Verbal talk more about me imo

:flamingsword:

LOL

Your reads list is close enough to mine that I'm happy to not contest the Town Leader position.  You are more active and phrase your #solve posts better than I do, so I'll happily come along for the ride as long as our lists stay close together.  If I disagree on anything, you'll be the first to know.

The most I can think right now is that I believe you have Krak too high up.  Other than that, I'm cool.

It is entirely possible I'm going to end up wrong on this.  Krak's last post just put a huge dent in my read on him (in a good way).

Our reads so far (in no particular order).

Town Leans:

Tina

Verbal

Wolfish

Cory

Null:

Dice

Yates

Barm

Scum leans:

Hallia

Krak

Nolder

This reads list isn't sitting well with me.  I don't think there's any evidence to back up her town reads and it looks cobbled together.

@Leelou - do you agree with Nyn's reads?  Which would you change?

Well, gee, I wonder why it's not sitting well with you. So far you really have only pushed on Verbal and seemed to think Nolder is the only person that sees what you are saying. Sorry, but Nolder's post and vote might as well have been in another language. What you pointed out as scummy behavior from Verb, isn't. So far, he's shown more of a town attitude towards this game. I will be very shocked if he's scum.

I don't think you're town this game.

Instead of engaging you're simply content to snipe from the sidelines.

First off, Nolder is the only person that sees what I was saying and I understood what he was saying.  That doesn't make us right or wrong, but it does make sense.

Second, what Verb said wasn't scummy to you but that doesn't make it gospel.

Third, and mostly why I don't believe you, is because you had your mind made up before anything of note had happened.

1. In his post he did not state how he saw what you saw or not, it was blind following. His follow up posts have somewhat clarified that, but in no way did his initial post convey how he saw what you think you saw. How does it make sense?

2. I hate to pull this, but I happen to be one of the few people that knows/can read Verbal fairly easily early on and am 95% of the time right.

3. No, I didn't. I didn't like Nolder's post. Simple as that. It felt very odd.

Sorry, I don't have time to be fully engaged. I really wish people wouldn't hold this on me. It's crap. I'll post in depth and engaging posts when I have time. For now, this is what you get. So deal with it.

Look forward to seeing it then.

So who are your top 3 town leans atm?  Or closest to.

Meh. I don't like to do these. But I guess my top 3 would probably be Dice, Barm, Verb. Cory is sneaking in there. I'll need flips before I can lock anyone down. You're on the Town side of null, fwiw.

Yeah. On top of that I tend to agree that scum probably wouldn't take a chance at using the number after 7 knowing "something bad" would happen. Conversely, I think scum are try-hards when trivia rewards are offered. I need only refer to the multisite game some of you might remember that I won as GF with a cop claim and Nyn in Wizard mafia to back that up.

@nol - you called my post lazy, but I clearly stated I'd only gone up to page 7. If you didn't notice, there wasn't a ton of content up to that part. I'll try to continue on lunch!

I'd much rather you not post until you've fully caught up.

Take your time, we can wait.

That's a better response than your vote post. Just saying.

So there's a ridiculous amount of metagaming, which is basically useless to me. I'm bad at meta-gaming even when I am actively playing with people, and recall the days when it was considered taboo and people didn't use it to make their suspect lists.

I've just gone through and re-read the entire game. Here's what I have on everyone:

Leelou/Nyn - Nyn I'm having trouble reading, she seem's to be ok but I'm not getting a particular pro-town/scum read on her. Leelou however made that vote that I voted her over, and has been overly defensive of Verbal this entire game. I don't like it.

Krak - Doesn't seem very scummy to me, he's been consistent and has explained himself well.

Cory - Seems more likely to be innocent than not, though everything he said so far is largely based on meta-gaming so I'm just generally not putting much stock into his reads until he starts basing them more on what people are saying and doing this game.

Yates - Very focused on the meta. Seems townish

Mish/Kronos - Didn't realise until re-reading the thread now that they were the same person. That is very confusing. Mish comes across as innocent and Kronos is very single-minded which could go either way, but with Mish weighting it makes me think innocent.

