It was going to be the final Bathhouse meeting. The Ootori-Sama

all gathered together to see if they couldn't solve the riddle and rid the bathhouse of the bad spirits for good.

Kamaji was feeling kind of defeated. It had been a long series of bad events, and he was just about ready to give up. The Ootori-Sama tried very hard to cheer him up.

"I know it isn't you. It has to be Chichiyaku."

Kamaji didn't know what to think. He even tried having a hot bath himself, but it was hard work to both shovel the coal himself and using tokens and everything. Chichiyaku was quietly mulling things over himself. He couldn't see the sweet and cuddly Ootori-Sama as a threat. They were so polite and cheerful all the time. It had to be Kamaji. I mean, the man had four arms and buggy eyes, and he was hanging out in the boiler room with the Soot Sprites all the time. That had to be where the plans had been hatched. It had to be!

When it came time to throw their final votes, the Ootori-Sama pointed to Chichiyaku

Encouraged by this, Kamaji too voted there.

It had been decided.

Katiora has been lynched.
She was Chichiyaku, Vanilla Town.

I wish I'd been more forceful when I told you guys to go to Hallia/Kat rather than Wildfire

Still I think you could've gotten it if you'd just been patient and let everybody talk!

There was no reason to speedlynch both these phases without letting your suspects argue

And Kat, you should never have thought it could be Sili once Hallia voted - Sili was sitting on the hammer for like an hour!

Anyway amazing game from the mafia, Hallia I don't think I could ever have caught outright, only by eliminating Wifi.

Regy you were great.

Thanks for joining us here on DM and helping to make this a fun and challenging game

Can you talk to me about

The Darthe kill

The Wifi push

Probably the two things most confusing to me about the game.

You were pretty amazing yourself

Darthe kill was because I had a hard time swallowing that Clov was almost outright claiming Doc during Night with the RBer still alive. I figured maybe he thought it was Cory or something and was trying to provide cover. We actually blocked him N1 because of his "never getting lynched" line.

Anyway, Darthe's reaction to the post looked to me like he was really trying to point it out. Like make the claim super obvious for everyone in what I thought doc!Darthe could be treating Clov as if he believed he was doc sorta thing. I really just talked myself out of the obvious because I couldn't believe Clov would claim like that in this particular situation

So yeah :-/ if we shoot Clov N2 the game obviously goes much differently because you or Cory never make it to past N4.

The Wifi push was just kind of spur of the moment thing. You were starting to sniff out me and Hallia as the last two so I wanted to do something and screw up reads because I felt if we let the Kat lynch ride then me and Hallia could've gone in F5 and then F3 back to back.

It was by design.

A note on final 3's for future reference perhaps:

The first vote is the most crucial if you don't have a truly clear town who can instruct a cross vote and decide. A cautious town will never cast the first vote early because if they're wrong, mafia hammers and the game ends.

If someone does vote and the hammer doesn't fall, there's only two possibilities: they're right, or they're mafia. If you're the one being voted for you now know it's the latter. It is your duty to convince the other one, and just the fact that they voted incautiously is good evidence.

I don't know if Kat could've convinced Sili with that argument the last phase, but it was definitely the one to try. Sili as mafia  under those circumstances had already been proved impossible by Hallia's very action.

F3's are hard and stressful but they should be taken slooooooooooooooooooow always slow

Do everything slow and you'll win a good deal more often ;)
