I started reading the Wheel of Time book series around 1999 prolly. There were already about 8 books out by that point. Took me a couple of years to get through those. Then by the time I did that, book 9, 10 and prolly 11 were already out. Took me a long looooong while to read those. And then the author passed away.... short of one book to go... and the author hired to finish the series for him split book 12 into three books.... so 12, 13 and eventually 14 came out.

 

I'm on book 14 now..... after starting the series like 16 years ago. It's called closure lol
