  1. Party like it's 2013!
  2. I probably need some beauty sleep yes? *cough..antechamber*
  3. Ooh I don't want to look in a mirror at all. Not unless there's some really good lighting in there.
  4. Hey you made it! Yay 🙂 Welcome back 💙
  5. That is very confusing non saying of anything. I am wondering why you are saying very confusing muddles of words. Like saying something without actually saying anything, and it doesn't feel right. Vote Heavy
  6. So looks like we have to do the Breath Trial here instead. And maybe have a rest in the room?
  7. Ok let's just get on with it. Story Update – Day 4, Nightfall Moonlight spills across the Skyreach rope bridge, bathing everything in pale silver. The winds have calmed slightly—as if the temple itself is watching, waiting. You step onto the bridge. Each footfall feels weightless, supported by gusts that rise to catch you. Your Codex pulses. The Flickerling hums faintly, excitement lacing its glow. As you reach the monastery gate, it parts soundlessly. A gust of cool, scented air flows outward—laden with incense, feathers, and memory. Inside, you find yourself in a circular chamber, open to the stars. A monk, robed in flowing garments of translucent silk, floats inches off the floor. His voice is the whisper of storms. “To walk the wind is to let go, to trust what cannot be held. The Trial of Breath awaits. Pass, and the wind will know your name.” You are offered three paths: A room with no floor, only stepping stones suspended in air. A wind tunnel that shifts with invisible forces. A mirror chamber where your reflection moves against you. The monk gestures. “Choose your path.” Air Temple Trial Initiated – Trial of Breath You must complete one of the three challenges to gain mastery of the Air element. Updated Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Fatigue: High – Pushing into trials at night without rest Air Strength: 3 (Eligible for challenge) Time: Night (late) Location: Skyreach Monastery – Inner Trial Hall Flickerling Sprout: Pulsing erratically, seems both excited and anxious Outcome of Choice: You entered the Air Temple at night and initiated the Trial of Breath. Fatigue may slightly affect clarity or reflex-based checks. Next Choices: Choose the Stepping Stones Path – Test balance, reflex, and wind-walking skill Enter the Wind Tunnel – Navigate against unseen forces and disorienting gales Enter the Mirror Chamber – Face your reflection’s unpredictable will Rest at the antechamber before trial – Risk of dream-visions or minor spirit incursions Back out temporarily – You may attempt the trial again after rest or preparation What path will you choose?
  8. But I still think we'd be safer doing trials inside than staying outside in the dark.
  9. Right. Ever onwards, trying not to die Story Update – Day 4, Evening (Sunset) You step onto the Stair of Clouds, a weathered stone path winding up the cliffs like a ribbon carved by the wind itself. Each step is narrower, colder—less touched by time and more claimed by air. As you ascend, the wind howls louder, resisting your progress with every stride. At one turn, a gust threatens to throw you off the edge—but your improved Gale Step kicks in, grounding your stance and propelling you forward with subtle, airy momentum. Near the summit, you see glimmering glyphs etched into the stone—a guardian ward. The air here is sacred, and only those with sufficient elemental harmony may pass. Your Codex glows softly, threads of Water, Fire, Spirit, and now Air dancing in unison. The glyphs flicker, then dissolve, recognizing your bond. As the last light of day dips below the clouds, Skyreach Monastery looms above—floating in defiance of gravity, suspended by constant, controlled winds. A rope bridge leads across a chasm of swirling air. You’ve reached the outer threshold. Skyreach Monastery – Air Temple Discovered You may now attempt to enter the Air Temple trials Access restricted to those with Air Affinity (you meet the requirement) Updated Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Fatigue: Moderate–High Air Strength: 3 Current Location: Skyreach Threshold (Outside Air Temple) Time: Night approaching Flickerling Sprout: Feels jittery and excitable in this charged location Spirit glow faintly brighter (reacting to altitude and Spirit energy in the temple) Outcome of Choice: You have reached the gateway to the Air Temple, but the journey here has taken its toll. The wind is stronger at night, and trials may be more dangerous if entered fatigued. Next Choices: Attempt the Air Temple now – Brave the trials under moonlight Camp on the Threshold – Rest before entering; chance of random encounter Study the floating structure – Gain insight on Skyreach architecture and glyph use Use Soul Veil on the glyph remnants – Seek residual emotions or memories from past travelers Meditate with the Codex – Attempt to stabilize your elements before the trials What will you do?
