The problem was of course that I didn´t add a doc. I thought it would be too much with a doc and a cop in a small game like this.

I don't think it was a problem.

 

My assumption that there was a godfather screwed me over

 

But really, Thane, if you hadn't tried to convince Cass to vote for me I might have thought about it longer, even if I probably would have ended up making the same decision in the end.

Weird. I think Thane actually deep cleared himself there. No way he could do that vote/push (especially the vote) as Mafia.

I would agree with that, Tina. I was surprised there were any roles

When I started playing a basic game was often 12 players - 1 cop, 1 doc, 3 mafia goons. That was what I had planned to do but since there were only 8 players I felt that a doc would be too much.

That setup is very town sided. So would have been this game with a doc. Your setup was fine.

I'm happy to share the Wolf QT if Yates is (Warning: it is a lot of me being overly paranoid, over-thinking stuff and convincing myself to do silly things  )

Also, you played awesome especially towards the end and I think I'm definitely a Villager at heart too, FWIW. I loved the challenge of keeping myself in the clear (same when I am Town), but not so much setting up those I knew weren't wolves 

(Thanks to Yates for setting up the GF thing, for his encouragement and for putting up with me  )

 

 

i gave all the scummies passes so that i could level a poe filled with villagers. i am goat.

FWIW, Sili, you explained yourself really, really well and handled the pressure better and better as the game went on.  I actually did start to understand you a whole lot better this game *g* I killed you because I thought you may be a Doc, based on your WIM and something you said about villagers having something to lose....

Tresslove, the only reason Cass didn't kill you was because she was super paranoid there would be a doc in an eight-player set-up with a cop, which is just newness on her part I think.

 

But your casual everyday reminder that Mafia do weird things and push buttons a lot so don't let yourself get leveled by it.

I was freaked out that you would and freaked out that you may have peeked me (part of why I hoped Thane would Tress-vote, and why I was trying to stay awake to hammer).

yup. As i said, i'd be unhappy if you'd be a wolf this game. Not saying you couldn't fool me, but i'd like to think i could figure out when you play as a wolf.

I would wolf OR Town with you any day! You played an incredible game in thread even if we need to work on some of your wolf strategy for lining up kills a little better.

 

I would prefer not to share the dead QT only because it ended up being more like a mentor QT and I think it could potentially hurt you to have a bunch of people knowing some of the stuff shared in there. BUT - if you're okay with letting the world inside your head; that's up to you. I won't stop it, I just want you to consider folding your cards face down so people won't recognize your bluff later...

 

The basic gist of the wolf QT is this:

 

1. We need to kill JMM. He's hinting at being a PR and even if he isn't his reads are too spot on.

2. I'm afraid Tress is Cop because if she is she'll view me and I'm dead meat but feel as though the JMM kill is the thing to do.

3. When Tress starts her stuff with Sili I'm downtrodden because I realize Tress *is* the cop and I'm going down so distance away!

4. After I'm outed and lynched Cass is convinced Sili is the Doc

5. After she submits her kill I tell her why *I* would have killed Tress but good luck [part of the learning process for 1st time scum]

6. I didn't really offer advice until after her kills, fwiw, so she could make her own mistakes but we could talk about them in real time while they were potentially happening.

7. I do a bunch of cheerleading - not that Cass needs it - and remind her that she is Town

8. I suggest not over thinking the NK for last night.

9. Cass over thinks it anyway and kills BFG

10. I explain to her why she probably just lost the game

11. She's all "IN YOUR FACE YATES! I WIN BECAUSE I'M THE BEST!!! BOOOM!"
