It looks like the mafia believed Ithi was Aang.  It think they really thought they could manage to get her lynched at one time.  Once that stopped then she had to die.

Well Should only be one left, which makes things a bit more difficult.

1. Zander (mentored by Cory): Early over chummy banter. Not much content overall. I still find his claim that "one of Turin/Ithi must be mafia" awful logic. Primarily because it has no basis.
2. Nolder - May, Mafia Goon Killed N2
3. Eldrick: One thing that does bother me her is that he mimics the John Snow town reads on Ithi and me for feels reasoning. It is generally more common for mafia to do that to keep the mafia finding eye of Ithi from looking at them.
4. Sooh (mentored by Clov) : I really don't like the hard Ithi push at night right before Ithi got killed. It leads to the defense "that I wouldn't do all that work if I was just going to kill her".
5. Not Bob - Sokka, Town Cop Killed N1
6. Thane: Very low content. Lots of catching up and such. Has done and said a few things to perk my ears up. biggest was his talk of not being able to secure a lynch and then not voting  the vote leader although said person was in his lynch pool.  Other thing troubling is his lack of real time interaction.
7. Seph (mentored by Dice) : He just seems all over the place. Partofmy difficulty is in actually reading his posts I think. I get confused as to who he is talking about and my eye glaze over.
8. Tress: Her tinfoil has me tinfoiling on her but probably the closest thing to a town read I have at the present.
9. AJ - Iroh, VT killed N1
10. John Snow - Azula, Mafia Goon lynched D2
11. Ithi - Aang, VT killed N2
12. Turin

Some Nolder posts...

Also it's you're. If you're Town. Shortened from you are.

I don't know if we can be bestest buddies if I have to editor your posts.

im total town too. scouts honor!!!

Not enough exclamation points. You're obviously lying.

[v]Zander[/v]

I could see this as w/w/ "joke voting" Especially since Zander took it in stride. I don't recall his exact words but it seemed to be "yeah, Ok."

Things I'm looking for is Nolder's contributions. Hopefully we'll get a chance to work together as townies this round. I don't think we've had the opportunity yet.

Ever? I find that hard to believe.

Nope, never from what I recall. We've either been wolves together or opposing town/mafia.

I'm not singling you out intentionally. You're just one of the few I think I could get a good read on in this player list.

Well that's some weird luck.

Also, it seemed like you were.
Who are the other "few" you're referring to?

We know AJ was town and Nolder was mafia so I read this as Nolder trying to link himself to AJ. This is further evidenced by his attitude in his derp situation with me. Where it took him a long time to make the connection that I was NOT most suspicious of him but his interaction was the most suspicious of those that AJ went into. I tihnk it may be possible that he intended to "derp" his way thru the game, using apologies after the fact to get out of things he got into.

Let's see.

Don't like the game Ithi and Turin are playing with each other. Find it distracting.

AJ seems a little more laid back this game than the last time with crossed paths fwiw.

Looks like Notbob has been quiet as well which is normal for him early game so that's not a warning sign yet.

I see Turin opposed lynching inactives. Makes me wonder if maybe one of his teammates was inactive?
Also noticed that he dodged the question about whether it was just Notbob or all inactives he was against lynching and then when called on it said he'd lynch me for irony.
I appreciate the irony and wouldn't have been upset had that happened but I will note that he stood in the way of Notbob's lynch for inactivity but seemed ok with mine so maybe there is something there after all. To be fair though he chose John Snow over me although I think the relevant part here is Notbob.

Thane seems to be going with the flow to me which I don't really like. Maybe it's just me but nothing he's saying really stands out to me as townie who's trying to find scum.

Ithi strikes me as legitimately frustrated town.

Seph looks like he's trying hard. That's basically a null tell but I like the effort and recommend keeping him around for a couple days at least.

I chose Snow over Nolder but didn't want to lynch NotBob. Kinda good to choose the mafia over the cop.

Seph is trying hard so should be kept around. I have never understood that argument. mafia try hard too. Oh well.

Can you guys just play the game and stop trying to control how people talk?

Yes. Although attacking play styles is fine, personal attacks aren't. Please stop.

I didn't attack anyone.

Didn't say you did. Quoted you to say I agree.

