The amount of people who are still scum reading Dice has been a bit... fascinating to me.

I'm not even scum reading him. I'm just not TOWN reading him.

I'm perfectly fine having him in the poe, though. So I won't split hairs if you want to call that a scum read. I just don't have any confidence in this being a Town Dice game so I guess I *do* get it.

 

 

I guess what I want to see is someone who isn't town reading him to step up and explain why some of us are, then tell me why they don't feel the same.

 

 

 

Shad can you honestly say that you feel like Dice's game hasnt been off.....like hes not playing the same way as in in SW or Bellicheat etc....im not saying its a drastic difference but there IS a difference imo.

So, I'm literally starting on p26 because that's the last place I was at that I actually took some notes. My notes are my own ISO, some of this will come kinda commentary-like and providing reads, it's a little wordy... hence a spoiler lol

 

 

 

p26 don't like Dice's comment about "roadmapping" for Hally. Some people are already self aware, so us repeating it don't do anything. (Yates says-ish as much 598) Tabor jumps on this line of questioning too (p30-34), taking the stance that mafia wouldn't support that wolf meta for Hally on thread, which is completely useless for known metas, imo. *shrug* This same conversation btw Tab/Yates carrying through 34 so far... and beyond *facepalm* Stahhpppp

 

Answering these types of questions reveals who I am outside of the game, and doesn't solve this one.

 

Please do not ask. Or at minimum, do not expect an answer.

Nomi avoiding revealing who he is is gross, but understandable. I don't see how this could be seen as a scummy move or why it's taken up so much game conversation. [Actually kinda annoyed, going back, realizing how many posts were wasted on this]

 

It's not even the worry it's just that she reads with the assumption that she is being run up

 

Poot is a lovely lady that we treasure very much and I think she's also the type to have a "guilty" mindset when she's a wolf

 

And I hate myself for saying that because I'm pretty sure that's a Darthe-style read and I'm better than that, damnit

Alright. I've at least read everything now. From where I stand I think Corlanna, Sili, Shad and Zander are my villagers. Everyone else I'm not sure of at the moment. 

 

I still believe Thane is a viable option for wolf, both for whining about my vote, but also for a number of posts where he posts for the sake of posting, meaning there's not much substance there. My vote is going nowhere yet until I see a clearer suspect. 

Not sure I understand this situation with regards to Thane? As for mentioning the joke vote, right here he votes Sooh for not being around and parking a vote , here he encourages input from Sooh after she checks back in, this is mentioning why Sooh has votes when Sili asks. That's all of three(?) posts. One initial vote, and two in responses to Sooh/Sili about the vote. I personally think Thane is a pretty good candidate for TOWN based on the effort he's putting forth this game and just looking at his ISO he's feeling like Thane from AoL.

As for "the number of posts where he posts for the sake of posting" this is literally Thane meta that is totally null. It would be like reading Zander one way or the other for how many "lolololols" he has. lol (Z responds here on 637 with the same general idea in a one liner, Clov responds about the Thane voting thing later, post 780 with the same line of thinking as me: Sooh's thoughts irt Thane are a little worked up)

Tl;dr Sooh's whole post bugs me. But I mostly agree with her town reads.
Follow up on Sooh: 645 is bleh But even without the spoiler, Thane's posts are meatier than usual, and that's a good sign.

Right out the gate wanting to lynch Lenlo, assuming joke. Asking about Clov-scum. Now heavily pushing Lenlo vote (aka not giving reasons, but saying vote him vote him, Zander style). Thinks Zander's "I'm town" intro forced. Still pushing Lenlo=scum. Agrees with Sili that Yates deflecting off Lenlo, and that Yates/Lenlo scum together. "I'm busy" post

That's everything up until Sili's quoted post above. After that..

Admits that he hasn't had time to catch up and the Lenlo pushes were all for reactions anyways and not serious. New target is Zander for his first post (forced), and for the backing up others instead of having original thoughts (um, wasn't this Lenlo, the very person whose lynch he was pushing earlier??), and that Zander jumped on a popular bandwagon. He expands the last thought here supporting some of Pral's thoughts on Zander, and here. After that there's more back and forth with Rack/Shad/Zander until the unvote here because he mis-remembered. This is kinda iffy for me because it feels like he's backing down from the vote and needed a reason.

Waiting for Rack to reevaluate as he's promised in his most recent post.