  10. I think we should be safe from random darkness encounters once we get inside.
  11. Ok. Time to chill again Story Update – Day 4, Early Evening You find a smooth outcrop at the edge of the cliffside, where the wind whistles in long, drawn-out tones. Kneeling, you anchor your Codex at your side, resting your hands upon your knees as the world stills. You close your eyes and draw a deep breath. The air here is thin but charged. Each inhale feels like a thread pulled from the sky itself. Spirit light pulses from your Codex, mingling with rising currents of air. Your thoughts drift—memories of fire, water, spirit, and now air, all blending into a current of elemental balance. Suddenly, a surge runs through your limbs. Your bond with Air shivers and tightens—the element acknowledging your presence. Elemental Growth: Air Attunement Enhanced Air Strength increased to Level 3 Gale Step effect improved – Now reduces minor Wind-based knockback Future Air Weaves gain +1 casting range Your Flickerling Familiar flutters briefly in your periphery, a faint swirl of blue-white drifting from your shoulder, mimicking the flow of wind. It hums, pleased by the clarity of elemental meditation. Updated Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Air Strength: 3 (+1 from meditation) Passive Weaves: Gale Step (Improved) – +1 Air casting speed, reduced knockback, better terrain traversal Time: Day 4, Evening Fatigue: Moderate Flickerling Sprout: Bond stable – Familiar appears responsive to elemental progress Outcome of the Choice: You’ve deepened your bond with Air, boosting your elemental strength and refining your passive weave. This will improve your spell range and resistance during future high-altitude or aerial encounters. Next Choices: Climb the Stair of Clouds – Attempt the final ascent to Skyreach Monastery Camp at the Wind Ledge – Rest now to recover EP and reduce fatigue Return to Windrest Hollow – Resupply or check on planted familiar site Call upon the Flickerling – Attempt a connection or command Use Soul Veil to scan the air – Seek hidden traces or echoes before nightfall Let me know your next move!
  12. Yeah it all started afresh cos the forums got changed to clubs and then back to forums. We did get the old Mafia Board back though, so the games are there.
  13. Always nice to have an impartial mod lol
  14. Study is good Story Update – Day 4, Late Afternoon You kneel beside the broken rope glyphs, etched faintly into the weather-worn stone. Their whorled patterns spiral like miniature cyclones, half-vanished by time and wind. The Codex vibrates softly at your side, resonating with latent Air energy. Placing your palm over the glyphs, you channel a trickle of EP. Air shimmers around your fingertips as the runes briefly alight, revealing faint echoes of an ancient Windwalker's passage. Your vision blurs—wind, motion, flight. Then, insight: a basic Air technique, once used to manipulate lightness and balance during precarious travel. You commit it to memory, your Codex responding with a soft, chime-like tone. You’ve learned a new passive Weave: New Passive Learned – "Gale Step" (Air) You instinctively lighten your steps, reducing fall damage and improving mobility across unstable terrain. Grants +1 Air Weave casting speed in outdoor environments Automatically active while moving in windy or high-altitude areas Updated Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Air Strength: 2 New Passive: Gale Step (Air) Time: Day 4, Late Afternoon Fatigue: Mild Familiar: Flickerling Sprout (bonded, passive bonus active) Outcome of the Choice: You’ve deciphered and absorbed a forgotten Air technique, improving your mobility and elemental response in future challenges—especially helpful for traversing Skyreach's hazards. Next Choices: Climb the Stair of Clouds – Begin ascent to Skyreach Monastery Rest at the Wind Ledge – Safe and scenic, but time will pass Return to Windrest Hollow – Reconnect with allies or resources Use Soul Veil on the cliffside air – Sense echoes or emotional traces of the past Meditate to stabilize your Air affinity – May enhance future Air Weaves or resistance Let me know your next move!
