's buy the seed Story Update – Day 4, Morning: You reach toward the tiny display case where the Flicker Seed rests, faintly pulsing with Spirit energy—like a heartbeat wrapped in bark and mist. The herbalist watches you closely. "Rare, that one. Not just a seed… it's waiting. For the right soul." You place a Gold Mark on the counter. She nods reverently and wraps the seed in a thin cloth of Spirit-thread. “You’ll need to plant it somewhere sacred. A place where Spirit breathes freely. The shrine’s inner garden might work. Or... somewhere deeper.” You feel the Codex hum as the seed comes into your possession.
