I don't remember him putting himself as much out into the thread as scum (Spaceballs) as he's doing here, which is making me hesitate on labeling him as scummy.

 

Also, BFG has given me permission to share her thoughts from the QT. She was reading Thane as town earlier due to his level of involvement - though she's behind pages in game - and I trust her judgment on him more than mine since she's played more games with him.
