I don't like that it says it's not very safe in here. I was hoping to have a rest in a bit and thought inside would be safer. I'm torn between doing this mini trial and sending Flicker off to find stuff. -

90's Action Hero Mafia - Game Over - Mafia Wins
Ithillian Turambar replied to Darthe's topic in DM Mafia Games
Why should I? Things he has done since then haven't really lead me to change my mind. Seriously with the whole a ha! But actually I did that on purpose to see who would fall for it. Apparently I did but he's not calling me out, he went on a whole other tangent. Other people I would vote for would be Heavy or Tigraine or Dice, cos they are at the bottom of my list. So if Darthe turns up as says Hammer or No Lynch then I could consider voting for another person I currently believe is Mafia. But I will still think Marsh is Mafia. -

I was the first to vote him. I had my vote on Heavy and then he popped up to defend him. So like I've already said at least twice in this game, either it's Marsh Mafia white knighting town heavy. Or Mafia Marsh stepping in to damage control on Mafia heavy. Marsh is Mafia in both those scenarios so I switched my vote. 10 words. If two options. One give higher success. Choose other option. -

Well we shall explore a little more for now Story Update – Day 5, Late Afternoon Torchlight flickers as you press deeper into the ruins. The air thins, touched with a high-altitude chill. Crumbling stairs lead you into a hidden sanctum, long collapsed except for a spiraled inner chamber. Elemental glyphs, faded but intact, ring the floor in a broken mosaic. The Flickerling pulses once, then settles near a central slab. There, carved into the stone, is an old training circle—once used by monks to hone elemental discipline in isolation. At the center lies a half-buried training totem, its elemental anchors still faintly active. As you step forward, the room hums to life. Your presence has awakened a training trial—but its effects are unstable from centuries of decay. Glyphs of Air, Spirit, and Fire swirl outward, triggering a soft tremor. A voice echoes faintly from the stone: "Balance the winds, calm the flame, and listen for the voice within." The Codex opens automatically, offering an interface to begin the elemental challenge. You feel that starting it will drain energy—but could unlock a new spell or insight. Update: Discovered: Skyreach Elemental Trial (Air + Fire + Spirit) Optional Challenge: Engage the trial using your elemental strength. Requires 3 EP to begin. Success may grant: New hybrid spell Spirit resonance boost Flickerling evolution progress Codex Prompt: "Begin the Elemental Trial?" Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Fatigue: Moderate (due to deep exploration without rest) Time: Day 5, Late Afternoon Current Inventory Updates: Skyreach Reliquary (Rare) Lore Fragment – Path of Winds Next Choices: Begin the Elemental Trial (Consumes 3 EP) Leave the trial chamber and return to the upper ruins Rest here to regain EP and reduce fatigue (less safe than open air) Inspect the broken glyphs – May yield materials or spell fragments Send the Flickerling into a side alcove – Let it explore independently Would you like to attempt the trial? -

This is what the imprint is yes? Cos we found his journal. The chest we can't open till we get to a shrine. Would it be potentially risky because the monk got it wrong or because the trial would know we cheated? We could go deeper into the ruins and see if we find anything else. It's afternoon now, so we should also take that into consideration When did saving the world get so hard? -

The young folk are saying they will use discord. But I don't understand discord so just used PMs. It was a whole shocker when I first tried to get a game going again. -

I am very unhappy that your mega post starts with this. Goes through a whole lot of reasons why it's ok for you to defend Heavy because you were pretending and then call Key out over and over And then I look back to the start and your definite Mafia is Heavy but you are not voting Heavy. -

Even your own post confirms the odds but you say it is weird. Mafia Marsh white knighting Town Heavy. Marsh = Mafia. Heavy = Town Mafia Marsh defending mafia Heavy. Marsh = Mafia. Heavy = mafia You got 2 points to his 1 and so I changed my vote. -

That was really a specific response that I wanted to make to show that while Turin may seem to not always play the way everyone seems comfortable with, that doesn't mean he doesn't get results. -
Good luck Hallia 🙂

Once again we are lured by potential loot. I hope there's no such thing as a Mimic in this world. Story Update – Day 5, Afternoon You approach the shadowed curve of the cliff’s base, where fragmented stone ruins half-buried in moss and dust cling to the mountainside. The Flickerling flits ahead, its glow sharpening as it nears a narrow passage barely visible behind a toppled column. Inside, the air is still—thick with old echoes and faint Spirit resonance. It’s clear this site was once part of the Skyreach pathways, perhaps an old shrine or a meditation retreat. Cracked mosaics show winged monks and elemental sigils intertwined. You spot a faint glyph shimmer beneath layers of dust. As you step closer, your Codex pulses. The Flickerling hovers near the glyph, which responds to its presence. A quiet chime sounds—and a small alcove opens, revealing a Skyreach Reliquary sealed in spirit-threaded glass. You gain: Item: Skyreach Reliquary (Rare) – Contains a preserved monk's insight. Can be opened at a Spirit Altar or Codex altar to gain a boon. Lore Fragment: A monk’s carved journal tablet describing “The Path of Winds,” a rite of attunement. Optional Codex Prompt: "Would you like to imprint the monk’s echo into your Codex for deeper insight?" (Consumes no EP, but may have future consequences.) Updated Inventory: +1 Skyreach Reliquary +1 Lore Fragment – Path of Winds Flickerling: Curious trait triggered (optional hidden areas may be revealed in future similar ruins) Stats: HP: 27 / 27 EP: 17 / 17 Time: Day 5, Mid-Afternoon Fatigue: Light Next Choices: Climb higher toward Skyreach Monastery – Continue the ascent Imprint the monk’s echo into your Codex – Accept the memory and risk potential influence Return to Windrest Hollow – Revisit village for supplies, work, or information Rest at the edge of the ruins – Regain EP, deepen Spirit bond Explore deeper into the ruins – The passage may continue beyond the relic site Would you like to imprint the echo? And which path will you take next? -