It was a general statement

Ok.

Well Anyway I can see I'm already getting myself dragged into this.
Going to step away for awhile while the persons involved sort out this pettiness so I don't get dragged in further.
Hopefully it's resolved soon.

This is Nolder going off on a tangent. Latching onto a not really game related thing and running with it, It is one of his tells.

2. Nolder-Useless posts. Has hardly been in the game.

The second part is fair enough.
The first part though is just an opinion. I could say the same about you or anyone if I wanted to.
Can you give some context to this? What ratio of useful to useless posts do you think I have?
Are they purposely useless like scum trying to post filler or just regular banter?
Is it possible that they're just regular posts but you personally do not find them useful?

This is the kind of throwaway statement scum like to make about people imo and I don't like it.

Solid distancing from his mafia teammate.

So IIRC, this is a regular hammer game. not a hybrid hammer. If we can't consolidate 7 votes, will it be a no lynch?

+1 for paying attention and being worried about the deadline.

a kudo to Eldrick

While seph is my strongest candidate, it is highly unlikely he'll be lynched today. I'm going to move my vote, so it doesn't go to waste, being i probably won't be on again before the deadline.

AJ is high on my suspect list, and has 2 votes. Seems like the smartest choice.

[unvote]
[v]AJ[/v]

Interesting choice.
Usually people will vote their highest candidate regardless of who everyone else is voting.
This could be distancing or it could be an honest attempt at compromise with the town.
Time will tell but I think it's important to note this for later.

Also ftr I think Seph is town so I'm confused why he's your strongest candidate.
I'll have to go back and read your posts.

Then a little dig at Eldrick for not voting his top read. Eldrick clearly explained why he was doing what he was doing. I don't find that strange.  But Nolder questioning it fits with his "derp" tactics IMO.

So in short - ish, I have questions about

ZANDER with the "joke vote"

SEPH for the to be kept around thing. If they planned to bus Snow and were setting Seph up to be the deep wolf this would be the one read one of his team would give. Especially since the other one (Snow) was going hard at Seph.

I'm trying to remember but I don't think Nolder ever mentioned Sooh. Like at all. That could be nothing but She did "guarantee" that one of Ithi, Nolder or me was mafia.

I still need to recalibrate my thoughts entirely but I'm totally getting a town read on Turin ATM.

This is wholly unusual, but I like it.

Was running things around in my head earlier with the knowledge that Ithi didn't fit the tinfoil hat theory, and Zander became a major question mark.

Answer:

Joke
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about the form of humour. For other uses, see Joke (disambiguation).

A joke is something spoken, written, or done with humorous intention.[1] Jokes may have many different forms, e.g., a single word or a gesture (considered in a particular context), a question-answer, or a whole short story. The word "joke" has a number of synonyms, including wisecrack, gag, prank, quip, jape and jest.[1] To achieve their end, jokes may employ irony, sarcasm, word play and other devices. Jokes may have a punch line, i.e., an ending to make it humorous.

See, here's the thing, Zander.

Turin didn't say he wanted you to answer the question.  You can't answer that question, because Nolder was the one who voted, and unless you talked about it on the QT you don't know why he did it.

Sure, jokes do exist (see my joke FOS on Seph to start the game after I mentored him in the last one), but I don't recall you having a lot of history with Nol to carry into this game.  We have two known mafia now and ALL their interactions, joke or not, are valuable to help us figure out who they were working with.

Posted

@Zander, I know what a joke is. Will you not concede that mafia have been known to "joke" vote each other in the inital stages of a game?

I find it kind of strange that Nolder would pick you. From my knowledge you don't have any previous interaction to warrant that level of jokiness. Like I said I find it strange.

it had nothing to do with that i thought al the early jokes ie Seph on Sooh were funny.  hence i did it

Tress  don't steal my thoughts.

Zander, Your joke on fufu (who isn't in the game) is inconsequential at this point unless there were 4 mafia to start and you and Seph were mafia together. That is comparing apples to CAH.

That is all well and good but still not relevant to my suspicion of you based on something that Nolder (known mafia) did. I will grant that it may have been a false trail he laid but it is a lead to look at.

Convince me you are town.