Nolder - I think his original post had a reason, it just happened to be very weak. I'm more inclined to think scum because his vote on Hallia, which I think is plenty OMGUS and attempted coverup after.

Verbal - On the level so far, hasn't done anything notably scummy to me. I get Krak's scumtell of him but I don't necessarily see it as one myself.

Hallia - Need more info

Dice - Comes across as innocent to me, his thoughts have been ok.

So that is what I've got so far.

Not necessarily. I've seen both town and scum do this kind of thing before.

I think Mynd(?) pulled this as town and possibly got MKed for doing it twice... lol   And Lenlo did something similar as scum which then got him silenced for all of D1.

That's ridiculous considering I took this stance before I voted.

I stand by what I said regarding her post. She could have taken more time but instead she chose to read only half the game, quote someone else and say "I agree", and vote. It took no effort or thought and lacked any insight, especially on the rest of the game which is what's desperately needed from Hallia.

Nolder why are you posting in that horrible beige colour?

Also OMGUS does have meaning, and I think you used it to its fullest extent, then had to back yourself up so you've been attacking her activity level because you haven't got anything else to go on.

Barm, you listed everyone but me. :(

Oh! Oops. I knew that would probably happen. I even have a mark beside your name from when I went through the list so no idea how I missed you.

Tina - On the level, could go either way.

Barm and Tina, confirmed scum team.

Another serious post that you're not going to acknowledge for three days?

DM confirmed shook.

You're like a little Cory emulator, using all his terms he brought over.  Its kinda cute, in a weird and slightly creepy way.  :-)

Oh, and Krak is probably scum.

Maybe. I was kind of wondering while catching up actually.

Not sure if I have a bad read on you or if ya'll are bussing or what.

Thinks that Krak could be scum and that Verb is or isn´t on his team.

I think I see why you're confused.

I'm not trying to say Krak actually knew you were scum.

I think he just said it as a joke/reaction test and I think you reacted poorly to it, that's all.

But here he says that Krak didn´t know if Verb was scum. Which means that he doesn´t think that Krak has any other information than town.

It seems like these posts contradict each other. Thoughts?

1. Yeah I didn't like something Krak said when I was catching up. I don't know whether the scum is him or Verbal or they're bussing or what is going on.

I probably just don't have a good read. It's early and I'm not like putting full confidence 100% sure stamp of approval on my read or anything. It's just what I got right now.

3. I'm allowing for possibilities, including being wrong. You're reading my comments and reads as if I'm sure. I don't know Krak or Verbs alignment. Either or both or neither could be mafia and I'm trying to figure out which it is.

Bolded: Do you really think a two person mafia team would start bussing on page 3 or whatever it was?

Not really. The point I was trying to make is that I'm not very sure what I'm seeing, it could all have been nothing.

I was allowing for multiple possibilities including just me jumping at shadows.

So basically you have no idea what you think about this? Just random talking?

It's light salmon! And I have to do it for the rest of D1. It's a PR, sorry.

I disagree entirely.

OMGUS has been used for a long time now to simply describe someone who voted someone who voted them.

It no longer describes a very specific situation in which someone voted someone else for voting them.

OMGUS used to be about someone baselessly crossing with someone out of spite because they were voted.

My vote wasn't baseless and wasn't spiteful. Like I said before I didn't even know Hallia was serious at first.

I didn't vote Hallia because she voted me. I made that very clear from the beginning and have taken the time to clarify that further even though I thought it was clear enough from the beginning. I'm not attacking her activity level really, although I admit that is cause for concern. She said work was taking up her time and that's fine. The activity was taken by work and that's not a problem. The problem I have, again, is the laziness in her play. She voted after she only read 7 pages, she quoted a post (that didn't have much content to begin with) and said "this", and she didn't talk about anyone else in the game. How are we supposed to judge Hallia? How are we supposed to judge anyone else in relation to her? We don't know what she thinks about the game, what she thinks about the people in the game, nothing. We just know that she "got a bad feeling" from a couple posts I made at the start of the game. It's lazy play that to me reads as busy scum who saw her name called out and had to blurt out a post to give at least the appearance that she was going to keep up. You can agree or disagree with that assessment however you like but the one thing it wasn't was OMGUS.
