Desp. For the record whenever you've posted on this thread it's been a negative experience. If you want to feed your own ego, please do it somewhere else.

Ftr I think there have been some SEVERE overreactions on other people's parts here- I don't think I've crossed any lines, ever this game. And I haven't been trying to feed me ego whatsoever here.

But sure, blame me for other people melting down, fine. I make a good scapegoat.

Whatever, I'm going to the gym.

For the record I was impressed with your pro town play last game and found you to be an obstacle when I was scum so kudos for that. I have no qualms with your playstyle.

I'm mostly annoyed at Arsis, Dice and Des for acting like nitwits.

It's just that I'm an old-time DMer, and I get really tired of ppl coming in from other sites and talking about what idiots we are here.

Dice is just paranoid. That's your own fault, Tomcat.

*No offense to any one in particular. You could all be right about Tom, and in that I have no judgement.

But there is no use in taking it so personally, and I am glad it wasn't another Dingus situation.

It should however be noted that if either Tom or Dingus were playing up their own grievance with despot as a matter of securing their lock!clear status, I won't forgive it.

Just to be clear.

I only get frustrated like this when I'm town because I'm not in complete control of the game.

So, neither Key or I can be around much tomorrow so we're tomorrow's lynch unless Tommy and co get bored  given that we have 5 votes and AJ and Alanna are waiting to vote us?

The 5 votes are because I could be using RL (posted about in sign up thread) as an excuse to hide as a wolf, and because Key is 'inside her wolf range' and Tommy/Cory claim to be able to read us 'easily' when town?

I am busy with work this week. This isn't made up, this was posted before Role PMs went out. It is NULL.

Tommy and I have played 6? Games prior to this, in 3 he was mafia and I was town. In 1 he replaced in as mafia when I'd already been NK, In 1 I was mafia and he replaced in as town, and in the final we were town town. In the Town-Town game he incorrectly read me as mafia (incidentally he also read Key/Yates as mafia) don't get me wrong that was by far my worst game ever, I fell behind quickly and couldn't catch up. I don't blame anyone for reading me incorrectly in that game.

The point is that Tommy has never read me correctly as town town, so take his claim to read me 'easily' with a pinch of salt.

Cory and I have been town town once as lovers, characters making alignment more or less confirmed, and he was SK in a game I was town. His townie meta for me, is just weird! In one game I joked and rhymed during the first few hours of d1 as my character was a really bad poet in a theme that I geek out about. I tend to avoid fluff unless I'm around early D1. Other than that he's also saying that I'm avoiding the game because I dislike being mafia, see above.

I don't really understand where Sili thinks I'm pushing Tommy from, he's neutral for now.

I'd rather hear more about how you're right about who the scum are rather than hear about how I'm disqualified from being right about who the scum are

Do not worry BFG/Key. I will get to the bottom of this and uncover your true alignment. I have instincts like a basset hound for the hunt.

Both you and Key encouraged a tommy lynch without pushing it.

Anyway it's 1am here and I need to be at work in ~6hours so I'm going to quote the posts I pulled trying to understand why our train built so quickly and will try and look tomorrow evening.

This is the early stuff I could find

Key's skepticism of me felt a liiiiiiiiiittle overdone but I'm not gonna pick a fight with her before seeing more thread action

Could be nothing

You mean my one question?

 Yeah, man, so overdone.

I'm not sure what you are looking for here? I apologize if you don't like my choice of words and if it was hurtful - it was not my intention; is never my intention, which I believe you know. I was trying to ask if your statement there was a tell for you or if it was neutral. So, I will retract my original statement and ask:those of you who have played with Cory as scum, which I never have, is his reaction regarding Verb not liking his joke, a neutral reaction or something more of a tell, in your opinion(s)?

I didn't really like the snappy tone in these posts. Maybe it's just Key being all kinds of preggo right now

I feel like scum Tom is just as likely to share that as town Tom .

You seem grumpy

Tommy, why a(n incorrectly formatted) vote on Yates if you think Verb's post where he pulled your quotes is the wolfiest thing so far?

Because i don't think Verb is scum right now. Moved to weird vibes #2.

K.

Verb doesn't look scummy to me either. I think his attacking the thread looks good.

Not sure I'm seeing what you are in regards to Yates. He seems to be playing similar to Woodstock and Dr. who, imo, but I'd like to look at Discworld again when I get on a computer to see how he started that game.

So anyone wanna explain why I have four votes?

[v]Key[/v]

Y u so mad?

FTR I unvoted key because her response to me about her and Cory's prior discussions sounded legit.

Anyone have any scum Key games I could look at?

Feel like she hasn't done anything she couldn't do as a wolf.

Key was scum in Nyn's Buffy game, I believe. That was in Thak, though, and I think you have to be a member of Shayol Ghul to see Thak now, which I am not. What I remember about Key in that game is that she looked super townie to me all game lol. So I'm feeling not very confident about reading her.

She's made some posts that aren't wrong but don't really do anything for me -- busywork is how I'd put it. BFG dislikes being scum IIRC so being busy might be a convenient reason to avoid the duties of the wolf den.

Tom it's just completely pointless behavior and it doesn't strike me as genuine.