  15. Ok we go to test our balance Story Update – Day 4, Late Afternoon: You step onto the center path—“Balance.” Narrow stone ledges twist around the cliff face, some no wider than your boots. Ancient ropes, frayed but enchanted with fading glyphs, stretch across impossible gaps. Below, cloudbanks roll like restless tides. Your Codex hums, lending subtle guidance to your footing. Wind howls, tugging at you with invisible hands. The path tests not just balance of body, but of mind and element—calm amidst chaos. Halfway across, a sudden gust snaps a rope. You react quickly, channeling Water and Spirit into a focused moment of clarity and flow. You leap, trusting instinct. The leap lands true. At the path’s end, the ghostly figure reappears—its expression softened. It bows, vanishing in a swirl of wind. “Balance… honored.” The air opens before you, revealing a steep stair of clouds that weren’t visible before. You’ve passed the First Gate. Outcome of the Choice: Trial of Balance successfully completed Gained Air Affinity +1 (temporary) Codex inscribed with Skyreach Glyph: Step of Calm Flickerling bond strengthened (Spirit attunement recognized) Unlocked deeper Skyreach paths Updated Stats: Day: 4 Time: Late Afternoon HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Elemental Strengths: Water: 13 Fire: 10 Spirit: 10 Air: 3 (+1 temporary) Earth: 2 Inventory: Flickerling Familiar: Sprout Stage (resonating with Spirit) Codex: Skyreach Step of Calm – First Trial Passed Next Choices: Climb the Stair of Clouds – Begin true ascent toward Skyreach Monastery Rest at the Wind Ledge – A quiet spot nearby offers safety, but time will pass Return to Windrest Hollow – Recover and regroup before tackling more trials Study the broken rope glyphs – You might learn something about Air Weaves Use Soul Veil on the cliffside air – Sense echoes of past travelers or secrets in the wind Let me know your next step!
  16. Yeah that's why I always posted in a different colour, so they could completely skip past and ignore anything I said. Which they often did lol
  17. So helpful. Thank you. I didn't really need to know the lingo when I was just counting votes.
  18. This is a dumb question, cos I saw it loads in the other games, but AI doesn't mean Artificial Intelligence does it. Not in Mafia games anyways. What is it? All Irrelevant?
  19. Yeah but we are super affinity aren't we Although not so much with Air
  20. This is an old school game full of old school players and we like to make the love taps So much nostalgia
  21. Onwards to the eastern path. Story Update – Day 4, Afternoon: You leave Windrest Hollow through the eastern path, a narrow trail winding between wind-carved stones and whispering trees. Chimes strung along old posts clatter softly, guiding you toward the high cliffs said to mark the beginning of the Skyreach Trails. The air thins as you ascend. Clouds swirl below the edge, and the ground feels charged—like standing on the edge of a storm. A shattered shrine juts from the rocks, etched with ancient Air glyphs long faded by wind and time. Your Codex pulses, reacting faintly. Suddenly, a ghostly figure materializes—shrouded in wind and song. It watches, then speaks: “Those who seek Skyreach must pass the first gate. Offer breath, balance, or bravery.” Three paths branch before you—each swirling with different elemental energy. Outcome of the Choice: Discovered Skyreach Trailhead Encountered Trial of the First Gate Codex registered location – fast travel unlocked (from Spirit shrine only) Flickerling seems curious but cautious—the Air presence unsettles it slightly Updated Stats: Day: 4 Time: Afternoon HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Temporary Buffs: +1 Air Strength (Trial Only) Notable: Skyreach Trailhead discovered Trial of the First Gate encountered Codex updated with Skyreach Windtrace Glyph Flickerling Trait Active: Emotional Empathy (mild unease sensed) Next Choices: Take the Left Path – “Breath” – Lined with wind spirals, seems to test elemental affinity Take the Center Path – “Balance” – Narrow ledges and ropes stretch over vast drops Take the Right Path – “Bravery” – Faint cries echo from a shadowed canyon Return to Windrest Hollow – Mark trailhead for later and come back better prepared Observe the Ghostly Figure Further – Might offer more insight into the trial conditions Let me know how you want to proceed!
  22. Salvage is the way in Diablo But where do we go here?