Understandable if wrong. I stated I have questions about not questions for.

both of these things were noted based on Nolder's actions. You really can't (or at least shouldn't) know his intentions.

With that I think I am shutting it down for the night.

I completely understood his point.

He didn't quote your vote on "fufu", he quoted Nolder's vote on you, and said he had questions about it.

He's analyzing the interactions of a known mafia to try to determine what may have significance.  It's pretty much SOP in a game after we have a mafia flip.  You should probably ask Cory about that.

Hey. another maf down. Good job other killing role, whoever you are. (Assuming, of course, that mafia didn't kill themselves)

Time to go back and do a reread, given the available information, now that I have time to do so. Let's see if we can nab that last maf today. Hopefully the other role is a vig, and we win today :D

Ok. going over the things that have initially caught my attention this game. First one is the mini train on Ithi.

It was started by John Snow pointing out Ithi's distancing.

Then seph points out that Ithi has let two pokes and a vote go by without doing anything about it.

Tress agrees with seph's reasoning, and votes Ithi.

Seph also votes Ithi a few minutes later.

John Snow then points out that the timing of Seph's vote was dirty.

Then there was Zander claiming VT, and John Snow pointing out that claiming VT on Day 1 is a bad idea.

Was this John Snow's way of making his teammate look good, by drawing attention to his claim? I didn't give too much credit to the claim, as mafia will say they are VT just as much as VT will, maybe more so. Looking back at it, I'm suspicious of Zander for this.

Back to my reread now.

See you next game Ithi.

I do think that town has a vig. Which is great. I don't think there's another special ability out there. We're here:

Alive:

6. Thane

1. Zander (mentored by Cory)
8. Tress

12. Turin

7. Seph (mentored by Dice)

3. Eldrick

4. Sooh (mentored by Clov)

i know i'm town, that leaves 6. Zander made his VT claim, i think it was a n00b mistake, buying it for now. Leaves 5. Tress and Turing both strike me as town this game. Leaves 3.

More town feels than wolf for Seph and Eldrick, but i feel less confident about them.

by POE, Sooh is a wolf to me. She does have a good game, but... yeah... Being mentored changes her playstyle she said... though i think she has been mentored in previous games before. Doesn't add up.

dead ones:

5. Not Bob - Sokka, Town Cop Killed N1
9. AJ - Iroh, VT killed N1
11. Ithi - Aang, VT killed N2

2. Nolder - May, Mafia Goon Killed N2

10. John Snow - Azula, Mafia Goon lynched D2

Not leaning too far yet as it early but

Anyway.. this game seems to be flying by! Too bad a girl's gotta sleep and work before playing awesome games...

It's a tough read so far, though there are interesting things going on in several different groups at the moment.

I think we were all a bit taken aback by Ithi's lack of interest in the beginning, but today you seem more on your game

Tress and AJ, are you always so fond of one another?

Not getting good vibes from this.

 I could say the same...

This confused me at the time, but I forgot to bring it up.

What could you say the same to?

You're not getting good vibes from your own post?

or

You're not getting good vibes from him not getting good vibes from you?

or

Something else.

Ok. so reading back on the notbob "attention grabbing" train.

AJ votes  Notbob for seemingly no reason at the time.

AJ suggests lynching the quiet people if they won't talk.

Seph likes the idea.

AJ explains later that he voted Notbob to get people to talk/react to it. It hadn't worked.

Thane likes this idea, and throws his vote on.

Turin expresses being against lynching inactives on Day 1.

AJ mentions that nobody is being blind lynched. "The point is to rally and force them to start playing under the threat of being hung."

Seph agrees and adds his vote.

Thane mentions blind lynching is a bad idea.

From this I gather that Thane's reason to vote was to get Notbob to talk, as was AJ's.

I'm not sure about Seph though. He claims his reason is to get Notbob to talk, but he's also ok with lynching quiet people.

This is what got my attention the first time through, and why I felt his vote was to blind lynch Notbob. It took going back and analyzing the thread to realize it.

Reading this in the light of Nolder being mafia.

First thing so far that has given me any indication Turin might be mafia, this being a w/w ploy. I don't think so, but it's something to consider.

And that's it for now. My head is hurting from the reread, and I need a break. I might get back to it tonight, but I will likely finish tomorrow.