TL;DR Rack scum. Too inconsistent with his play and I can't follow a thing that he's doing which doesn't make it feel like it's coming from a townie mindset for me.

 

 

pg 35 #697 (Sooh's post a reminder) getting good feelings about Nomi and they haven't disappeared yet, though I'm not sure how much I trust this read yet. Putting him in a light town lean.

He does look odd in the generic sense. I think his approach he's taking is useful as scum because it reveals essentially zero about his team even if he's caught. That said, without metadata I can't say he's being different. Just that I generally distrust players who share as little as possible and would lynch them in a neutral setting over those who give me more to digest. My gut says lynch but my experience is telling me I'm policy lynching and playing it safe and that's not the same as finding a scum day one. And the solution to a player who is revealing little, who is a townie, is to give them more time to reveal more. But the wiring is still all backwards and I want to make them die now, to be safe.

p39-40 Sili being weird with his reads on Sooh. Meh. Sili probably town though, gut/Cory reads.

 

Of note on the Alanna/Hally thing; I liked her catch up posts and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Not enough to slot her anywhere near town for me yet though. The "ooc" comment and her for claiming like I'd been having conversations with her all game then "forgot her" when really it was one quote on page 3 a year and a half ago are just throwing me way off. She's not sitting right with me this game yet and I'm still a little peeved she wouldn't discuss that post with me further. Might need some more pressure later on if I don't get better content here.

#893  Nomi reads list good; Can't say I 100% agree with it, but it's easy to follow, and I like the top 5, and a few in the bottom. I feel like Nomi has been putting in a lot of effort and is coming off as really town to me, so he's been rising in my town reads pretty steadily.

p45-6 Dice getting all up in this Alt business is a distraction from the game, but it's not giving me a chance to read him well.

It's a gut feeling. I can't really explain it, because in my eyes Cory is really good at replicating his town game as scum. Laine has always been a difficult read for me, but Cory makes that hydra towny for me now.

Yeah. So you see why I would be surprised at your read, yes? I mean, are Clov and I really that much harder for you to figure out? I know you struggle with your Lainey reads. I know you know Cory can replicate his Town game as wolf. And somehow you have come to the conclusion that two people you have - by your own admission - confirmed history of having difficulty solving are Town? It just seems weird because I would expect to see "Corlanna/Clov/Yates Hard to read day one" from you MUCH more often.

I'm not confident enough to throw anyone in blue AORN and there's a definite gap in the null list but I think I would still be surprised if there was a wolf in the top 6. I would wager heavily there aren't > 1.

 

Pral's posts seems different to me than Ragnarok where I admittedly misread him but there's more posturing here than otherwise and more of a "making a case and leave" as opposed to the sort of little bits he was giving out. Just doesn't feel genuine to me.

Trust me, I asked him the same; Dice lower on my list because I just can't get a read on him through all this Nomi-crap, which is unfortunate. But I'm not willing to lynch him today because A. Not a good enough read and B. Cory seems sure. As for Tabor, I read her badly but I can't trust her. Some of the things she says are just iffy to me. I was so damn sure in Harry Potter that she was maf, and I was an idiot. So I'm taking more caution this game and seeing where I can get. Probably just gonna end up deferring to Cory on this read eventually.

Note on Tabor later from 1244 (clov) I remember Cory read Tab really well in HP, I'm pretty sure reading the DT he was pretty dang frustrated with my pushes on Tab since d1 in that game. But I also recall we had to drag a lot of her better posts from her that game and GET her involved and advancing her reads. So.. idk. Still a ~meh for me, aorn.

As for the talk on activity levels: this is frustrating. Sure people can get away with posting a low activity, but that doesn't make them any easier to read and POE (including those quieter players) can be useful to solve. I throw inactives straight into my POE and sometimes I'm right. Nobody gets a pass. If you want to be read correctly, play the game.

I was stronger on Shad v early but we've sort of moved toward the middle over time. She had Thane v early as well before I did but that changed for me over the past ~2 gamedays as well.

 

She's concerned about Lenlo and Sooh the most but I'm not sure how caught up she is AORN

 

Honestly she's hasn't been on that much, our QT is relatively empty besides me drooling everywhere

Cory covers for my absence, thank youu. <3 I've basically caught up now, I think other differences are wrt Dice and Tab (I have them both in null).  I can also attest to his drooling all over the QT but it's adorable so I'll keep it to myself.
