I am a fan of just a plain hamburger from the grill every now and then. Especially at a cook out or at the beach. Not often but i do like it.

All I like on my burger is ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato and a tiny bit of onion.  No cheese, no mayo.

that's fine if it's a good juicy rare enough burger but a nasty dry over cooked one needs bacon and cheese and perhaps hot dogs.

feeling a bacon cheeseburger soup coming on.

that just sounds terrible..............................but I'd still eat it.

One of the missus' old co-workers was a chef. In the cafeteria they had a theme station that he would cover sometimes. One of the recurring themes was a risotto station. One day the missus brought home a bacon cheese burger risotto. I thought it sound absolutely nightmarish. Sweet Jebus was I wrong. so so so SO wrong. Was incredible. The only thing it needed was some kick or somethin zesty. She told him this so the next time he made it there was some chopped jalapeno. IN!credible.

you're wrong about the soup, too. it's awesome.

ground beef, bacon, in a cheese soup

base , onions, potatoes, tomatoes, hot sauce, a smidge of ketchup and mustard., Worcestershire. some chopped pickle for garnish. so good.