I'm afraid he may be relying on our past experiences with him just to blow it off as typical Arsis shenanigans.

I understand your concerns and suggest cop visits him if we don't lynch him. I still think we need to shake down ~4 other players before EOD. We have like one scum suspect so far.

Bang on. I get "competent wolf" vibes from Key.

I'll look into it more tomorrow.

Here's red font to look scarier.

What's the tell, BFG

Tell you after this game

after im finished reading through the vs game ill look over this one and actually come to a conclusion.

tomripley and thane are place holders, although tom is at 40% town... well anyway, placeholders until i catch up.

So assuming everyone starts at 75%ish town, you think he's mafia?

Baiting.

Sigh.

BFG man, why did you have to rand scum on me? I was hoping to village it up with such an auspicious person as you.

There's a soft parallel between BFG and Verb in how they tackle lynching tom. If one of you is scum I suspect the other could be too.

In theory, I'm working in Morocco during November. Once we have final confirmation, that that project starts then next week I have a project to finish, one to handover and a methodology to prepare and teach, so I'll be very reliant on Key next week in all likelihood.

Incidentally, this was confirmed yesterday. I should have more time from Monday, although still not during my work hours (!) but I'm going to be mostly absent this week, as it currently looks like I'll be working long hours at work, plus getting house clear for extended absence...

I will try to keep up so I don't have a huge catch up on Monday, but we'll see.

I don't know, but I don't think it's safe to conclude anything massive over the power role. Let's hope it all works out.

Yeah, at the very beginning of the game he came straight at Tom with a case.

Tom do you really think a wolf would be so ballsy as to come straight at you if you're a villager immediately at the start of the game?

As I reread last night, I remember right it being a subtle attempt by both bfg and verb; they used other players to push tom, instead of doing their own work.

If that's the case... that's kinda wolfy.

If they are wolves, that probably spews Tom clear harder than even a cop investigation.

This probably sounds weird but anyone who has felt off about me when I'm a wolf but couldn't put their finger on it likely knows what I mean when I say:

Every Verb post makes me switch my opinion of him. Wolf, villager, wolf, villager.

I think that's the telltale sign of an experienced wolf.

I want to lynch Verbal.

I get what you mean here, but for me, Verb always feels like that. I used to always read him scummy, regardless if what he actually was. And I'm leery of the way 4 votes quickly piled up on him after his posts about dice and thane.

I've only skim-read the last few pages, but I'm not feeling that Verb is scummy atm. I'm not sure I agree with his read on dice, but it's Day 1 and I know I'm struggling to form any solid reads, and I feel like that's where Verb is at too.

I don't have any strong scumreads. I'm leery about Tommy, Arsis, Thane, monstr, and AJ, though to differing degrees. My strongest town read is Lates, and I'm leaning town also on Cuddles, Sili, and Despo.

I need to look back at Key/BFG and dice, because I know they've posted but can't recall much if it.

Anyway, my lunch is about over, be back after work.

why a BFKey wagon?

Key's posting is in her scum range and feels a bit... I don't know how to explain it. Easy to make as scum.

BFG posting one list of reads every few days is uninspiring. I recall she dislikes being scum. As town I am usually able to read her as town quickly.

Sili reminded me that both Verb and BFKEY were subtly egging people on to distrust me.

Good enough for a wagon

why a BFKey wagon?

BFG doesn't really enjoy being Mafia and she's been super invisible and had one ~real impact in a WoT post and I think that's supposed to be "good Mafia play" here (to have long, content-driven posts) but nothing in there was particularly special and non-consensusy or retread of things other people have said before. She always seems more relaxed as a villager and writes cute little poems and talks from the heart and that's absent here

Key hasn't had a single post that's out of her wolf range and doesn't seem to be all that interested in moving things forward

Eh fine

Yeah I'm basically never trusting those two barring an innocent view

We'll see after a Day or two.

And after the cop is proven Sane and a GF has already flipped

Hi :)

welcome BFG

Sup dudes

Posting real quick before I clock in for my afternoon shift, skimmed the last few pages.

I like KeyFG/Verb wagons personally.

I agree the wonder twins have been mostly absent and there were tone issues I found with some of Key's early posts. She seemed on guard, if that makes sense. One thing I do remember is her mentioning she thought Verb looked good for his quick start.

Cory I think the FranFran rule is a good way to apply to Sili here. The most I remember him as of recent is continual jokes about how blue he is. I don't think thread presence and post count indicate as strongly to villager play as some consider. It's not hard to fluff in real time imo.

For today I think any of

Verb

KeyFG

Pral

Arsis

Berf

Make solid lynches.

re BFG votes.

this is something i can go with actually.  with the exception of the arsis read i felt her reads list was very consensus-y .

I can also see what people are saying about key tho i admit to having not developed a read on her.  which probably means shes mafia actually.

BFG, the wagon on you is mostly my fault since I keep coming back to it.

I respect your instincts as a scumhunter. If you offer a good counter-proposal I'll look into it earnestly.

Yeah, like totally.

And that I didn't know key and him were partners, and still pushed him anyway, had nothing to do with it whatsoever.

You can shout to the four winds you are a one man army tommy, but it just ain't the case. This is a team game. We're all at fault for the wagon on BFGkey.
