You are absolutely right. However, if you are smart about it you can use it as an excellent tool to allow the real Seer to post his/her reads in the event they get killed and flip Seer. The reason to have just about everyone do it is to prevent scum for being able to pick out the real one even in the event of one or two people misclearing a scum. On games that start with a N0 action, you get to start the game with D1 info - and that's a good thing. It's kind of similar, in strategy, to having everyone post "I am Town" in a game with a suspected Lie Detector.

 

Or - I'm actually the Seer and not providing cover. So there's that.

OP: he gets all over Yates' case about his mention about the 3 amigo deal. There is merit to point out the timing as being not great but Arsis immediately refers to it as a FoSing point cover for behaving differently.

 

Next post he just jumps to voting Verbal, saying he's pretty sure Lee said that posting spiderman memes is his scumtell.  Kinda opportunistic and also not true. I find it odd that the deciding factor on his vote ended up being a meta tip from a third party... vs his previous FoS of Yates.

 

Later Lee shows and says that's not fully true. That Verbal posting nothing BUT spidey memes is a warning sign. Arsis jumps up and down and is all. See see, I wasn't lying. Only that wasn't what Arsis said initially. Nor was Verbal spamming the thread with spiderman memes so his vote is completely unwarranted. Actually it wouldn't surprise me if this was him distancing a teammate, considering I'm not loving that hydra slot. Something to consider for later on.

 

Then Arsis moves on to comment about Thane and how he's yet to see a game where he doesn't get called scum D1. Oh how uncanny it is. How he votes for him EVERY time and he flips town 99% of the times. Neat.

 

Then he gets into a back and forth of me, misrepping what I said. I won't repeat myself but in a nuteshell I was asking people to drop the whole past mislynches rep Thane has since it doesn't matter. Arsis decies to interpret that as me saying that no one is allowed to use Thane's meta to read him. Which wasn't what I was saying at all. I explain myself and then he goes on about who brought this up, who commented about it. Bla bla  bla. Don't really see the point to this response. It's true that I addressed Thane when I asked the topic to 

be dropped but it was only cause when I was posting real time, he was the one talking about it. 

 

Then he decides to point at me and say that what I'm doing looks like scum taking a hard stance over something silly to try  to look good without actually scumunting. I think that's funny. As he pointed out he's the one who brought up Thane's past mislynches in the first place and how he's always wrong about him. And this was condusive to scumhunting

how exactly? I think my point was valid and I feel like he tried on two separate occasion to twist around the point I was trying to get across to make me look bad.

 

Then he keeps going on about this, keeps arguing how Thane being an easy day 1 mislynch is totally relevant. He says scum might pressure him because of it. OR... ya know... scum might defend him to look good (HINT HINT ARSIS lol). That's also an option. Duh. But anyways... more bla bla bla... on how Thane's mislynches apparently have tons of meaning even though it has no bearing on what Thane rolled this game. Awesome! Claims Thane was pushed seriously on page 2, which I disagree with.

 

Then Arsis goes on to nudging at Sili, claiming he's playing differently than his last town play, where he got mislynched. I personally disagree. I see similarities.

 

Then he moves on to accusing Darthe of coaching Silli, which I didn't really follow but whatever. He claims he had a town read on Darthe up until that post he labeled as coaching. Not a read he verbalized at any point since the game started... but yeah, sure... lets take his word for it. >.>   He says he won't vote for Darthe but that he's no longer in his town pile.

 

Then he unvotes, votes me who is his BIGGEST scum read so far.

Seems rather vague to me. I don't really get why DPR is his only lock town. Des Looks normal. Yates looks bad. Darthe still looks bad. I'm, apparently, not actually playing lol  He's happy with his vote!

 

Then Thane says he's gonna keep an eye on a couple of people, one of which is Arsis. So Arsis is all like... why me? Because Des said so? And then he moves on to say how Des has always been wrong in the past when he read him as scum. Which again..... has no marits in this game and overall seemed like a weak defense. If he thinks Des

is misreading him then he should clarify the points where he thinks Des is wrong, not just throw his hands up  in the air and say... well... he's always wrong about me.... so there you have it lol  THEREFORE HE MUST BE WRONG NOW!

 

 

 

 

 

 

In a nutshell.... It's not so much Arsis disagreeing with me that bothers me, but rather the ways he tried to twist it around on me and then eventually finished it off with a vote. He came flying into the game straight off with prod after prod. I really do feel that one of those prods was made to distance from one of his scum buddies. The rest was him looking for a good angle for a mislynch while buttering up Thane. Becoming Thane's spokeman comes across to me like him trying to gain towncred.

 

In my experience when Arsis rolls town he's very awkward and demotivated. He hates rolling town. LOVES LOVES LOVES rolling scum. As town he doesn't quite know what to do with himself. I thought I saw some of this in his posts but after rereading them all I feel like since he's OP he's been very focused, motivated and quite eager to twist things around to fit his narrative.

I don't really understand what you want. I've stated my general leans in the morning. The ones I have so far, anyhow. You don't ask me anything and just tell me to engage you.... and then you're worried cause I won't engage you?

More than that, he's all over the place as Town and flinging poo like a monkey at a zoo to see what sticks. This is actually a really good point and part of how I read Arsis. Look at his most recent Town games as examples. I mean, he counter claimed a Beloved Princess in a game on Day 1 once - and he was a TOWN PR that game!! I'm not seeing any of that here.

 

So I'm inclined to agree with you here. I'll have to look back but I really don't recall seeing him doing ANYTHING even remotely off the wall yet. And that's probably a pretty good scum tell for him. I'm good with Arsis/Darthe wagons today.
