Meg Murry found herself running once she knew she was out of her brother's line of sight, the rest of the way from the star watching rock in the north pasture to her mother's lab.  Ostensibly, she had returned for a sweater to ward against the autumn chill, but by the time she reached the house she barely needed it.  She burst into the laboratory, breathless, demanding, "Mother, what's wrong with Charles Wallace?"

 

Her brother looked much younger than his six years, and was light years more intelligent than his peers, which made him a prime target for bullies.  He'd come home from school with bruises and scrapes more days than not since the term had started, but recently there was something else, something more. Her mother had clearly seen it, Charles Wallace told her that Doctor Louise had examined him today while Meg was at school.

 

"I don't know yet, Meg," her mother answered patiently.  She looked up from the microscope with a small frown of concentration.  "I'm working on it, but I want to be sure."

 

"He's so pale," Meg exclaimed. "He got out of breath walking to the star watching rock!  And I think he's seeing things..."  Meg trailed off, reluctant to elaborate.

 

There are dragons in the twins' vegetable garden, he had said.   Dragons.

 

Shivering, she realized she needed that sweater after all.

• This is a HYBRID HAMMER game.  Lynch will be decided by a simple majority, and if no majority has been achieved by deadline, the person with the most votes will be lynched.  Ties will be decided by random.org.

• Character claiming and role claiming will be allowed.
• You are allowed one "bah" post after your death which may not contain any game related information.

I'm sooooooooo sorry, but until I'm feeling better consistently I really need not to subject everyone else to my failed attempts to play mafia half-assedly.  Your game deserves better Kiv, and I will be reading along for sure (and would love a dead thread link).

I believe if you're familiar with internet mafia, forum mafia should be fairly easy to pick up, yes. We can find you a mentor if you would like, I know a few folks who don't always have time to commit to a game but are happy to teach new players the ropes and/or coach people who feel they could use improvement.   Let me know!

Well I quit my course early, so I'm available now, but I would prefer a hydra partner, situation with my dad in law being as it is. If he dies my activity level will drop and so I'd like a partner so I don't screw up the game. He's still going strong so he'll hopefully hang in until over Christmas, but there's no guarantees!
